Tribe DataBaste - Introduce Your Tribe!

original thread ↗

Many moons ago, the Butchers of the Stronghold declared that it was the will of the Maw that the details of all Ogre Tribes visiting the Stronghold should be recorded. This information is collected and placed into a vast DataBaste by the most skilled of Gnoblar scribes, preserved in the Stronghold vaults for all time.

Feel free to use the following format as a rough guide when introducing your Tribe:

Tribe Name:
Tribe Symbol (image or description):
Tyrant Name:
Tribe Background Info:

This topic is for unofficial Tribes only. Don't forget to add your Tribe's details to your profile!
Tribe name: "Tribe of the Hammer Mist"

Tribe Symbol (Image or description.): An outline of an inverted hammer.

Tyrant Name: Arghelt the Silent.

Brief Tribe Background Info: Arghelt the Silent, Tyrant of the Hammer Mist Tribe makes his tribes' camp on the outskirts of the Flayed Rock in the marshes of the River Ruin. Like those of the Moonbiter Tribe, the Ogres of the Hammer Mist only attack when a certain condition occurs; fog. Stories from weary merchants attacked along the old Spice Route tell of the silence in the trees that surrounded them before rampant beasts came raining from the forest like water down a fall. Fisherman on the River Ruin tell stories of strange sightings in which an Ogre of large stature had been seen walking along the rocks of the murky coast w/ that of a being no larger then that of a Gnoblar.
Tribe Name: The GreatHead Tribe

Tribe Symbol: a Blu Triangle

Tyrant Name: Ikimik Greathead

Brief Tribe Background Info: The GreatHead tribe were merceneries hired by the empire; yet, when the greatheads became too big and too powerful, Duke Leopold of Middenland diceded to put an end to the hire, and to kill the greatheads.
He sent a small group of men to kill the chief of the greatheads, Mikimi, Ikimik's father, but the plan didn't quite go as planned: the men were all killed, bar one, who accidentally stumbled on a tree root, and shot a dart from his crossbow, wounding Mikimi to death.
This was the start of Ikimik's rath, who, from this episode on, has a grudge against the empire, and seeks revenge.
Yet, the revenge is not because Duke Leopold sent men to kill his father, but because such men actually killed him, 'cause Ikimik wanted to do it himself.

Recently, at a Arena of Death, held for his birthday, Ikimik managed to kill Leopold, but the word has spread, thourgh out the Empire, and the Greatheads have to live as renegades within the Empire.

cheers
Tribe Name: The Change Eaters

Tribe Symbol (image or description):  The Tzeentch rune with the circle at the centre replaced b y the great maw icon (image to follow)

Tyrant Name: Skryonn

Brief Tribe Background Info: Cast out from his tribe as a youth, Skryonn travelled north, only to finaly succom to the warping inlfuences of chaos, and become possessed by one of the daemons of Tzeentch. Returning to his tribe as a daemonhost, the now changed Skryonn set about manipulating the ogres into doing his bidding. He created the animated puppet Gyrathor to fulfill the traditional ogre cultural role of Tyrant and through Gyrathor, Skryonn enforces his will on the Change Eaters. Over time, the ogres in the tribe began to mutate as Skryonn had, their skin turning a dark blue and albino fur sprouting from their shoulders. Now, following a plan near incomprehensible in its complexity, the Change Eaters march to war on the Empire of Man.

Thanks

Tribe Name: The Fluer di Lis tribe. Or the flower of the lake tribe

Tribe Symbol (image or description): The fluer di Lis. usually upside down but sideways works as well

Tyrant Name:Sirruh Wretched Longshanks the Tird.

Wretched campaigned heavily in Bretonnia when he was a maneater and came to respect the ways of the Bretonnians. He also liked the way they dressed in pretty blankets. So he ordered his boys to go out and collect a blanket for each of them. He has tried to instill the Bretonnian virtues into his tribe (Like Damsels for butchers) but an ogre can only go so far.
Tribe Name:   The Oni Kingdoms of Nippon

Tribe Symbol:   The great maw; Celestial Dragon: Mukade (centipede)

Tyrant Name:          Tojiro the devil (Red Devil’s Clan)
2nd in command:       Shishio of the Soheis (The Temple Dog Clan)

Brief Tribe Background Info: Oni is the oriental word for ogres, oni are however occasionally seen in the holy lands of Nippon and was rumored that they came from the Isles after the great light from the sky appeared. Before the unification of Nippon, daimyos of different clans where at war with each other for land and power. In times of need, some daimyos resort in hiring ogres for their army, until the time when every surviving clan have ogres in their front line. After years of war, the true Emperor of Nippon rose in power and united all the clans since the ruinous powers of the north are threatening the northern borders. Since Nippon never experienced peace for a long time, they gathered all the remaining ogres and once again appointed them to help guard and defend the northern borders of the holy land from the ruinous powers of the chaos.
Tribe Name: Golddiggers tribe (or "Scrooge and his friends" if you are given the chance to ask other tribes)

Tribe Symbol (image or description):This one is still open for debate

Tyrant Name:Dor Golddigger

Brief Tribe Background Info:
The golddigger tribe spied on a dwarven miner crew long enough how to extract gold.
Though not as efficient and graceful as dwarves, they get alot of gold out of the mines, they captured from the dwarves.
Well, captured... they slew all dwarves and used their tools to start mining themselves.
The only worry now is not to appear richer then the overtyrant himself or overthrow him.
Tribe Name: Man’gol tribe

Tribe Symbol (image or description): Blue silk pants

Tyrant Name: OG’DEI KHAN

Brief Tribe Background Info:The Man’gol tribe has had perhaps more contact with the thinling’s of Cathay than any other Ogre tribe.   This has, in turn, had influence on their spiritual beliefs that have stemmed from watching and observing Cathayan culture. (It was also seen as bad form to eat the Cathayan Warlord’s royal entourage)

Having become mercenary in nature, due to constant chaos incursions into their hunting grounds, the remnants of the tribe, after one particularly devastating invasion, found their way into the lands and subsequent pay of Cathayan Warlords.   These Warlords saw the potential for large, murderous Ogres, in support of their main battle line troops.  Over time these Ogres became well trained and lost some of their “raw” qualities. Not that one can take the Ogre out altogether.

One famous Cathayan warlord, Sin’Tsu, utilised the Ogre elite as his personal bodyguard.  During this period of employment the Ogres, then led by OB’DEI, learned weapon skills and martial prowess beyond that of normal tribal ogres.  Tactics became a decision process and the utilisation of smaller but faster units in combined attacks was practiced.   It was taught that defeat of the enemy was not just a process of bludgeoning the enemy with big weapons, but by also breaking their spirit with flank attacks and by surprise.
Tribe Name:   Daemonslayers

Symbol:   Desolation Symbol (skull inside the Maw)

Tyrant:   Varga Daemonslayer (formerly Beastkiller)

Background:   Varga Beastkiller fought around Middenheim under the pay of the Graf during the Storm of Chaos.  When the hordes of Chaos were routed, he pursued them north and ended up in the Chaos Wastes.  He wandered around with his army which dwindled with the constant fighting leaving just his bodyguards.  He was set upon by a Daemon Prince of Khorne and engaged in a mighty duel.  He lost his right arm and an eye to the beast but was victorious and ate it's heart in celebration. He eventually found his way out of the Wastes and passed through the lands of the Chaos Dwarves.  He traded loot and slaves for them to fashion him a new arm powered by a shard of wyrdstone.  A short while later some strange scar tissue spread across his chest from the implant...  This feat combined with the horrific aura from the wyrdstone has earned him the new title of Daemonslayer.
Tribe Name:   The Brassbelly Tribe (or Brassbellies for short)

Symbol:   Dragon Skull

Tyrant:   Orgath Dragoneater

Background:   Will write up later - need to fix some parts.
Tribe Name: The Gorechompers

Tribe Symbol: A red maw (they are also recognizable for the way they keep their own mouths perpetually smeared with blood)

Tyrant: Orgok Gorechomper

Background: Work in Progress, will post soon
Tribe Name: The Dead Eyes Tribe

Tribe Symbol: Eye skewered on a fork, all Bull's have removed one of their eyes.

Tyrant Name: Eyup Catstepper Ladderstroll Mirrorbreaker the 5 'n' 5 'n' 3rd

Brief Tribe Background Info: Heralding from one of the smallest kingdoms within the Mountains of Mourn the Dead eyes have one of the queerest tales of any Ogre to tell:

For many generations the Dead Eyes, named for their initiation ritual of searing ones own eye out and then drinking from a goblet filled with the resultant fluids, were nothing special among their Ogre peers, a long history of infighting, warfare, feasts and hunts stretched behind them, with more of the same seeming certain in their future. However all changed when on a job hired to remove a rogue wizard and his heretical enclave from the lands around Hergig a young bull called Eyup (noted as 'Eyup The Idiot' in later tales) succeeded in closing in on the foul magician and smiting him with a mighty swing of his club, just as the last mysterious words of the wizards spell were cast. Returning to his mountainous homeland Eyup learned that the former Tyrant, Gluft Rawslurper, had choked to death on a not-yet-dead Squirrel, and by utter chance Eyup had tripped over the ceremonial Gut plate hidden by butchers as a way of deciding the Tyrants successor. But this good fortune soon revealed it's inner malice, as all about his realm things were going wrong, weird things. Like a pebble who after been knocked out of place by a woodpecker caused a landslide which killed two of Eyup's most trusted Iron Guts! So it was with a forgivable sense of trepidation that they marched to war against a rising kingdom to the north, but then things took another turn; cannons misfired, huge blades shattrered and cruel magic backfired on its users, all leaving the Dead Eyes unharmed, yes it seemed that when the chips were down, the dead eyes wre invincible!
So now as a tribe of utter paranoids who quake at the sound of clattering pebbles who nontheless attempt many foolish tricks in the hopes of breaking the spell, no more than their curent Tyrant (whose endeavours have been loyally listed in his title) they go to battle eager to suffer a heroic death. Cheering comrades whose lives are ended at the end of an enemys blaes, and not the end of their table.

Sorry it's a bit long winded, I cut and pasted from the Maw Pit Sagas.
Tribe Name: The Mawguard

Tribe Symbol (image or description): A red maw, in a black circle

Tyrant Name: Slaughter-Tyrant Ghworg Gut-Maw Soulsucker Corpse-Collector

Brief Tribe Background Info:

The Mawguard are a small Tribe of Maw-fanatics who live in the ruins of the Giant Skycastles. They believe that it is their task to protect the Holy Maw from outsiders who would defile it, and so are intensely xenophobic, though they seem to have close relations with an outlawed Dark Elf House. Recently, there was great upheaval within the Tribe as the Tyrant had been killed in battle and his only offspring was a pitiful runt named Ghworg. In order to gain the strength he needed to gain control of his Tribe, Ghworg decided to make a pilgrimage to the Maw. His opponents let him go reasoning that either the Maw would destroy him or he would return in too pitiful a state to rule. However, they were wrong. What passed between Ghworg and the Maw, none can tell. But when he emerged from the Wastes, Ghworg had become a mountain of flesh and muscle, able to command the forces of Gut magic. And, instead of a gut he had a vast maw full of daggerlike teeth, his natural mouth having been fused shut. With this Maw, Ghworg was able to suck the souls from his victims, and with each soul devoured, his power grew. Using his new gifts, Ghworg took control of the Mawguard and has been their unchallenged leader to this day.

Ghworg
Tribe Name: Clan Death-Dealer

Tribe Symbol: Three parallel(ish) scars down each shoulder and a scar beneath each eye

Tyrant Name: Forgrim Death-Dealer

Brief Tribe Background Info:
Clan Death-Dealer originated as outlaws from the Sky Fang Tribe after their leader Forgrim Beast-Killer had a disagreement with his tyrant. Forgrim and 10 loyal lads traveled to the Empire and took up the life of mercenaries. The tribe name comes from the tribes early days when they fought a greater-daemon of Nurgle in the southern Empire. Only the Tyrant and two loyal followers survived to tell the tale (over and over and over...). After his recovery, the clan began to grow again with new followers, each carving scars into their shoulders and beneath their eyes to resemble their Tyrant's Daemon-Killer Scars and in hope to recieve some of his furosity. The clan is now named after Forgrim's greatest feat: He dealt death its own blow.
Tribe Name: The Granitegut Tribe

Tribe Symbol: Codex Grey Mountain symbol

Tyrant Name: Vigror Mountainsmash Wallcrusher Granitegut the Momma's Boy

Brief Tribe Background Info: Hailing from the central Mountains of Mourn, the Granitegut Tribe are connsumate craftsmen, and by far the best producers of stonewear and exporters of valuable ores. This, combined with their close proximity to the trade routes and the Goldtooths, has lead them to cooperate heavily with the traders of the Silk Road. Indeed, it isn't unheard of finding stonewear marked with the distictive Granitegut symbol, a jagged tooth-like mountain carved into the bottom of the item. Tyrant Vigror and the tribe's Slaughtermaster Momma Cora rule the Graniteguts with a stony fist.
Tribal Name: Black Iron Tribe

Tirbal Symbol (image or description): A Cathyan Long sword made with black iron.

