Thank you Everyone!! @ Winbear: sorry about the gnoblar thing Im not sure how to give it back to you.. But You can have it back NP at all @ poker face: Ive been playing Roleplaying/table top games most of my life.. and Ive tooled around with wargames off and on.. But I really got heavy into warhammer around 3 years ago.. I havent really had any Time the last couple of days.. But I sat down and took 10mins to finish my bellower.. Ill pre-make a number of bases tonight and I should have enough time next week to get serious about painting some minis.. I also need to figure out my movement tray, And if Im feeling inspired I would like to draw a few Ogre Pics as well... But we will see how it all goes.. and If I end up with as much spare time as I think Ill have this next week..

Ill be converting a few.. Gutripper Tribe... Ill be starting out building a Skrag list and add to it from there... I most likey will have you all help me build a competitive skrag(I just really want to build and paint this model)list.. and Ill end up making a display board for them.. but again thats after I get my core built..

there is no way you can use a brush to make such small dots for eyes..
Yep.. I do.. But I also paint my Eyes in first. I find it easier to touch up around them, rather then try to touch them up if I make a mistake.. get them done first, done right, and just done and out of the way... makes life easier on you... I did mention this would be a SLOW process right....? I got a little painting done this morning.. Im waiting on a box of Kroots to be dropped off.. but till they show up its all about my Ogres.... Getting #4 ready for prime and I have a gnoblar all primed up and ready for a paint test... ..well see how it goes..

I'm sorry these are painted too well, you're going to have to remove the pictures. That said, something's bugging me about the gutplates, they just look a bit too dull or flat. I can't really explain it.

I think these mulit-color pants and red body paint actually make a decent theme, those bases really make the unit shine, good luck with your battalion.

Thank you Everyone!! Yes. I will be doing a Unit of 25 Gnoblars Next.. the models I know I will be building are: - Tyrant (Im still working on backstory/concept sketches) - Bruiser/BSB - 2 Butchers (Ones My Skullmantle/siegebreaker concept) - 3 units of 4 Ironguts -2er 1 units of 4 Bulls (ones done) - 2 units of 25 gnoblars - 6 Maneaters (will tie in with my tyrant) - a rhinox pulled chuckwagon (decor) I kinda want to get my Bulls and Gnoblars done before I break into converting special characters..
Anyhow I swapped the Bulls around so they look more cohesive... ..woohoo...

They are Not hard to Find WinBear just spend a few mins on CoolMiniOrNot.. For instance on that site my conversions/painting skills warrant me a score of 7-7.8 on a scale of 1-10.. There are ALOT of models that Rank 8-9+....

Ill get some more pics up in a couple days.. I have my camera set up to shoot on a flat grid right now. Im taking pics of the articulation of this little robot toy.. While Ive said no to alot of commission work because sculpting&painting has begun to feel like work lately.. I was asked to make a custom 1/32 scale Transformer robot and I think Its going to be kinda fun!! Im Taking pics of a little Tranformer right now because im trying to break my build down before hand so its not so daunting when I jump into it... Building an action figure will be kinda fun... If nothing else Its Something New...

Im not sure Yet about specifics all I know is that its a Jet so Im assuming something kinda like the G1 version of StarScream But I could be Wrong.. Ill know more info tonight.

Hey Everyone!
This isn't so much an "update" as a response to a number of emails Ive gotten and an apology to A few people for the number of commissions I blew off this summer.. ..I kinda messed myself up.. I fractured the L5 disk in my spine and really haven't been able to do much of anything let alone painting my Ogres. I am doing Ok now.. Im in Physical therapy twice a week. Ive been told Im still not allowed to go back to work for at least the rest of this Year... So Ill have some free time Coming up, and rest assured between that and the cold weather kicking in Ill end up getting a few models painted again..
and Ill be back to sketching and sculpting soon! ~Z

Hey Everyone! sorry I haven't been Posting Here.. I just haven't made it back around to my Ogres Yet.. I was asked to help a friend with some 40k projects and Ive kinda been stuck in that mode ever since... Heres some tid bits of what Ive been up too.. Did some Iron Warrior conversion along with a few Salamanders and I also Painted up some Crimson Fists.. Some Tyranids and a few other odds and Ends trying to make up for blowing everyone off this summer.. Im Getting Ready for Surgery In a few weeks and Ive started putting together a Space marine army for myself.... Some Black Templars
Well.. Thats about it really.. Im still planning on working on my Ogres.. A number of people have offered to buy them.. But I have no plans on selling them just Yet..

