Pet Gnoblars are awards distributed by Stronghold members to other Stronghold members for high quality and above average contributions to the website or forum
You can see a member's Pet Gnoblar total to the left of their posts on the forum, just below their post count. This is where you'll also find the link to award Pet Gnoblars (labelled as "+1 Gnoblar"), provided you have reached the rank of Ogre Bull (1+ forum posts).
The following are some reasons as to why you might award a Pet Gnoblar to another member:
A great paint job.
A great conversion.
Good army list/tactics advice.
Good painting/converting advice.
Well written fiction.
A great Gnoblog update.
A great battle report.
Well written house rules.
A positive trading experience in the Gnoblar Market.
In addition to this, Pet Gnoblars are awarded to all participants of Stronghold competitions, for contributions to the Ogre Stronghold website, for successfully completing a Monthly Painting Challenge, and for a few specific Ogre Achievements.
Please post in this topic if you wish to state why you've given a member a Pet Gnoblar. Don't forget to name the member too!

Well I'll start here first, so for my first Pet Gnoblar I have given out is to warhammer_soth for this beautiful painting. (Link: http://ogrestronghold.com/forum/index.php?topic=5342.90 ) I think this is a spectacular piece of work so I think in my mind it deserves a Gnoblar Well Done warhammer_soth, good job. and keep it up. Well I've found another outstanding piece of work by the master of modelling and painting ... Corai, for his efforts in the whole of his Chariots of Fire models in his Gnoblog I think they all are outstanding so a Gnoblar is well deserved. Also this Corai's 20th Gnoblar, what an a achievment! Thanks, Malekith

I am continually impressed by Corai's contribution to the hobby as well, but as Malekith has just gifted him a gnoblar I will use my awesome powers to upgrade that gnob to Groinbiter status. Honestly, I mean that as a compliment! Now the unit is ready for any and all challenges

Simply put most of my ogre play is based on his tactics plus I just had a very good game against him (where he destroyed me). Reg06 earned a Pet Gnoblar from myself for being such a great sport in a Stronghold Battles game we played for the Summer League. His army was outmatched but he stayed positive, friendly, and stuck it out and that made the guilt of pounding him a little less keen. I hate one sided matches no matter which side I am on. Of course saying that doesn't mean I am going to give up my advantage while I have it. That would be disrespectful to my opponent, playing worse than I could.

I'd like to award my first pet gnoblar to Just-Josh for his idea of a Legendary Stronghold Christmas Battle. Wish I'd thought of it.

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.
And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.

Hmm. I thought you had to write on this thread to nominate someone for a gnoblar. I thought only administrators could actually give one or make a topic sticky, or am I wrong?

Nope - anyone above 500 posts or, in other words, with the rank of Hunter, can award pet gnoblars. You can see the +1 icon under the Pet gnoblas in the profile on the left - you click it and award a gnoblar