Tyrant Name: Tyrant Black Iron Slave Bringer

Brief Tribe Background Info:

Some members have actually started to learn the arts of weapon crafting from the Chaos Dwarfs and brought this knowledge back to the tribe with Tyrant Black Iron being the first of them. While still a small clan they have began to increase in size making their mark known. Their eyes are turning onto other tribes, to incorporate them into their tribe either by allowing their strong in by will or if that fails, by force.

Tribe Name: The Beer-drinker Tribe

Tribe Symbol: A mug. And since the tyrants favorite color is pink, all of the tattoos of it are in pink, and on all the banners it's pink as well

Tyrant Name: Borug Beer-drinker

Brief Tribe Background Info: Um.. they like beer. A lot. And... That's about as far as I've come
Tribe Name : Fire Eaters
Tribe Symbol : Maw with flames behind it
Tyrant Name : Steelgutte FireBreath
Tribe Background : While a maneater, Steelgutte FireBreath found himself in the far east of Cathay, where he discovered the wonders of their cuisine, especially the hot peppers they used to liven up their food.  Now that he has returned home and founded his own tribe, he is searching throughout the old worlde for the hottest food he can find.
Tribe Name: The Beastslayer tribe

Tribe Symbol http://img142.imageshack.us/my.php?image=beastslayersymbolfe9.png (image or description): (please forgive the dodgyness of this symbol- i whipped it up in about three minutes flat on paint. You get the idea though. The tribe's clothing/banners are generally blue, with yellow used for the symbol, markings and warpaint).

Tyrant Name: Kuzreg Tuskgutt the Beastslayer

Brief Tribe Background Info:
My Tyrant, Kuzreg, was the son of a Hunter in the Fleshwhipper* tribe. As a young ogre he inherited his father dislike for beasts, but did not inherit his "loner" attitude, and indeed had great Leadership skills. One day, the tribe's Tyrant, Lutker fleshwhipper, had his Ironguts aquire a huge chaos mammoth as a trophy. Kuzreg took an instant dislike to it. Kuzregs dislike turned to complete hatred when the thing sat on Kuzregs favourite Gnoblar, "Bolt". In a fit of Black Rage, Kuzreg charged the thing. Though it should not have been possible, a colossal battle took place, and Kuzreg single-handedly slew the creature. Wrenching out two of its tusks, he whittles them down, fastened them to his gut plate, and took the name Tuskgutt Beastslayer. For this insurrection, Lutker threw him out of the tribe and declared him a traitor. Kuzregs best friends also abandoned the tribe, choosing instead to follow him. They founded the Beastslayer tribe. Many Years later, Kuzreg returned to face Lutker once again. His tribe, which had grown large, launched a full out attack against the Fleshwhippers camp. During the attack, Kuzreg discovered the rotting corpse of his father, impaled on a large spike. He had been martyred before the whole tribe, to pay for his sons wrongs. Furious, Kuzreg wrenched his fathers hammer from the iron grip of his dead fathers hands, and sought out Lutker, slaying him and his rhinox mount in an epic battle.

Cheers ppl if you're still reading!
Kuz

*I randomly made up the name Fleshwhipper ages ago. If anyone has actually called their tribe that, sincere apologies! Message me and I'll happily change it.
Tribe Name: Ardgar’s Brigands of the Ivory Road

Tribe Symbol (image or description): Nothing in particular, except a large use of ivory in the making of armour and weapons

Tyrant Name: Ardgar

Brief Tribe Background Info: Ardgar is the second Tyrant of this tribe, after Bralst's murder by a Sinissa a Daemon Spawn sent by the Chaos Sorcerer Il-Asimar . Since then, Ardgar's Brigands intercept most travelers that dare to use the Ivory Road, demanding a passage fee, plundering those who do not pay or just killing for the fun of it.

Tribe Name: The Stone Maws

Tribe Symbol: Dark skin and maw symbols made from or daubed on stones

Tyrant: Vaash

Tribe Background:
The Maws live in the foothills of the mountains bordering the desert and prey on or protect caravans attempting the last stretch of the Cathay road. A tribe seemingly cursed by bad fortune but known for being particularly vicious and dangerously unpredictable even by ogre standards. Dark skinned from living so long in warmer climes they are not very comfortable around other Ogres.
Over the years the tribe has hired out many of its bulls to other races around the old-world and, it seems, weakened itself. Grok'Nar has ordered Vaash to travel the Old World to reunite the Maws so that they might become a power in the Ogre Kingdoms. Vaash however has his eye on bringing back an army with which to claim control of the tribe.

you're a sick man stone dog   excellent idea!
Tribe Name; BloodPrint
Symbol; Bloody hand print
Tyrant; Wunka Bloodprint

History; well, there is a bit and I don't want to put down so much it's boring... so here are the basics and recegnizable features;

-mercenary army - comprised of outcasts from several other tribes (notably Eye-biters and Feastmasters)

-All ogres swear loyalty first to the tribe, then army, then battalion, then unit, then his tribe-brothers. The only "great maw" they are completely loyal to is about 2 inches under their nose.

-Tyrant is more of a general than a tyrant, he isn't and doesn't try to be the biggest or baddest. His ogres follow him because he inspires loyalty in them, not because he beats the tar out of them.

-They believe that being the biggest is not enough, and constantly train to improve their skills and discipline.

-Bulls wear scarves over the mouth when going to battle. Ironguts wear chain masks. No Bloodprint will go to war with his mouth uncovered, and they will not remove their mask to eat until after the battle.

-part of their training is in combat techniques... the highly skilled technique of leading with their off hand, knocking away the enemies defense with it or just grabbing them and holding them still while beating them with their club. This results in taking lots of hand wounds and almost all enemies killed by the tribe having a bloody ogre handprint somewhere on their body.

-Veterans and elite of the tribe will always be one-handed, having taken too many hand wounds for the hand to be useful any more. As a mark of promotion, the Tyrant or one of his direct commanders will assemble the tribe for a feast... The ranking Officer will then bite off the hand of the ogre to be promoted, signaling the start of a great feast in honor of that Ogre (who is immediately bandaged and healed.) All ogres present are expected to eat their fill except for the single ogre who consumed the hand of the honoree, demonstrating that this ogre has used his hand to feed the tribe. The amount of food consumed at these feasts in their honor is a point of great pride to the promoted Ogre.
Ogre General's Warning: Following any advice or suggestions proposed in this post could be hazzardous to your win/loss ratio. The poster above has an inflated opinion of himself and a talent for sounding like he knows what he is talking about when he is actually clueless.

My story: A Bloodprint's Story
Tribe Name: Green Mawfang

Tribe Symbol (image or description): Image of the maw with one green bigger fang!

Tyrant Name: Grumble guts

Brief Tribe Background Info: Grumble guts went to see the great maw himself,After many months he came back a very different ogre. Behind him he dragged a huge dark green glowing stone fang, which quickly replaced that of the original plain stone one of his tribe. He challenged his own father the tribes tyrant Big guts and with his new found strength killed and ate him. He then changed the name of the tribe to the green mawfang tribe, Thinking it and himself as being more devoted to the maw than his father and his crudely named Big gut tribe (ogres lack imagination). The green Mawfang is dragged by the current tribal champion to the great feasts and many of the tribe have started wearing shards of the fang as jewellery. The tribes butcher crazy leg, has even made a false leg out of a big piece of the maw fang. Although ogres are resilient the warpstone has began to alter them and even mutate them, this they see as a gift from the maw itself for their devotion and thats why other tribes have not gained their gifts. Under Grumble guts command the tribe have begun to strike west towards the empire searching for worthy oppponents to sacrifice to their guts and the maw. Unbeknown to Grumble guts the gorger that cappers on and follows his tribe to battle is his twisted twin brother who was thrown into the darkness shortly after birth for being so mutated himself!
P.E.T (portable edible treat).
Tribe Name: Blood Bathers Tribe

Tribe Symbol: The blood drop

Tyrant Name: Trigore Deathbleeder

Background info: Historically, after the fall of the great Maw, the Raging Red tribe was scattered close to the realms of Cathay. Angered by the separation of their tribe, the few ogres that banded together raided a nearby settlement. They killed without mercy, and gathered all the remaining bodies of the settlers and drained their blood into a butcher cauldron, and changed their tribal to the Blood Bathers. The Ogres bathed in the boiling blood as a ritual victory. This very quickly became tradition, and over many generations the tribes skin turned blood red.
They now roam the earth, selling themselves as mercenaries, trying to find a home to settle down in and end their nomadic wandering.

Some times the dice love you, some times they don't. But when you roll 11's and 12's on the panic tests and 3's and 4's on the flee distance, you can be pretty sure that your dice are having an affair.
Tribal name: The wolgres

Tribal symbol: a red half crescent moon

Tyran name: Worg the devourer

Background: Ages have passed since the storm of chaos brought mutating fumes into the valley of the eastern mountains and turn the days into nights, lite only by a red moon. Now that chaos has receded, its effects are telling. Trees are bear, the grass is black, and beasts are sprouting appendages from side to side. One such beast, leader of his wolf pride, was truly blessed by the storm.

Indeed he grew in size and in canniness, and left his animalistic life to rally other wolves that had been so touched by the red moon. Now as tall and strong as a troll it was time for the wolgres to seek revenge upon those that have feasted upon the wolves for so long. Now it was Worg and his pride’s time to devour, and what better choice as a starter than ogres. Next, will surely be the human empire to the West. Under the watchful eye of the red moon, none shall escape the hunger of the wolgres, now the continent’s greatest predators.
Tribe Name: the Whelpgobblers

Tribal Symbol- A stick-figure child in a large stomach

Tyrant Name: Whelpgobbler Firkin Beastkiller Fak-Thubba Kathump, Who Had a Big Think One Time

Background: Dwell in the mountains along the Empire's southern border. The tribe quite accidentally discovered that, if they have their gnoblars kidnap children from surrounding human villages, they can get the humies to do all the tiresome building and cleaning they themselves don't want to do. They have found it an especially helpful way to force humans to sew their elaborate Fancy Pants, which they believe aids them in battle. On occasion, they even use the threat of devouring abducted children to force local human militias to fight in battle alongside them, even against Imperial forces sent to rescue the very same hostages.
Tribe name: Great Orcs of The Dragon's Mountain

Tribal symbol:

Tyrant's name:
Örüg-Khan

Background:
Great orcs are brutal, ogre-sized creatures, more dangerous even than the biggest black orcs. Judging by their phisical build they may seem slow and massive, but as soon as you see one of them fight, you'll change your opinion. They are surprisingly agile and their stamina is incredible. Even without the shaman's potions, they are able to march for six days and nights with minimal rest and absolutely no sleep. That enables them to cross vast distances in a small amount of time. They are also far more disciplined than their smaller brethren and are less  likely to start fighting among each other.
With the Great Orc culture, the goblins coexist succesfully. Goblins usually dont fight, as they are not able to keep up with their large masters, but some of them work as fast cavalry using wolves as mounts. Such wolf riders also serve as scouts.
Tribe Name: The Angry Fists
Tribe Symbol: A fist, trying very hard to look angry  ;)
Tyrant Name: Thrug Mansmasher the 2nd of the Angry Fists
Brief Tribe Background Info: Although I haven't properly written down any background, my tribe is wandering through the old world. Because they are rather fond of fighting and saving their strength for that, they have a high number of gnoblar servants in their tribe.

BigD

Tribe: The Friendbashers Tribe
Symbol: A black X
Tyrant Name: Ulgruk Friendbasher
Brief History: Originally part of the Hornsplitter tribe, Ulgruk began a crude rebellion when the tribe fell on hard times and the Hornsplitter tyrant seized all the food and supplies for himself in a fortified cave.  In the midst of the night, Ulgruk and his trusted ironguts slipped past the cave's defenses and murdered the tyrant and his bodyguard in their sleep.  Expecting a hero's welcome, Ulgruk was shocked when many of the Hornsplitter ogres remained loyal to their tyrant after his death and captured Ulgruk and his band of traitors as they returned with the stolen supplies and their former master's head.  Ulgruk and his followers were tortured and exiled into the barren wastelands below the tribe's mountain territory and left for dead.  What the Hornsplitters didn't expect was that the charismatic and resourcesful Ulgruk eeked out a living where no ogre could and managed to gather followers at a shocking rate.  Eventually, he amassed a raiding party large enough to take revenge on the Hornsplitters.