Happy Turkey Day! Thanksgiving is a great holiday!! An Ogre Holiday! One of those holidays that perpetuates the rise of the growing U.S. obesity rate.. Yum yum.. commissions ran me out of Spacemarine Parts, so Ive began to work on my Tzeentch('zēnch) army since I've acquired a boat of of chaos bitz through trades.. His weapons are still rough and the golds need to be tightened up.. Still a ton of stars to finish, and blending to do but hes coming along well.. Anyhow.. Thats the short of it...

Thanks Everyone! 40k is alot bigger around here then fantasy... mostly because the 2 major shop owners play 40k and pander more to the 40k players in town.. I gave him a white Marble Base to further contrast with most other Chaos armies.. should look great in number..

the lengths all the same. just a bit thinner. Tho couldn't actually go any bigger without becoming equal or larger then the actual space marine arms themselves.. I think it would end up looking weird then..
But then again I like the more fiddly cybernetics of Necrons, or the Terminator.. other then the ones with armor incorporated like Robo-cop.. Tho I still have a little bit of work on the elbow ((just making the forearm transition work smoother)).. and the wires will help giving it some visual girth without adding any real mass..

I trust your judgment ... I think it is the hands/gauntlets that look a bit flimsy. Perhaps the wiring will beef that up as you suggested. Either way, great work with both GS and plasticard!

Thanks Guys.. Ah I get yah Randroid.. I have sculpted a Hand on the otherside of the hand armor plate.. Tiny Little fingers.. I smooshed 2 sets while trying to sculpt em.. Pain in the butt to do.. but you cant really see It or how it connects from these Pics...

I wanted to do a fine detailed sculpt.. SO Ive decided to do a Sisters of Battle... I used a Resin blank I made last year to do elf conversions.. and sculpted over that.. If a Space Marine is supposed to be an Eight foot tall Monster she should scale right in at around just under 6' when Im done.. Im most likely going to cast it in resin really quick so I can evenly sand a few spots down and try to work in some Micro details like Rivets and what not..

I think there is certainly a market for Valkia sculpts, especially if you cast them in resin. I know I want one!
Yeah.. I still don't have the right equipment to be able to effectively cast for profit.. Especially things revolving around GW's IP.. I do little things mostly.. like my own personal minis.. Or right now My sisters of Battle legs. I just couldnt seem to get Nice proportionate legs down in a single sculpt.. so Ive since casted them and Im sanding them down smoothing them out and reworking them in resin form.. then I recast that as a Blank so I have something to sculpt onto.. But I Do have Her Pic I my Project logs Now

Well.. I must have my ratio wrong because this batch didnt setup right.. after 10hours its still kinda rubbery.. I must have not been paying attention last night.. so Ill be pitching these.. but heres what the legs look like with the head and body.. guess ill be mixing resin again today...

Another day spent making molds... Im trying to cast the head and torso I sculpted and the last one didnt come out.. had some odd voids and didnt pick up the detail I needed... So I grabbed my shaker table and here goes act Number #2.. Silicone takes Forever((3-4 hours... hey thats a long time per side.. thats 8 hours for a two part Mold..)) to cure so messing up a Mold is disheartening.. Bleh..

Thanks! yeah.. It wasnt anyone here.. I have it posted else where and instead of nitpicking The sculpt.. which I would like.. they sat and nitpicked how I had my model tacked together for the W.I.P. shots or proportion issues they perceived based on the other pic.. So I casted her really quick this morning and took a pic so they can Nitpick the actuality of her proportions...

My Son's birthday is this weekend, and Ive been distracted by Family.. I still Need to work out the shotguns, and detail the Gats... All in all I should have everyone roughed outby the end of this weekend and just be detailing next week..

Yea.. Some times its harder than others.. Its all just practice and I'm thankful to get the chance to practice my skills.. I get a number of other commissions that help break it up too, Like I have a skaven commission coming up, so I get to go cross-eyed and practice smaller details for a little while..

Zsoulless these guys are awesome mate! Your sculpting is on-point and these guys just look the bomb mate!
I can honestly say that RL has gotten in the way of everything for me at present (though the hassle of real life is now coming to an end! ) but it is looking at your work that is making me really hungry to get back into the hobby again after my somewhat enforced hiatus! I just want to grab some greenstuff and do some sculpting again.
You work is superb and is an inspiration mate, please keep it up! You keep doing what your doing and I promise I will keep watching!
