Eldercaveman's Bloodmaw Tribe (Picture Heavy!)

original thread ↗

A few shots of my Ogre's I took before my first tournament last year, the tribe has grown vastly since then! I only started playing WFB about 2 months before this event (Raze and Ruin) so I wrote a list that I could get easily and tried to get that painted in time. Apparently my filth carries over from 40k as I ended up with the second lowest Tally comp score at the event with a -9! However I did go 0-5 for the whole event with some rotten luck on day 2, and a 30 hour long day on day 1!

Leadbelchers...

My converted Firebelly inside his unit of Bulls. One of the things I have done with this army is converted all my characters from the core Ogre sprue, rather than any of the Finecast kits...

My Gutstar with Slaughtermaster (Red Crown) and Bruiser BSB in the middle...

I'll add some more photos of the work I've done since this lot was painted in later posts. Hope you enjoy looking!
Very nicely painted! I like the simplicity of the butcher and firebelly conversions too, and the charred paint job is fantastic, I'd never have thought to do it like that. Looking forward to seeing the rest!
Very nice indeed, liking the basing especially

Fantastic army you've got here. That ogre with the burnt skin (I'm guessing he's a firebelly?) looks painful, you can almost smell him cooking! Wonderful job.

Cheers guys!

All my conversions are real simple, more kit bashes than anything else. I'll get some decent lighting set up and post some pictures of everything else I have.

The Firebelly was a real fun one to do. The build was nice and simple, just green stuffed him a belly to cover the Gutplate hole. And then cut down the bear trap hand. His arm was primed white, then covered in crackle paint, before priming it black again, and then just did a variation of my lava power weapons on his arm.
Just been browsing some posts and that firebelly is really great. Not seen that crackle paint used for anything except basing! Nice one
Its taken me ages to track back through posts to see where I saw the Firebelly I so liked! Now I have found him! You have inspired me to do my own....for that alone have a Gnoblar my friend! Treat him badly and beat him with the contempt he deserves!!

That's awesome, I'm sure you'll do a wicked job of it. If you would like to know how I did the crackle effect and fire patterns just ask :)