Brak landed anouther thudding blow to Grutshank's gut and he let out the most enourmous and bile ridden belch ever heard in the mountain hide away of the Frozen Maw tribe. Tribe: The Bonepicker Tribe

Tyrant: The Baron

Symbol:

Brief History: The hulking Tyrant known only as the Baron was but a young bull, ambitious and tough, when the Tribe he belonged to moved from the Mountains of Mourn to the far South-West, to the Southlands. There, the tribe’s Butchers grew in power, the tribe’s services bartered for the mystic knowledge of the witchdoctors that lived in the deepest jungles. Soon, the Tyrant of the tribe once more tired of the lands he ruled, and the tribe moved further West, into the Empire.
He soon found that it was harder to carve out a kingdom in the lands of Sigmar than the lands of South, and he and the greater part of the tribe was slaughtered by imperial artillery. The remnants fled to the aptly-named Cannibal Swamp, a deep marsh near the borders of the Empire, where the bull rose to dominance in a matter of days, growing in stature and power almost as though empowered by the swamp itself.
These days the Baron and his immediate bodyguard are more dead than alive, served by a tribe of young bulls and enslaved boglars, kept walking by the necromantic attentions of the Butchers and their sewing-gnoblars. They are feared for miles around the swamp, a nightmare of lumbering shapes and cyclopean red eyes in the fog.

Tyrant: Dozer Trollbreaker

Brief History:

Having grown too big for his home tribe, the Facebreakers, the hulking Dozer and his cronies were one day unceremonially kicked out upon the slopes of the Mountains of Mourn.  Needing anywhere to go, but preferrably far far away from all the other ogres cropping up of late, Dozer's ogres looked to their leader expectantly.  They were met with a blank stare - Dozer's tiny skull being the only thing thicker than his hide - but eventually a thought bubbled up in the bruiser's slug of a brain.  He squinted into the distance, pointed a massive finger at a tiny crag far far away and said, "Ova there."

Months of hard travel later, the ogres arrived at their own far crag, which proved to be not only a bit more temperate than expected but also beset with mountain trolls.  Thrilled at having something to fight, the ogres of Far Crag set in with gusto, slaughtering the sluggish-but-resilient trolls with abandon.  Once their own stocks were replenished, the tribe's butchers began amassing the trolls' guts in huge casks, several of which have made the grueling trip to the Goldtooth markets and cemented the Far Crags place in the marketplace (and gained the enmity of other tribes).

For his part Dozer was overjoyed to find opponents bigger and stupider than himself in the giant dire trolls lurking amongst the crag's caves and gorges.  After beating two to death for sport, Dozer broke and enslaved one of the largest to accompany his ogres into battle, earning his name in the process.

Since becoming established at their crag the tribe has come into contact with a significant lizardmen presence, and trappers have reported several sightings of tree demons moving through the woods surrounding the mountain.

Tribe Name: The Blood Devourers Tribe

Tribe Symbol: Blood drop

Tyrant Name: Dorakk Hammerfist Deathcheater Spineback, the dangerously sharp-minded (in ogre temrs ;))

Brief Tribe Background Info: It is a rather common occurence for Ogres to have an insatiable drive to travel the world, often in search of riches, food or some amalgamation of two... It is a relatively rare thing that an Ogre should travel purely because he is bored of maiming his fellow ogres, hunting and eating. So, can you imagine the scale of coronary arrest you'd suffer seeing a whole tribe of like-minded individuals trooping across the face of the globe?!?! Well, that is what happened when Dorakk became fed up with his incesantly mundane life in the Ogre Kingdoms, and sought to travel the world. Along his travels, he stumbled across other Ogres who were in the pursuit of those things that tend to draw Ogres away from their mountains (gold and food). Gradually, what one can only describe as a tribe began to form, and what tribe doesn't give theirselves a name? After a lot (half a minute or so) of thought, and careful (not really...) consideration, Dorakk, and his trusted (again, not really...) lieutenants decided to name themselves The Blood Devourers Tribe, simply as they tended to drink an awful lot of blood. Simple really. At present, they have made a makeshift encampment on the small, once elven colony, island of Tor Ellesar, where they can, and do, make regular travels to practically every corner of the world...

Tribe name:  The Blood Guts of Fallen City

Tribe symbol: A bloody paw print smeared upon the face or Gut plate

Tyrant name: GoGash Ankarfang of da Blood Guts

Brief History:  Taken from accounts of survivors (those who hadnt gone insane with fear)

The premise behind this Army is that the tribe of the Blood Guts were sick of the developing greed and moved out of Greasus Goldtooths Kingdom and taken up habitation in the Fallen city along Silver Road...raiding caravans and such.  Inside Fallen City the Horde consistently migrated around exploring new areas until one day they stumbled across an old graveyard containing the remnants of those who used to occupy Fallen City.  They ripped apart massive tombs and turned the Grave yard into their feasting area...the blood of their victims soon saturated the hollowed grounds they walked upon.  In doing so, the horde unitentionally awoke the long rested occupants of the grave yard.  No worry to the BloodGuts as they fought and slaughtered the awakened corpses.  They feasted upon the remains of those that crawled out of their graves.  Obviously during this some of the Ogres became bitten and they all indulged in the rotted meat that was just falling off of the corpses bodies.  In eating this tainted meat the blood guts were quickly turned into Zombies themselves.  With a renewed thirst for human flesh and blood they began expanding and exploring the lands for more flesh to devour...always coming back to the grave yard to feast.
Tribe Name: The Ever Night Tribe

Symbols: Lightning tattoos either bright red or blue

Tribe Tyrant: Nomak Kineater

The Ever Night tribes resides high in the mountains or mourn, belonging to a smaller subspecies of ogres with dark hughed skin and are rather quick witted and well spoken compared to other ogres. They have Night vision, and portray there tribe affiliation by bright lightning tattoos all over there body. There Tyrant, Nomak Kineater rides a giant scaled solid brass bull into battle, enchanted by supposed chaos dwarf slayers.
Right then I'll put my tribe in.

Tribe Name: The Forces Tribe

Tribe Symbol: A sun in the back then a moon over lapping the sun, along with a strike of lightning though the middle. All on a black back ground.

Tyrant Name: Crusher, Master of Light.

Brief History: The Ogres find an Orb of Ultimate Power, they are missing one other item. The Scroll of Ultimate Power, the Druchii hold this item and together Druchii and Ogre have to work together to make a sacred island in which to hide their items from the evil that come and hunts them. Chaos have been looking forever for these items and now they are just moments away from getting the things that they say are rightfully theirs! Can they stop them?

Well I'm in. :)

Tribe Name: The SkullSplitters

Tribe Symbol: N/A atm

Tyrant Name: Lurchy "the Stubborn" Headbuster

Basic History: The life of the SkullSplitters revolves around Pit Fights more so than most other tribes. This is because they mainly comprise of ex-mercs and pit fighters who have traveled all across the known world fighting(sum way or another) for money or food (usually both), and therefore there are many different subspecies of ogre with-in their ranks, from the dark skinned Ironguts from the mountain of mourn to the near albinos of the Bad Lands. Despite this fact they are quite a peaceful tribe, as long as no body provokes them in anyway (i.e. Getting seen). Where as with most over Ogre tribe take girth as the main symbol of status, it is not so with the SkullSplitters. Physical prowess is what matters here. From leadership challenges to who gets first choice on some loot, nearly everything is decided in the Pits. If the quarrel is deemed unworthy of emtering the pit then the arguement will be settled with a game of Punt-A-Runt.
You are young grasshopper, but you have long legs!
Tribe Name: Ironface Tribe

Tribe Symbol: rose-stalk with a maw at the top representing the petals.

Tyrant Name: Belchfist Beastkiller

Basic History: Live in close proximity to the Ironskin tribe of the North. Have great amounts of Leadbelcher cannoons at their disposal leaving many of the ogres in the tribe with pieces of metal embedded into their skulls...thus the Ironface Tribe was named. Belchfist Beastkiller is a ruthless Tyrant who wears almost no armour and favours a brace of handguns. He has a large tatto of the tribe's symbol on his chest. Often finding common cause against the marauding Ungols of the area The Ironface and Ironskin Tribe often fight together as one, and some have even mistaken the leadbelcher cannons of the Ironface tribe to be part of the Ironskins...a mistake Belchfist isn't happy about...

chanting the roof to the tavern collasped. Most of the ogres (including Kraul and thrall) survived the collapse. Still dazed from the collapse  Kraul was guted by Thrall, he then fell to his knees looking up at the sun while having his stomach fall out, Kraul was so hungry he imagined he ate the sun, so fooled by his hunger he quickly rose back up and spit a gaze of fire upon Thrall turning him to ash. Winning the brutal fight Kraul devoured the ash of the former tyrant. Becoming the tribes tyrant through the fight the tribes remaining butchers casted a regenaterive spell on him. Kraul brand as new, then took his tribe to go and take a new cavern. From then on he was known as Kraul the suneater. Now Kraul and his tribe march towords the sun looking for a way for Kraul to consume it, Kraul and his tribe believe  he would become a god if he did

When they got to the empire they found the cheese makers and ‘interviewed’ them to find out how they got cheese. The cheese makers told Ogg and his bodyguards to go to the very top of the most northern mountain in the mountains of mourn and there they would find a cave with walls of cheese so that is where Ogg went. When he got there he thought to himself “why giv dad all dis stoof” and that is where he made his tribe.

Tribe Name : Bonecrushers daemon eaters

Tyrant : Gothrag Bonecrusher the Deamonbreaker

Logo : orange ogre symbol for chaos within a black symbol of the maw (will attach image later) also ogres wear orange war paint lines over much of their body

Background : This tribes lands are practicably within the chaos wastes themselves and so these ogres encounter daemons and other forces of chaos more often than any other foe. Their tyrant Gothrag Bonecrusher the Deamonbreaker earned his 3rd name 20 years ago in great battle in pursuit of revenge against the Daemon prince Yall'eth for his massacre of the tribes great hall and the death of the previous tyrant Koxarth. In the great battle Gothrag and his trusted bruiser and drinking mate Nog confronted Yall'eth himself in the opening moves of the fight Nog was cut in too at the waist, Gothrag enraged by this and earlier atrocities attacked the deamon prince in a berserk rage, pummeling Yall'eth into submission with his bare hands. The great struggle finally ended when Gothrag managed to get on the back of Yall'eth and with a all his strength managed to tear off one of yall'eths wings before useing the still bleeding end to beat the daemon prince into unconsciousness, in the process covering himself in rivelets of the daemons corrosive blood. The defeat of Yall'eth didn't end there though, Gothrag with the aid of his Butchers forged mighty chains with which to bind the now enslaved Yall'eth in servitude, much like other tyrants keep Giants. Gothrag is now on a mission to humiliate  the arrogant Yall'eth completely, marching through the wastes to the empire where he plans to show off the captured daemon in front of thousands of humans. In an effort to completely humiliate the once proud daemon he sends runners ahead too every settlement on the way using the torn off wing as a banner to announce the approaching arrival of Yall'eth the prisoner.

Tribe Name: The Chartooth Tribe

Tribe Symbol: A flame being eaten by four fangs

Tyrant Name: Mera Chartooth

Brief History: The Boneshadow Tribe was once a very successful mercenary tribe along the Silk Road, and their tyrant - Gur Metalpuke - was fond of holding large feasts at the end of each summer to celebrate his tribe's continued success.  Unfortunately, the sheer volume of roasting food and raw meat attracted the attention of a fire drake, which fell upon the celebrating ogres like a flaming comet from the sky.  Gur was roasted alive by its flaming breath, as were many of the other ogres who were too confused by the drakes' sudden appearance to mount an effective defense.

Were it not for the quick thinking of Gur's mate, Mera, the tribe would have completely disappeared down the gullets of the fearsome beasts.  Snatching up the tribe's battle standard, the ogre woman charged towards the monster and rammed the full length of the iron pole down the beast's throat as it prepared to exhale another searing blast of fire.  Once the beast had finished its death throes, Mera had come to the conclusion that too many ogres had died to continue their current way of life.  Few were willing to argue with Mera when she declared herself Tyrant, and those that did joined the fire drake in death.

Renaming the tribe the Chartooth, Mera - now sporting a cloak fashioned from the fire drake that had ushered in her new life - led those ogres who would follow her westward, through the mountain passes and into the lands of the thinlings.
Tribe Name: The Boiling Blood Tribe

Tribe Symbol: Just the great Maw symbol.

Tyrant Name: Borgus Manchewer

Brief History: The Boiling Blood Tribe was founded when Borgues broke off from his original tribe after being enraged and killing his original tribe's bruiser out of rage after the bruiser denied Borgus of any loot from a raid. Because this was not in a bare gutted fight, he decided to leave his tribe since the tyrant would have made sure he met his death. He left right there and took allot of bulls with him. They started raiding caravans and villages and quickly became known for their unusuall rage, even for an ogre. This gave them the name of the Boiling Blood Tribe.
Tribe Name: The Myaghan of the Bloodskull Heights

Tribe Symbol: Their banner is the great Cannibal totem, but their tribe's holiest item is the skull of the former tyrant, which is always given a fresh coating of blood before feasting.

Tyrant Name: Gongoro Deathcheater the Corpulent

Brief History:  When the Tyrant of the Bloodskulls was presented with twins, he threw both down the mountain in a superstitious fit.  One survived among the people of the Eastern Steppes, then Cathay, and finally Nippon, where he took the name of Gongoro.  He returned to overthrow his father and lead the tribe into mercenary life.  The name Myaghan comes from the steppe name for an army of 10,000 men.  As Gongoro puts it, "We are worth any 10,000 men."

Brute defeated the LM Saurus general and ate the Saurus' "dragon" mount. He helped the expedtion make it back to the Empire, and began to form his own company of Ogre Mercs with the slogan, "Never work for a paymaster who can easily be eaten!" The death bringers.
basicly these orgres belive that if they are worthy when they die ( die in fighting or some similar way) they go to the great maw and become one of its many teeth. this is why many bulls carry teeth around with them as lucky charms. but with more stories from the maneaters the orgres are starting to asociate Death (the person, thing or whatever) as a messenger of the great maw and that when you die if you see him/it you are worthy and will go to the great maw. as a result many of the ironguts and the tryrant now carry scythe talismens as tokens of his favour as well, (some orgres have even gone as far as to dress like him). the tryant Fragor the white is such a devote orgre that inbattle over his armour he wears a black magical cloak/robe, paints his face and body skull white and carrys a scythe into battle. (i have no idear if the idear of death as a creature is ever mentioned in the warhammer world but i think it is a nice idear) all comments are apreciated. thx
have you read " the deda rise once more" I wrote it and i WOULD APPRECIATE all comments. THX
Mine are gonna be named "The Great Maw's Jaws". here's the fluf so far:

The butcher lifted his cleaver once more. He slamed it down through the neck of the dad creature, the crunch echoed through the cave. Lightning flashed, lighting the cave. Out of the corner of the butchers eye, he saw a huge figure at the mouth of the cave. He turned around but it was gone. He resumed his work. He tossed the meat into his bloody cauldron. Again lightning flashed and again he saw a figure. It was closer this time.
"Oi! Dis 'ere his me work. How else you fink we's gonna communicate wiff der Great Maw?" the butcher shouted.
"Like dis," replied the figure. It lumbered closer and closer to the butcher. The butcher stepped back and grabbed for one of his tools. He fumbled round but found nothing. The figure grew ever closer. The butcher stepped back further. he tripped and fell into his own cualdron of meat. The blood red water scaled his his skin. He thrashed and fought to get out but slipped every time. After a few minutes the body of the butcher floated, motionless, atop of the water. The figure walked up to the cualdron and gorged himself on the body of the butcher. This figure grew substationally in a matter of hours. His skin turned red and his muscles bulged. He climbed down to his own tribe and lauded this over the others. The tyrant saw this and bellowed his challenge.
"There can only be one big guy round 'ere."
"Right den, to da pitt!"

Needless to say he won. From then on he was known as "Maw's Jaw" and the tribe was named after him... hope you like it (:
Tribe Name: Stormeater Tribe

Tribe Symbol: Lightning warpaint on gut-plates and banners

Tyrant Name: Torgrot Tyrantkiller the Honorable

Background: Torgrot, as a Bull, failed his rite of passage- to stand on the most windswept and dangerous of the Mountains of Mourn and brave the constant lightning which is, to a being as dim as an Ogre, terrifying. In shame, he ran from the tribe, and took up the trade of a mercenary for the Grand Caravans. During an escort, he was offered lavish payment by a spy in the convoy to turn on it and aid an attacking Ogre tribe. Torgrot refused, ate the traitor, warned the Caravan, and was able to help prevent its destruction. For his actions, he was given the title of 'Torgrot the Honorable' by his paymaster. Torgrot's reputation as a trustworthy mercenary grew with each caravan that rumbled safely into Cathay, and reminded of his previous failure, he refused to ever retreat in battle. After thirty years, Torgrot decided to return to the Stormeaters. On a rainy, thunderous night, Torgrot entered the camp of the Stormeaters alone. He strode directly to the feast hall and killed the Tyrant in single combat. Torgrot severed the head and impaled it on an iron spike outside in the center of the camp, proclaiming himself Tyrant. This deed, coupled with the omen of the stormy sky, was enough to win his acceptance into the tribe as its leader. He took the honorific Tyrantkiller as his rite of passage, and led the Stormeaters on to become a dangerous and respected mercenary tribe. To this day, Torgrot refuses to ever turn his back to a foe, and woe betide any Stormeater that might, in fear, sully his reputation.
Tribe Name: Irontooth Tribe

Tribe Symbol: A rose with stem, with the rose head replaced by a maw symbol in black and greys

Tyrant Name: Belchfist 'One-eye' Beastkiller the Indefatuigable

Background: Having finally risen to the rank of Irongut in Ghark Ironskin's Ironskin tribe, Belchfist was still not accepted by his peers. Every single other member of the Ironguts in the tribe were Gharks family, and Belchfist had eaten Ghark's Great grandson to obtain the position himself. This led to immense hatred and respect for Belchfist from all the other Ironguts and Ghark himself. With his own level of respect for Ghark immense, and with no wish to challenge for the Tyrant's position in a tribe that refused to value money more than pacts with evil small 'uns - Belchfist roamed the Old World as a Maneater travelling far and wide wherever his services were needed.
Eventually, when being given orders bored him, he returned to the Mountains of Mourn and found that one of Ghark's sons - Meltfoot Irontooth had left the Ironskin tribe and created a new tribe of his own in the neighbouring lands. He had named the tribe after himself in vanity, and a small section of his relatives had followed him to become a respected ribe in themselves that could stand their ground against Ghark's attacks as long as Meltfoot occasionally paid Ghark in precious iron to keep him at bay.
Belchfist, discovering this new tribe, saw only an opportunity to gain a position of power for himself. He joined the tribe as a returning Maneater, and eventually challenged Meltfoot's position. The battle lasted three days and was an arduous affair, with meltfoot taking Belchfist's eye on day two, and he returning the favour on early day three. Belchfist eventually won the fight through stamina alone, as Meltfoot collapsed from tiredness and hunger, and Belchfist ate him alive. Those humans in carvans he was protecting to whom he told the tale called him indefatuigable for it, and liking the sound of it added it to his name. He and his tribe now aspire to grow to the size and power of Ghark's tribe, and to assimilate them into the Irontooth tribe eventually.

im only a new player and im just beginning to figure out what my tribe will be made of, so hear it goes.

Tyrant: Hiroki Rulfung Master of Slavers

Tribe: The Slavers tribe (known to some seasoned caravn trades as "The Snatchers")

The Slave Snatchers originally came from the tribe of Greasus Goldtooth. They originated from a small faction of bulls who Greasus often sent in on the flanks of his force, they were tasked with capturing (and preferably not eating) if not all than most of the man things, elf things, dwarf things or green things that they encountered. After many years of being told to do this they eventually became to be known as "The Slavers". They provided Greasus with yet another form of income which he prized greatly (as slaves can be sold for quite the hefty price if put in the hands of an appropriate ogre). This had earnt them great respect in the tribe and they begun to gather some followers. However when The Slavers began to sell some of the slaves for their own profit Greasus ordered their former gutlord Bruku Ironlegs (named notibly for his ability to walk for days without needing to stop) be killed. This angered the other members of The Slavers so much that they swore they would never capture another slave for Greasus. As such they and those who were associated with them were banished to roam the mountains of Mourn. The group eventually found a small valley which had no signs of any other tribes having been there before. They settled there and established their own small tribe. However one small problem remained, the fact that there was no tyrant. That is when Hiroki Rulfung who was second in command to Bruku Ironlegs during his time in The Slavers said that he should be the tyrant. Only 3 ogres challanged his authority and they challanged him to single combat. Hiroki presented his axe and hammer (commonly known amounst The Slavers as "The Slave Taker" and "The Slave Breaker" both being made for him in carthay after taking the axe head off of a defeated chaos lord Hiroki had defeated and killed) and the other orges all presented their weapons of choice. Hiroki killed the first two of his challengers and restrained himself enough to simply mortally wound the last (who he then had shackled and sent away to the chaos dwarves for trade into slave labour). As such The Slavers tribe and their tyrant Hiroki Rulfung Master of Slavers came to be.

After the coming of the great maw one tribe of ogres journeyed south along the world's edge mountains until they reached the steaming jungles of the Southlands home to the Lizardmen and titanic jungle dragons. The Ogre's settled in a cluster of abandoned temples dedicated to the insatiable snake god Sotek at the base of the volcano chain known as The Smoking Cavern's of Sotek. In these temple cities were were dozens of sacred arenas dedicated to quenching the blood thirst of Sotek through ceremonial pit-fighting. This tribe of Ogres still reeling from the destruction of their homelands saw glyphs of a Serpent God whose lust for fresh blood new no bounds and started holding their own pit fights in honor of their blood god.

So important is pit fighting to this tribe that all young bulls at the age of adolescence are given a pair of golden ironfists and were forbidden to pick up a club or blade until they spill the blood of ten maw cauldrons in sacred pit fights. As the bulls spill more cauldrons of blood they are allowed more armor and heavy weapons, though many bulls prefer to use only their iron fists for the entirety of their lives.

Certain bulls who have a particular aptitude for pulverizing the reptilian fauna into submission may be chosen by the tribe's master hunter and taught the secrets of killing, catching, and subduing the jungle dragons of the southlands, and the locations of the tunnels which lead to the Dragon Isles. The hunters are held in especially high esteem because if it wasn't for the catching of jungle dragons for sacrifice in the pits, who knows what terrible fate the great Maw-Snake would curse them with.

Rarely an aspiring hunter with a particular fortitude for subduing dragons will, after beating one into submission attempt to mount it. This extremely dangerous feat will usually end with the hunter as dinner. occasionally though, the dragon will bend to the hunter's will and the hunter will become a dragon rider and will attain almost a godlike status in the tribe.

The younger Slann of the southlands are not antagonistic towards the ogres living in their realm due to the fact that they keep to themselves and provide a great wall against explorers traveling down the spine of the mountains. Also the fact that they basically worship Sotek helps.
Da RotMaw Ogres

The Rotmaws are a fairly unkown tribe of ogres. They are more curious than other Ogres, and love eating the strangest of things, which leads to them having a rotten greenish skin colour. Their weaponry and metallics are all so coroded, they almost fall to pieces when the ogres wield them. This makes them easy prey (or as easy as ogres whith broken weapons are) so to gain more power, the tyrant often fights alongside Skrag the slaughterer.

Thats what ive come up with so far.

Eat Then All!!!!
The Gianteaters are a new menace to face in the already hostile wastelands of the North.  Having broken off from Ghuth Spawnchomper's tribe one of his former bruisers, Orgrim Ironhead, and his followers marched across the Breadth of the Chaos Wastes and found a new lair in a series of low mountains.
After many battles to secure his position as Tyrant, Orgrim began to lead raids on the nearby tribes of marauders.  Sworn to the service of Khorne, these hardy northmen proved to be vicious foes and many of the new tribe's bulls were slain.  Orgrim raged at his followers as cowards and "tiny-gutted sons of Gnoblar!"  Orgrim went into the highest peaks to formulate a plan that involved a little more than charging headlong into the swarm of Northmen.  It was here that he found his deliverance.
A mighty giant, tainted by its time amongst chaos' influence, had made its home here.  Upon returning to its lair it spied Orgrim and bellowed out a challenge.  Orgrim and the titan struggled for many hours but eventually the tyrant proved to be stronger and toppled the massive beast.  With his magical warhammer "Mountainbreaker" poised to strike the killing blow he instead headbutted the giant into unconsciousness.
When the bruised and battered giant awoke he was in chains.  The giant, called Korm by the warband it had so recently slaughtered, was dragged back to the Ironhead tribe by the victorious Tyrant.  Upon seeing this mighty foe so humbled the Ogres feasted heartily and had many games of skill.  The next week, when most of the hangovers had ceased, the newly named Giantbreaker tribe marched upon the largest settlement of Kirungard.  With Orgrim and his bodyguard of Iron Guts backed up by the enraged Korm attacking the gates, they fell within moments.
Though the northmen didn't waver against the tide of muscle and iron that rose against them they shattered upon them as a wave upon a cliff.  Seeing the immense potential of these Giants, Orgrim dedicated himself and his two most trusted sons Durek Ironbiter and Groth Bloodmaw to the task of capturing more.  Over the next few months Orgrim and his tribe captured three more of the brutes, losing many of the tribe's bulls in the process.
In this time, between giant hunts they were forced to contend with the warband of Uldrak the Dominator, a mighty chaos champion who had used the settlements around Kirungard as a recruitment center.  The outriders of the chaos host were detected by the tribe's hunter and slain in a cunning ambush, using his sabretusks to run down any who sought to flee.  Having had no word from his scouts Uldrak formed up his most fearsome warriors and knights and marched headlong into the valley pass leading up to the Ogre's caves.
Seeing the opportunity for a good fight, and a good meal of manflesh Orgrim assembled the might of his tribe and careened down the valley to meet them head on.  Club and hammer smashed armor and bones while axe and sword cleaved ogre heads from necks.  The battle raged for the better part of a day until the fateful moment where Orgrim met Uldrak face to face.  These two titanic warriors charged, speed and skill against brute power and reach.  At first Uldrak had every advantage and his sword cut many deep lines across Orgrim's back, arms and chest.
Orgrim knew that each moment favored the chaos champion and had to end the battle quickly.  In a gambit he threw his weapon at Uldrak in apparent desperation.  The chaos warrior laughed as he easily sidestepped the thrown hammer but that laugh choked away as he realized the Tyrant's full intent.  Orgrim threw everything he had in one all-out rush which smashed his corpulent bulk into the chaos lord, dazing him and denting his armor.  With a roar Orgrim tore Uldrak's head from his shoulders with his bare hands and held it up defiantly to the now-reeling chaos host.
Rallying behind him his Ironguts and troupe of three giants rushed into the milling chaos warriors.  The resultant charge resounded off the cliffs like thunder ending with an almighty crash of muscle and bulk smashing into hell-forged armor.  The resulting route left thousands of marauders, warriors and chaos knights dead and the power of the dominator broken forever.  It was a mighty day for the tribe and though sorely wounded they all feasted long into the night.
It was now that the humiliated giant Korm sought to get his revenge.  Having long pulled and strained at his chains he felt them weakening.  Once Orgrim was drunk, full and resting his wounded body Korm broke his chains with a deafening roar and charged through the ogre host.  Most of the ogres got out of his way and those who sought to defend their lord were swatted aside like insects.  Only Orgrim seemed unfazed.  He almost lazily stretched his arms and picked up the mighty "Mountainbreaker".
As Korm neared he sidestepped and smashed the enchanted maul into the giant's knees with rock-shattering force.  As the crippled giant crashed to the cavern floor a hush settled over the assembled ogres.  Leaping onto Korm's back, Orgrim raised his mighty hammer high above the injured giant's head.  With a sneer he barked "Dis is whut happens when yous try to break free!"  With one final bellow of rage the tyrant crushed the rogue giant's head like an over-ripe melon.
Then, before the other giants and his tribe both, Orgrim ate the remains of Korm.  Since then, he and his tribe have been called the Gianteaters.  Having been impressed by the quality of the armor of the chaos host, the Gianteaters have begun hording all the iron and other metal they can find, loot or scavenge.  Going into war bedecked in iron armor and wielding great weapons the Gianteaters field a much higher number of Iron Guts than most tribes.  That, backed by their giant-hunting prowess has made them much feared.
Tiring of the taste of chaos-tainted flesh the Gianteaters have begun to travel south, raiding, pillaging and selling themselves as mercenaries along the way.  Orgrim and his tribe have become a scourge to the northernmost Empire and have been seen as far south as Athel Loren.  Wherever the fight is, Orgrim will go.  Leading his ironclad ogres and giant menagerie to glory, riches and battles beyond their wildest dreams.
Tribe Name: The Tribe of the Undivided Gut

Tribe Symbol: 8 point chaos star inside Great Maw symbol

Tyrant Name: Tyrant Gorelust

Brief Tribe Background Info: Having lived along the foot hills of the Mountains that connect to the Chaos Wastes for many centuries, the ogres of the Undivided Gut got curious after the first decade as to what some of the local creatures tasted like. Upon their main Hunter and his Gnoblar Trapper followers capturing a couple of Nurglings, the Tyrant at the time declared them "tasty like pond scum used to flavor soup". This having be declared, other Hunters and Trappers begin to return with other monsters of the Wastes, such as Fiends, Claws from Daemonetters that had been severed from them, more Nurglings, and even Flamers. Due to the proximity of the Wastes, these Daemons did not return to the Warp upon death. Instead, the Warp sustained them even in death, till consumed by the Ogres. Over time, this caused mutations in the ogres along the lines of the Chaos Gods, based upon which creatures were most consumed by that Ogre.
Tribe name: Gutbustas

Tribe Symbol: a Exploding gut plate topped by a Devouring Maw

Tyrant name: Feastgut the demon killer

Fluffyness:  Tribe is located in the southwestern portion of the mountains of mourn. It's name came from the first tyrant (Whose name has been lost) who once after slaughtering a column of Chaos warriors, Single-handedly ate 12 Chosen knights, Steeds and all and afterwards exploded.

Current Tyrant recived his name after killing a Demon who had possed the tribes then tyrant Hardgut the gorger, The Demon possed him after he had eaten the flesh of a possed khorn champion. Feastgut killed him in a duel that lasted for three hours in the tribes cave tunnels. Feastgut was horribly scarred in the encounter but was victorious, He laid claim to the Throne and there were no challengers. His scarred face has frightened many enemies into submission before a battle but he ignores their pleas and kills them anyway. :x

Every sixth full moon the tribe has a feast in honor of the Great Maw where it is customery to have a dozen(live) elves for roasting. The task of accuiring the elves falls to the newest bulls to have reached fighting age, A sort of coming of age rite that is a unique feature to this tribe.

Tribe Name: The Genghis Confederation.
Tribe Symbol (image or description): A mountain within a Maw, symbolising both the mountain homes of the tribes and the over-arching significance of the Maw.
Tyrant Name: Great Khan Barbarrossa, Daemon bane, slayer of champions etc
Tribe Background Info: The Genghis Confederation is a collection of refugees and partisans of the war's against Chaos. The Ogres within the Confederation hail from a number of different tribes, with their own traditions and customs. What unites them all however, is their hatred of Chaos, their faith in the Maw and their loyalty to the Great Khan.

Barbarrossa himself is an experienced, devout and implacable Ogre Tyrant. Tireless in his efforts to defeat the old enemy, he leads expeditions into the lands of Chaos worshipping Ogres, Orcs and Dwarfs, laying waste to settlements and warriors alike with the same brutal efficiency. In such battles the enemy's warlord or champion is sought ought by Barbarrossa and on each occasion, is turned into a ruinous pulp, the physical remains taken as a trophy, the legend enshrined in a new 'big name'.

The armies of the Confederation are loaded with Bulls, swift Rhinox riders and heavily armed and armoured Ironguts; a result of the Confederation's refugee and partisan legacy. A favoured tactic is the use of terrain to force the foe into a narrow defile, which is then subjected to an all out assault from multiple angles, preceded by volleys of fire from leadbelcher detachments.

Recent developments have put the Confederation in contact with the civilised peoples to the west. Through the lending of aid to the great trade caravans that pass through the dark lands, healthy relations have been cultivated with the Dwarves and men of the Empire. On a number of occasions they have fought together, and after each battle, the Confederation is richly rewarded for their support; its Ogres going on to sport finely crafted Imperial blades and mithril enamled gut plates.

Tribe: Da Blunts
Icon: Elf ear with tip cut off or beastmen skull with horns removed
Tyrant: Grum da blunta
Background: The story of Da Blunts is a classic example of ogre stupidity and anger, beginning with Grum previously titled the thick 'ead. Grum had lost an eye to a broken beer bottle had his favorite gut plate pierced by a elven repeater bolt and had his favorite pair of pants ruined by a panicky gnoblar with a stabby stick giving Grum  a hatred of all things pointy and stabby. It was during a battle against the beastmen in the nearby woods that defined his future after having his tyrant beheaded by a particularly powerful beastlord and having lost his hands to a centigors horns and spear he went into a frenzy headbutting everything within heads reach to death. When the battle was done Grum aproached the fallen centigor and bit into its head digging in till his teeth pierced its skull and ripped it out then moving over to the beastlord and doing the same he then called over Queeks his trusted gnoblar servant and had him wrap the the skulls with rope to his hands. He returned to his tribes riverside cave and found that a wood elf forced had trapped the surviving ogres in the cave, Grum went into a frenzy not because of the entrapment of his kin but the ears on the elves with a blood curdling roar he started a massacre bashing in skulls with his new  fista
skulls this mere display of savagery gave him undisputed rule of the remaining ogres. Deeming themselves Da Blunts they began a war against the elves and beast men not for dominace not for loot or land just cause they had pointy 'eads.

Sorry this was so long bit of a fluff fan here :P

Ill probably make a gnoblog  sometime in the future for this  tribe and a few other armies i have some ideas for.  8)

TRIBE: maw's besties
TYRANT: ye olde boss
BACKGROUND STORIE: the maw's besties tribes begins not so long ago in a valley deep within the ogre kingdoms, with a not so wealthy tribe named da povs who's tyrant sat on a throne of dirt and snow and fed on nothing but rats and mice that dared pass through the valley, anonomous of the hungry bastards that dwelled within.
one day a bunch of bulls were having their hourly punch up over who gets to eat the rats head, when all of a sudden, a large burning rock came plumetting of the mountain side (which had really come from a wealthier tribe above over a fight which caused a boulder to catch fire and tumble over the cliff) and landed next to a bull mid swing and set him alight. after running around in pain he then put it out with some scarce snow that he found. the rest of the tribe couldn't believe what had just happened and they thought the burning rock was from their god maw. so the tribe including the tyrant began to worship the unfortunate bull who's skin had desintegrated and called ye olde boss.
from this event the tribe semmed to become alot more confident in themselves anf raided other tribes and became alot wealthier than they were and finally called themselves maw's besties.
TRIBE: Da Gnoblar Gobblers
TYRANT: Brutzgub Gutsmasher
ICON: Either the outline of a sabertusk, or a gnoblar in a sabertusks mouth
BACKGROUND: Origninally called the Saber Trainers, this tribe made their homes among the very peaks of the sky mountains. The weather was harsh, and prey scarce, so the tribe set up home within their mountain. Constantly blustered by the blinding snow, these ogres trained sabertusks to lead them through the snow, and to help the track prey. Despite this, food was still scarse. The day of the Great Maw, the tribes butcher had predicted the event. The ogres brought their sabretusks ino the cavern, huddling together, hoping that the great maw would not claim them. They were not so lucky, and when the comet struck, it shook the very foundations of their mountain home. Tons of rock and ice tumbled into the entrance, crushing several bulls unlucky enough to have been there at the time. Weeks passed, and the tribes supplies began to run low. Constant squabbles broke out as both sabertusks, ogres and gnoblars alike attempted to stay alive. Finally, after a month, the ogres and their beasts turned, devouring the squeling gnoblars. With renewed strength, the tribes tyrant, Brutzgub Gutsmasher managed to smash aside the rubble wi th his legenday weapon "Thingsmacka", alowing his joyous boys to escape. To this day, the gnoblargobblers still make their home among the peaks of the mountain. They are renowned among other ogres for their "sneaky" (by ogre standards) raids.

Tribe Name: The Gem Seekers
Tribe Symbol: Anything shiney
Tyrant Name: Skig Cart-Crusher
Tribe Background: The Gem Seekers are not like other ogre tribes. It is not that they don't share the love of eating and killing the other tribes have, it's just that they have a Gnoblar like fondness for all things shiny. This unusual quality dates back to the founder of the tribe, Gem-Eye the Tyrant. Ogre legend has it that Gem-Eye was visited in a dream by the great maw and told to gather gems. No ogre has ever stopped to consider the fact that gems would be of no use to a god of hunger and so the legend lives on, however there is another less flawed legend. The Gnoblar's of the tribe whisper that Gem-Eye was not an ogre at all, but in fact a Gnoblar that happened upon a powerful magic staff and used it to take over the body of the first ogre he saw, as luck would have it this ogre was very large and so a tyrant was born. The Gnoblars cunning combined with the ogre's brute strength made a powerful combination and soon Gem-Eye was Tyrant of a sizable tribe. Of course the ogre's of the tribe have no time for such nonsense, and many a Gnoblar has been eaten for mentioning this alternative legend. Whatever the truth about Gem-Eye is though, the fact remains that his tribe has inherited his love of anything with a reflective surface on it somewhere. As a result their armor is shiny and well maintained, there belts are adorned with stolen jewelry, and the Gnoblars of the tribe, being deprived of the shiny things they crave, are far from happy. Although this is nto always true, some Gnoblars are very happy indeed, for there is an old tradition amongst the gem seekers that if one's Gnoblar is better dressed than another Ogre in the tribe then that Ogre is a Gnoblar as far as you are concerned and may be treated accordingly. It is worth noting here that Skig Cart-Crusher considers his pet Giant to be a Gnoblar (his logic being that Gnoblars are weaker than Ogres and so are Giants so giants must be Gnoblars) and since it is dressed almost as well as he is he may treat all the ogres in the tribe like Gnoblars.

Skig's tribe live by raiding caravans, they have been known to accept work as caravan guards as well, however they always turn on there employers within a few days.
Tribe Name: Rust Lords
Tribe Symbol: A great rusty gutplate
Tyrant Name: Mad Mazgog
Tribe Background: The Rust Lords live high in the mountains of Mourn at the mouth of a vast salt mine.  The salt, snow, and otherwise corrosive nature of the air in the mountains of mourn lead the tribes metal gear to rust at an advanced rate.  The ogres saw this not as a hindrance, but rather a blessing of the Great Maw itself as even strong steel and iron was eaten away by the maw's presence.   They take great pride in their rusted weapons and armor especially because of the jaw locking sickness that the thinlings caught when struck but not killed by such weapons.  They believed this was a curse bestowed on the thinlings by the maw who were doomed to not be able to eat their food. (a great curse indeed in the mind of an ogre)  Mad Mazgog, the current rust overlord, is a great brute decked out in all manner of rusted regalia (high fashion in Rust Lord culture)  Needless to say, in Rust Lord society your importance is directly related to how much rusting metal you wear on your person, the main reason for the high number of Iron Guts.

The reason Mad Mazgog is MAD Mazgog and not Mellow Mazgog or Mild Mazgog is because he has a fondness for bizarre pets, giants in particular.  Upon seeing his favorite giant, Mr. Mittens, be killed by a high elf star dragon, Mad Mazgog flew into a blinding rage slaughtering the dragon and mounted its skull on top of his bodyguard unit's banner.  He was inconsolable for weeks afterward.
Tribe Name: Maw Prophets
Tyrant Name: Tariq ibn Ziyad

Tribe fluff: Situated on the Ivory Road near the Baleful Deserts, Tariq, his Butchers, Brothers and his band of Ogre's split from the Lazarghs after Tariq had a vision from the Maw about the needed sacrifice of his village. Going to his father and Tyrant Gluth Onefinger II and telling him of what the Maw had demanded, Tariq had seen in his father's eyes, not only discontent, but also unbelief in his visions brought on by the great feast. In a rage unknown to Tariq, his hands were ripped from their joints, his eyes gouged from their sockets, and his teeth pulled from his skull and thrown into his Maw-pot. Forced to eat his own concoction of meat and other stew, Tariq was forced into a bloodlust. First with his father, consuming his brain first, then his eyes, followed by the rest of him, Tariq moved onto his command staff. Rousing up his  Butchers and Brothers loyal to him, they finished off the tribe, bringing to fruition the Prophecy that the Maw had brought to Tariq.

Tribe Background Info-The Icecruncher Tribe live in the highest peaks of the Mountains of Mourn. It is freezing cold all of the time and so the Icecrunchers skin is not the usual ogre skin colour but it is light blue. However, the Icecruncher Tribe is growing in number quickly and they will soon become one of the biggest tribes in the Ogre Kingdoms.
Tribe Name: The Tribe of the Flayed Fist.

Tribe Symbol: A clenched fist dripping blood, pink on black.

Tyrant Name: Bragnar Two-Grins.

Tribe Background Info: The tribe of the Flayed Fist are a medium-sized ogre clan who make their home in a well-hidden cavern complex, often leaving for raids. They have developed a reputation as reclusive, which is mostly because A) they don't like the sound of this Greasus Goldtooth chap's new vision for the Ogre Kingdoms, and B) they're in no hurry to tell him that to his face. The real power in the tribe is held by the coven of Butchers, leading to a population very well fed and very devout bulls.

Tyrants come and go, some more quickly than others, and the current incumbent figurehead is Bragnar Two-Grins, an ogre of uncommon cunning and unparallelled cruelty who spends almost all of his time off raiding. What little time he does spend in the tribe's subterranean hold is divided between tearing the skin from the backs of unruly bulls and trying to make sure the Butchers continue to underestimate him.

Tribe Name: The Maw Chasers

Tribe Symbol: The Maw symbol, only the points of the maw are pointing out, not in.

Tribe Tyrant: Hurgbig, Chooser of the Maw

Background: The maw chasers are considered pariahs at best and heretics at worst by the other ogre tribes.  They believe that when the maw first came to the planet, it rippled out underneath the earth, expunging other maws all over the world.  That is their goal, to find other Maws and show the other tribes the error of their ways.  Many of the tribe are maneaters, spread out across the world to chase after elusive maws.  Many go into the Chaos Wastes, believing that there, somewhere deep in the wastes, rests an even greater Maw, waiting to be unearthed.  Only Hurgbig, the Tyrant of the tribe, has actually found another Maw, though he refuses to reveal the exact location of the Maw.  Every few years he will choose one of the tribes young bulls and points out, always to the east, telling them to go and travel to the East, to find the greater Maw.  So far none have returned from their voyage, but should one return, he would be one of such strength that he would naturally be a threat to Hurgbig's leadership of the tribe.

Tribe name: Ice Gutts

Tribe symbol: a high ice mountain

Tribe Tyrant: Ogg, The Invader

Backround:

The Ice Guts originate from the great mountains. Few know where their camps are in the cloudy mountains and the was almost unknown to other ogre tribes until lately. A wast amount started to migrate towards the old world and settle in their mountains. The reasons are unknown but the agents of the empire who investegated this rush of Ice ogres think its due to overpopulation.
The Ice Gutts build strong ramparts of ice as hard as the strongest walls in The Empire of man. They rarely leave thier holds if not they are to plunder those unlucky to live close to the mountains.
As the era of Ogg began they migration even grew higher then ever. Entire villages dissaperad near the oncoming hoard. Not even the buildings were left. Just scorched ground and no signs of life. ( exept straggling gnoblars. ) The Ice Gut ate the population and bring with them the buildings of the village to build thier own great Stronghold. The Ice Guts are fast and ruthless. The only thing spoiling an oncimong scourge is a distant sound of the great horn wich calls the Yetis. This is often dismissed as the Ice Guts are only a gibberish for the Village people.

What is that?
Is it just me or did i hear the sound of a horn from the mountains?
Guys to paint: 30 tomb kings, 48 Ogres and of course the 110 skaven.......

What is that? Did you just hear a horn or was it just me?

They fled from their pursuers into the high valleys and disappeared... Tales told in the small dark hours in taverns across the old world are all that is known. The Lost Angryfists are said to have raided numerous caravans from the Bugmanns Brewery, had dealings with Lord Ulha'Up the questing Slann mage, invented a game involving cats and rhinoxen....many dismiss the tales as musings of drunkards, maybe so... but there is a growing trend of disappearing cats.....

Tyrant - Varg The Undying

Background info -     Varg was considered an abnormal, red-skinned abomination by his father, Kalmah Skullcracker. Tossed into the dark abyss Varg was thrown down into the Gorger tunnels and labelled as an unwanted demon. Through exceptional stealth Varg was able to prolonge his existence in the grotesque Gorger underworld. With every blink of an eye came the thought of revenge. Eventually this ideology drove the poor ogre mad, mad to the extent that he became desperate to flee from the darkness and echoes of death. In smashing his way through rigid rock and stone he was able to force his way to the outer world through insanity-based feats of strength.
After releasing himself into the world by a misty mountainside Varg began his long decent to ground level, wondering aimlessly through hot stone and potential death. Led by the thirst of revenge Varg stumbled across a savage group of Ogres. The groups Tyrant caught sight of the mangled, perplexed figure. The Tyrant's idea to make a complete mockery of him before feeding him to the rest of the tribe did not go unnoticed by Varg, the near mutated and puzzled ogre. As he noticed the tyrant coming at him from behind appeared to underestimate Varg. In slamming the defenseless ogre to the ground Varg appeared to be blessed by the Great Maw as his teeth peaked into sharpened daggers and his eyes warped into a sign of frenzy. In quickly getting up and grabbing the tyrant by his gutplate, Varg went into a full frenzy as he ripped the gutplate from the tyrants worn out skin. He then threw himself forward and gnawed at the tyrants mangled chest as the tyrant lay silently in a thunderstruck manner. Varg's instant frenzy for blood and revenge did not go unnoticed by the spectating tribe. In marking him as the new tyrant to their tribe Varg took up the name Varg The Undying.
Over the coming months Varg taught his fellow bretheran how to become frenzied and blooddrunk. This in turn led to a purely ferocious tribe of elitism and death. Thus sprouted the tribe of the Ogres Of Kremlok built to frenzy and destroy all who oppose. And so the tribe led by the ever so crazied Varg The Unying set off down the mountain and into the misty fumes of the Ogre network. Varg's intentions? Simply to take revenge on his father and lead his tribe of blood-hungry savages....

The Tribe now sails on the "El Espiritu del Maw" leaving a trail of broken ships and carcasses of giant sea creatures unfortunately enough to cross their path.
Towerveil is one of the tallest mountains in the kingdom, covered in cloud and seldom seen except for 1 day every Year. In the caverns of the mountain many gorgers live ready to kill those who are not lead by their ogre-kin up the mountain. Maneaters are not welcomed to the mountain, detectable because of their heraldry and human clothes of which reminds them of their ancestors decadent ways. The tribe only acts in the way of their ancestors once a year on the pilgrimage to the great maw, to show  repsect to them. Returning to what was once was, permanently is a betreyal to the Maw.
The Ogre Tribe of The Unseen Mountain are a isolated and xenophobic tribe, who very rarely travel down the mountain. Not much is known of their existence, excpet from descendants of the mountain who through the years have travelled down the mountain in search of adventure or those who have been exile. The Tribe was formed from many tribes from the kingdom, who seeked the height of the skies in search of worshop for sending their deity the Great Maw.  Although this is a isolated communinity it is a large community of around 100 ogres and a few gnoblars who followed when the ogres climbed the mountain.
Once a year on the day when the clouds have cleared the Ogres of the Unseen Mountain travel down the mountain for pilgrimage to the Great Maw in the deserts of Cathay.  On their pilgrimage, they are ready for war. In honor of their fallen ancestors to their enemies they ravage the spice roads of Cathay leaving nothing but bones in their wake. Some ogres follow as they make their way, unkown to the tribe, and unnoticed. As they kill and eat all in their way to the Great Maw the pilgrimage becomes more that of a crusade, killing all in the name of their deity. Painting their skin in blue and grey, representing the sky of which birthed their God, this swell of ogres (mostly bulls) race accross cathay, they care not for who gets in their way for they are eaten sacrifices of the Great Maw.

"Oooh, those vile skavens..how much of our gits killed by them. And the main, they are not interested in shiny things! What stupidity leads them to war in this case?! Well, we'll show them! Our honcho wears a cloak of skins of their chief not in vain!" (c) another unknown snotty nose.

Tribe Name: Da Iron Skullz
Tribe Symbol (image or description): A bone white skull with pieces of metal attached to the forehead and jaw
Tyrant Name: Razarath Ironjaw Skullsplitter
Tribe Background Info: Razarath was beaten in single combat by his father the first time he went for the title of tyrant, but instead of being eaten, his father put his Ironfist through Razarath's jaw, splitting it in two. He was then exiled from the tribe and after wandering past the mountains he succumbed to blood loss and passed out. He was awaken to a small "tribe" of gnoblars, who proceeded to wire he jaw together with a crude solid iron jaw in return for protection. When Razarath's jaw healed(fusing iself to the iron jaw) he then ate over half of the gnoblars and ordered the rest into his service. The gnoblars followed him into the barren wastes, while there Razarath encountered an army of Savage Orcs who took him and his gnobbo servants into their home. He practiced their art of war and belief that by taking the skulls of fallen foes transfers their powers onto you. When Razarath returned to his ogre tribe once again years later he challenged his father for the last time. As his father removed his armor and ironfist for single combat, Razarath grabbed the ironfist and ran it through his father's chest, splitting his sternum and piercing his heart. The Iron Skullz were then born, Razarath held firm in his belief that his ogres could gain power through the deaths of their enemies. All his orges are heavily armed and armored so they can take on the toughest of foes(usually champions of units, elite troops and generals. It is common for even ogre bulls to have a least one skull while ironguts and unit champions have small piles.

TRIBE NAME:The groin bashers tribe

Tyrant:Shongor groin basher

Symbol:A circle with crude eyeholes and a jagged bear trap like jaw with a fire thing at the back

Background:Shongor was and always will be a faithful servant of the maw.Believing in eating and fighting were the ways to honor the ogre diety. Until one day while beating the crap out of a great caravan's so called elite guards he is intercepted by Some ogres of the goldtooth tribe. Outraged he pummled the foolish enemy ogres with his bare hands, and ripping their "Happy Sacs" off from their "Happy Place" and snding them back to greasus as a sign of challenge. At
the time of gathering at the fire mouth Shongoe challenged greasus to a brutal pit fight. Outraged greasus sent his best ogres to intercept the aspiring tyrant, but shongor made it clear that he wanted to face GREASUS so he gave the hostile ogres a horrible lesson( YES a punch to he groin) And the ogres fell to the ground and writhed in pain. Then the brutal pit fight began. Shongor seizing the initiative attacked first and achived to pimp hand greasus. But greasus replied with a swing of a club which sent shongor crashing unto a spike in the pit. But it was'nt that easy to put down shongor so thanks to his leather like skin he managed to break the spike before it could impale him. Greasus never did learn to play fair so he tossed a drunken but violent gnoblar to shongor's face and shongor just stomped on the poor thing. But seizig the moment greasus tackled shongor and bit his gut. Greasus being so sure of victory took a moment to gloat an this but shongor used his most ferocious attack yet He BIT the overtyrant's leg and stomped on greasus' Groin. As shongor was about to clobber the damn out of Greasus a Loud bellow from an ogre signalled the eruption of the firemouth and all the ogres fled back to the saftey of their tribes' caves. Forcing greasus to ride on a palanquin Shongor felt good enough and he went back home to tell the tale of which his title was achieved!!!! (yes that is why Greasus rides a palanquin his groins just hurt a lot cause of the stomp Shongor delivered)
Clobber, bash, squish em groins!!! And turn their bones to bread!!! HUR HUR HUR!!!
Tribe Name: The Mountainfist Tribe
Tribe Symbol (image or description): A snow-capped mountain being punched by a large fist
Tyrant Name: Kolragg Mountainfist, Orcmasher, Dwarfchewer, Manbreaker and Lord of Thundermist Vale
Tribe Background Info:

The Mountainfists originally hailed in the western fringes of the mountains of mourn, waylaying caravans or causing "accidents" and helping the distressed merchants, for a fee, of course.
But due to Overtyrant Goldtooth's policies, as well as thinner trading in their neck of the mountains, the tribe migrated westward, herding hundreds of rhinoxen and various other beasts across the Darklands, paying off the Chaos Dwarfs for protection with the last of their loot.

After trekking across the world's edge mountains, they finally found their promised land: A valley perfectly suited to Rhinoxen, and containing abandoned dwarf stronghold. After clearing out the various goblins and skaven that were lurking in the depths of the fortress, the Ogres made it their home. Thus, the Mountainfist tribe became a permanent resident of the area, selling themselves as mercenaries and occasionally just causing havoc amongst the populations of men, dwarf and greenskin in the area.

Tribe Name: The Bloodmaw

Tribe Symbol: A red blood drop inside a red maw

Tyrant Name: Durang Bloodmaw

Tribe Background Info: The Bloodmaw have always had a close connection to the Great Maw, initially boasting the most Butchers produced within it's own ranks. So far, the Butchers and Slaughtermasters that have trained with the Bloodmaw are among the finest known to Ogrekind.

Tribe Name: The Spleehewer Tribe (So named by others, among their kind they are known as 'The G'hordui')

Tyrant Name: Garghus Throatwrencher ('Velan-Nah')

Tribe Symbol: The Eye Of Gernatha, A Symbol Of Yhetee's Make (To Be Posted Soon)

Looked upon with suspicion by other tribes, The Spleenhewer Tribe are predominantly spiritual, rather than outright brutal, in their ways. They have many dealings with the Yhetees, whom they have a close bond with, and spurn the Gorgers entirely, citing them as too carnal and dementedly savage to partake in their ways.

Their main distinction is that they devour all parts of their enemies, save for the spleen, or whatever equivalent organ there is for the more exotic races. These they commission the tribe Butchers to enchant, boil and crush, in a ritual of renewal, communion and empowerment after a battle. They live deep in the snow of the mountains.

This peculiarity among the normally thought-to-be dumb witted race has attracted the attention of many: followers, as well as enemies. Rumor has it that they do not praise the Maw at all, and have instead made their deity that of the Yhetees...The Celestial Frost Beast, Gernatha.

A secretive, though no less ogre-like, group of Shamanic, tattooed killing machines.
'Give Me Your Spleen.'
Tribe Name: The Everbruise Tribe a.k.a. The "Purple Nurple" Tribe

Tyrant Name: Khorag Giantlord Guteater

Tribe Symbol: The Symbol of the Maw encircling the Blooddrop on a background of deep purples and blacks.

Tribe Background: The Everbruise Tribe originated in a region just outside of Fire Mouth peak, north of the realms of Greasus Goldtooth. This tribe enjoys all the good things in life as other tribes do (eating, pillaging, eating, fighting, and more eating). However, their uniqueness comes not from what they do, but how they represent themselves. When a male ogre reaches the age of becoming a Bull, he must survive the ritual known only as "the Thump." The ogre must lay down on the ground in front of the slaughtermaster's cauldron, with his arms stretched out completely. Then, every bull in the tribe swings his club at full strength over the pup's chest region, eventually leading to the Tyrant himself having the last swing. If the ogre survives, he is welcomed as a true Bull. The reasoning behind this ritual is so that the ogre's body will focus on the most important parts, being the arms, legs, and of course the gut; to pound on the chest region should force the muscles and other strong bits to be pushed into the other regions, in order to make them even stronger. However, this ritual also leaves behind permanent bruising in the chest area, leading to the name of the Everbruise tribe (or, when being mocked, the "Purple Nurple" tribe, although this only happens once before the mocker is devoured).
Another uncommon feature of the tribe is the leadership; for the past several generations, it has stayed within the same clan, the Guteaters. No other clan has been able to best the Tyrant, and the passage of power only seems to happen when the son of the Tyrant can best him in combat (often with the help of 'Uncle' Grog a.k.a. Grogus Sticklifter Kineater Lazyeye Guteater the Deceiver, the battle standard bearer and also the great-uncle of the current Tyrant, who has personally ushered in each new Tyrant for the past five generations).

Tribe Name: The Frostmaw Clan

Tyrant Name: Warchief Aurgelmir

Tribe Symbol: The Great Maw with icicles hanging from the upper teeth.

Background:
The Frostmaws dwell amongst the shivering cold peaks of the North mountains. They are blue of skin, and have an increased intelligence and respect for life compared to their more savage kin. The Frostmaws have great elemental resistance to cold environments, allowing them to make their homes in the highest snow-topped peaks. Their wizards are shamanistic, not Butchers in the traditional sense, though they do often use animal parts in their magics. The Ogres of the Frostmaw clan have respect for each other and are considered to be great warriors. They often hire themselves out as mercenaries to the Empire, allowing their clan to continue to prosper in the harsh mountain peaks.

Tribe symbol:   Japanese ideograms for "poison" and "battle"

Tyrant name:   Dharyus ImpalaSauri (Italian for SaursImpaler)

Background info:    This ogre village is situated in a cave of the mountains of the Sky Titans, and the darkness made the members of this tribe whitish. The name of the tribe become from their habitude to impale their enemies' entrails just out of their tents. No one of the members is able to write or read, but from when they cohabited with the Cathai populations they know the ideograms for the words battle and poison, and they write them everywhere they arrive. Every time they have to fight, they organise a hunting to kill the biggest Rhynox they find, the Butcher opens a hole in it's belly, and after eating his hearth invites all the fighters to put a hole arm into the Rhynox corpse, to be filled with his power and strenght. Many ogres also paint their bodies and faces with blood. Butchers have a great power in the village, even more than the Tyrant himself. So when the ground trembles, the horrific horde erupt from every hole to have more blood for body paintings and more corpses for the Butchers' maleficent rites...

Tribe Name: The Leadguts Tribe

Tribe Symbol: They don't have so much of a true symbol for their tribe specifically but are distinctive from the bright coloured dyes the use and the pale tattoos every member recieves on their coming of age ceremony.

Tribe Tyrant: Mad Makka Mawfind the Manic

Tribe Info: After many years of travel the now tyrant Mad Makka wandered back to his tribe's humble vale. Then called the Mawgorge tribe on account of their curious Maw pit, his worldly experience and tales of exotic places soon had the tribe enchanted (not magically of course), and soon after that, as is the want of things with all maneaters, bored them rigid, except for one tale of blackpowder and its secrets.

He spoke of its devastating power, of its use in weapons and their effect, of leadbelchers and the constant need for new powder and how he'd learnt the secret. It wasn't long at all before he had the the tribes gnoblar population slaved to his new powder workshops. Trade with the skaven of clan Skyre (whom Makka had spent many years with) cemented his rise to power culminating with Makka, in a fit of mania tearing out a tooth from the mawpit before using it to club to death and eat the tyrant and his entire family. Tyranthood assured he renamed his tribe the Leadguts to reflect the massively increased number leadbelchers amoung them. They soon gained a reputation for "trigger-happy" raids and for sporting exceptionally bright dyes bought with the proceeds from the extensive mining network developed with the excess powder. The Leadbellies also do a roaring slavetrade, a neccessity to meet the demands of the powder shops (high accident rates) but Makka and his tribe all agree they are having the time of their lives.

Tribe Name: Tribe of Ymirdrak

Tribe Symbol (image or description): Thinking of something like a Dragons skull or something. Not really thinked about it yet. :/

Tyrant Name: Globbad Ymirdrak

Tribe Background Info:

As the name says, Ymirdrak is the ice wyrm who terrorizes the ogres near it's lair up in the northern range of the mountains of mourn. Many tribes and lonely fool hardy ogres have been eaten by this great frost wyrm.
Also as foolish as the others, two brothers, Globbad and Kern, went to hunt this great wyrm with their band of ogres, only a few dozen strong, a small tribe without a name. They wanted to slay this beast and get a name for them selves and be known in the world as great warriors.

All didn't go well, as they wanted them to go. As they reached the high ground where the great lair was, there were many ice statues, some gouged open and frozen blood all over them. Ogres, frozen and eaten afterwards. Globbad liked his fat lips and looked around in the clearing and then back to his brother.
"You sence 'thing?"asked Globbad looking towards Kern, who was the butcher of their tribe.
"No..I dont sence a 'Ing.."Answered Kern. They started to form groups and started to plan a trap for the great beast, 'cause it seemed it wasnt home. Oh..how wrong they were.
They didnt get much of a chance to react when six ogres turned into ice all of a sudden, when a light breeze came from the cave. Globbad startled and collected his courage quickly, but knew, that this battle was lost already when the great Ymirdrak rised from his cave and looked down on the ogres and squinted it's eyes as it looked towards the tyrant and butcher 'till it felt club hits on it's leg. Couple of ogres tried to wound it, but in vain. Ymirdrak just spat a little breeze on those poor ogres, freezing them.
Ten minutes, not any longer nor less, it took the Ymirdrak to freeze the pitiful ogres, but it didnt touch Kern or Globbad, who couldnt really do anything, 'cause they tought this was the only way, the great wyrm didnt notice them. They were so wrong.

After couple of days and nights, Globbad and Kern were the only ones who ascended back from the lair. Ogres that were left down here as look-outs, came to see these two in the hope of some wyrm meat and stories, but not even one piece of meat was with them, nor a story that would be told. Only looks had changed in these two. They looked like they would be frozen, but they weren't. Their eyes were special, iris blue as ice, mouth had ice sharp teeth in place of real teeth and their touch on the skin leaved a frozen mark on you. As of this day, they started the tribe Ymirdrak, protectors and worshippers of this great frost wyrm. Their tribe isnt large, nor do they leave the mountain top, for any other reasons but to hunt. Tho, they wait for their numbers to grow even stronger, so that they can go and wage war to get slaves and riches. Most of their food is delivered to the great frost wyrm, as an offering. They've started to keep the Ymirdrak an Avatar of the Maw, and thus protect it and feed it.
Every ogre in the tribe has to go up there and get the embrace of the Ymirdrak, or be eaten. In the coming of age, the ogre has to climb up and see if he is deemed strong enough for the embrace, if not, death awaits. Firebellies were forbidden 'till couple of years ago, when the Ymirdrak (in the mind of Kern the Butcher) gave a permission for one to join the tribe, but to stay away from the lair.

This is the story in 'short' and cut. :// My mind is kinda empty at the moment, havent written anything like this in years. But going to put a more detailed one in 'Maw-Pit Sagas' one day. :) Hopefully you enjoyed it. :)

Tribe Name:                     buhta breins
Tribe Symbol:                   a yellow + sign, which symbolises the helper gnoblars are present.
Tyrant Name:                   Symon
Tribe Background Info:

the "buhta breins" are a group of mentally ill ogres ranging from schizophrenia to paralysis. they where left at a camp near some brettonian battlements when the ogres retreated to a uncharted mountain which the buhta breins did not know about. they got there name from the other ogres in their previous clan referred to the different ones as "buhta breins" as they did not know how they depended on the others for life in all different ways. some of them where incapable of hunting some couldnt move their legs or other limbs and some couldn't communicate but they soon had a little community going and they had a group of gnoblars that took the role of carers to those that needed it although at the time the gnoblars turned up the majority of them did not need help because what the previous clan had deemed them was completely untrue and inappropriate. they where faring so well with the help of some gnoblars they managed to take down a group of 45 ogres, by using tactics instead of pure brawn which ogres are stereotyped to be. if any one thinks this is stereotyping mentally ill people and saying they are stupid that is completely untrue and we should always care and be friendly with people who are different to us. this was NOT meant to be offensive if you found it this way i am sincerely sorry. this sort of thing just interests me because my mum is psychology teacher and shes always telling me things about this.

Tribe Name: the Goldgut tribe

Tribe Symbol: Haven't really come up with anything yet, possibly a golden gut-plate or a stack of coins

Tyrant Name: Sareef the Goldhoarder, Giantbreaker, Chief Skinflint of the Goldgut tribe

Tribe Background Info:

When Sareef returned to the Stonebreaker tribe from his stint as a Maneater in the lands of Araby, he came
under much ridicule for the fascination he had developed with gold on his travels. Constantly carrying his wealth around with him in securely locked chests, he is followed by his faithful (and latest surviving) Gnoblar accountant. He saw his fellow tribemates as no more than savages, refusing to participate in daily brawls and keeping to himself during tribal feasts.

Finally sick of his barbaric tribe, Sareef declared his intentions during a feast, his voice bellowing over the cacophony. He pointed a finger at the tribe's Tyrant, Bolgruff Stoneeater, and declared a challenge to the old ogre for leadership of the tribe in single combat. Every ogre stopped, and stared at the upstart young ogre, even the tyrant stopped mid-chew to stare at the lone figure. The silence was only broken when Sareef strode away from the feasting area, an explosion of raucous guffaws and howls of laughter following him all the way back to his tent on the edge of the village.

Despite his distaste, Bolgruff accepted the challenge as traditions had to be upheld regardless of the challenger. To even the old Tyrant's surprise, Sareef wielded not the traditional Ironfist, but with hands bare and guts out. Not one to question an advantage, Bolgruff charged the young ogre. Sareef neatly sidestepped the charge, seizing Bolgruff by the neck and thrusting a fistful of gold crowns down the surprised ogre's neck. Pinning the larger ogre down on the ground as he slowly choked on the coins, Sareef pummelled Bolgruff in the face with his meaty fists until the tyrant ceased moving altogether.

Since that day Sareef has worked hard to "educate" his tribe. Leading raids down the mountains, he would
specifically target rich towns and estates, teaching his tribe the value of waiting in ambush (or rather, patience altogether). Since then he has migrated the entire tribe down to the lower foothills, taking over a manor of an Empire nobleman who had the estate set up in the middle of nowhere specifically to avoid such conflict.

Taking residence in what remained of the manor and setting up a village of sorts around it, Sareef arrogantly
renamed his tribe to the Goldgut tribe. But despite this wave of new change and improvement he had brought on, he had come to one realisation: he loathed sharing his wealth with the rest of his tribe. So despite the name he had given his tribe, only he was permitted to wear a golden gutplate (as befits his lofty station), leaving those not as privileged as he was to make do with primitive bronze and crude iron equipment.

To this day, those who have encountered the Goldgut tribe have learned one thing: if there is one thing they value more than violence and a good feed, it is the glimmer of gold.

Tribe name: Ironbones.

Tribe symbol: a bone clearly made from iron plate, to varying degrees of stylised-ness.

Tyrant name: Gigrog Ironskull.

Tribe Background: Ghark Ironskin had to test his favoured, and greatest, son, Gigrog, to see if he was worthy of tyranthood. Gigrog was ordered to kill his two closest brothers, or be exiled. In this way, Ghark sought to test the young ogre's dedication to the tribe, his resolve, and his ruthlessness, things that a tyrant requires.
Gigrog refused, and left with his brothers and as many ironguts, leadbelchers and ironblasters as he could convince or steal, and wandered the world, smashing and eating anything he found.
After several decades, Gigrog settled down and founded Ironside town on the edge of Gash Kadrak. Ironside is the now largest permanent ogre settlement, and the Ironebones are the most advanced tribe in the mounains of mourn, thanks to its resident Daemonsmiths, foremost among them the Skaven-Hating Rotgarth.
The bushes shook, a high-pitched warble emanating from them. The cannon crew turned to look.
Later investigations by Rotgarth would show that one of the operators of the Warp Lightning cannon had been killed through being bashed over the head with the other repeatedly.
He fed the Warbler extra coal that night.

Tribe Name: Gurzgag's Ironbellies
Tribe Symbol: An open maw full of skulls
Tyrant Name: *takes deep breath* The Ever-Hungry Gurzgag Grumblegut Ironbelly The Portulent
Tribe Background: Gurgzgag's Ironbellies is a motley crew of mercenaries traveling the Old World offering their services to whomever can afford their prices (usually foodstuffs). Due to their travels they encounter many cultures and societies and as such develop a large portions of Maneaters. In fact most Maneaters can say they fought in the Ironbellies one time or another. The tribe had been ruled over by Gurzgag's father Gruk The Hunger-Fiend for over 65 years until Gurgzgag usurped and consumed him. Gurzgag while ruling with an Iron fist (both literally and figuratively) and at times rather arrogantly never makes a move until he has been consulted by his Slaughtermaster Skrekk The All-Consumer. There is an old tribe legend that Gurzgag and Skrekk once split their forces and offered their services to opposing sides of a conflict and proceeded to fight on opposite sides of the battlefield and once they finished off each others employer's force earned the Great Maw's reverence with a huge  bountiful feast of the fallen.

Tribe Name:   The Granitegut Belchers
Tribe Symbol (image or description):   See Avatar
Tyrant Name:   Grogun Belcher, Great prophet of the tribe
Tribe Background Info:   The tribe had been a very minor grouping within Ogre society having spent most of its time hiring itself out to the highest bidder.  They had made the move along with a number of other major tribes from the Eastern Steppes, across the Chaos Wastes and into the Mountains of Mourn.  The tribe made its way south and it was here that Grogun Belcher then made his pilgrimage to the Great Maw.  At the time his father Morzgut Belcher was the Tyrant of the tribe and was reaching the end of his days and died before Grogun returned to the tribe.  Grogun had though made his way into the Maw and more significantly made his way back out again.  The visions granted from the Maw showed him that greatness awaited the tribe and he returned to share the news.  However, in his absence his father’s second, Therute Grumblegut, had assumed leadership of the tribe.  On returning he immediately challenged the usurper and in a rather swift duel squashed Grumblegut’s head between his bare hands.  Grogun then proceeded to devour Grumblegut before the tribe, gulping down his power and subsequently assumed command of the tribe.  Grogun shared his visions from the Maw and was hailed as one of the few Ogre Great Prophets.  The visions have led to him taking the tribe away from the Mountains of Mourn, across the River Ruin, into the Howling Wastes, to the lands of the manling things.  The rest will form the history of the tribe......

Tribe Name: The Daggerhand Tribe
Tribe symbol(image or description): a clawed Hand with a blade going through it
Tyrant name: Lord Dlortae Daggerhand Deathcheater the Eccentric
Tribe Background Info: Dlortae was originally found as an unnamed ogre child left during a migration. While the Empire were attacking through the mountains of mourn under command of the Rather bizarre Count Von Blaque. They came across the abandoned tribal territory. Alone, Dlortae was found by the count and taken with him back to the empire in secret. While there he kept Dlortae for a number of years, firstly as a pet, then as a bodyguard and finally as a "friend", schooling him to bost his intelligence to almost human levels and giving him a number of enchanted weapons and armour to wield. However Dlortae began to tire of his masters constant talking and obsessiveness and so ate him. Leaving the mansion with his personal weapons given to him when he was a bodyguard to the count and as much food as he could fit on himself, Dlortae left the empire under the cover of darkness and eventually made his way to the mountains of mourn. While there he used his vast intellect to confuse, swindle and double bluff ogres into his tribe. He no longer needs to do this, as he has gathered many loyal tribesmen to his cause and now seeks to find an artifact that he hopes will eliminate the great maw's gnawing influence over them all.

Tribe Name: The Thunderfang Tribe
Tribe symbol(image or description): A mountain in the maw symbol on a light blue background

TRIBE NAME: Dust Eaters
TRIBE SYMBOL: Dark red half circle with "feet", kinda like an inverted Omega (it looks like a mound of dust to the tribe)
TYRANT: Mugall Desert Chef the Unsanitary

Background: Mugall killed and served the last Tyrant - Sir Edem Silverscalp the Feathered.
Edem insisted on the "sir" after a rather unsuccessful campaign to the Empire, where his captor
Captain Rasmus of Berufstadt forced him to fight for his freedom in countless battles. Edem of course
grossly exaggerated his story and deeds, thus gathering a band of particularly dim-witted ogres around himself after returning to the Mountains of Mourn. Being such a small tribe, the only place to live was just
outside the Eagle Eyries and Gash Kadrak - they were violently thrown out of the mountains by stronger tribes.
Here the tribe sought to make a decent living along the river. Their luck is portrayed by their acquired name -
the Dust Eaters. A good-for-nothing Tyrant and slim pickings  began to tear on the nerves of the tribe Butcher - Mugall Desert Chef the Unsanitary. In a moment of extreme desperation (and lack of quality meat) his puny wits somehow enabled him to plan the death of Sir Edem.
Being of inferior skill and strength than that of the ruling Tyrant, Mugall poisoned Sir Edem's afternoon snack. Dizzy and ill, he was no match for Mugall, who could serve some of the finest meat the  tribe had had for a long time that evening. The tribe was in awe. Mugall was now one inspired Ogre and impressed with his own success he began a campaign to find new and better food - the Dust Eaters would soon become real meat-eaters, he thought aloud to himself (and the nearby tribesfolk)...
Tribe:BeastKins

Tribe symbol:
A two horned Maw containing a smaller maw

Tribe Info:  The Beastkins tribe ruled by its gigantic overly muscular tyrant Hulken Beastdread, is a secretive tribe of nomad ogres who are famed for  living amongst and breeding dangerous wild beasts especially the mournfangs and sabretusks. It is no surprise that the tribe population is lesser than the other more "civilized" ogre tribes.

The tribe is further broken down into stables of different associative beast types to which they named themselves after such as Golrog Tuskkins or Brot Fangkins, ogres of each stable pride themselves not only in hunting and taming the most aggressive beast but also to incorporate and boss these beasts into their daily life. Status in the Beastkins tribe is based often on how many and how big the beasts can an ogre control.

The youngsters of the tribes who are not yet worthy to ride the beasts are charged with the dull job of following the butchers of the tribe to learn of the choice morsels for their beasts or watch how to properly roast meats by the firebellies.

In battle, the Beast Kins are mostly mournfangs riders and sabretusks, if the battle is particularly big and full of other terrifying monsters, the enourmous Hulken Beastdread can be seen drawn on his chariots of six mourn fangs, four rhinoxes or three stonehorns, ready to gain more exotic pets or meats!

TRIBE NAME: Bouldernuts

Tribe symbol: 2 giant blood covered rocks

Tyrant name: Tegergl Silverbone skullmuncha Bouldergnards

Tribe backround:The tribes name was officially given after the Tyrant's most tender regions were crushed during an avalanche. After many hours of extremely loud bellowing even for an ogre the Tyrant, Tegergl the Tremendous, was given the additional name Bouldernuts when he slowly aroused and began to strike the fallen boulder in anger. Afterwards many of the tribes ogres continued to smash their ogre hood away with rocks. Not their smartest moment but hey, their ogres. So to this day they bear a distinct hatred for rocks of any kind. smashing any they see to pieces. They are a particularly busy tribe as they make their home in the mountains. So they wander every day in search for more rocks to crush for revenge over the tyrants lost boulders of his own
Tribe Name: Warchompers

Tribe Symbol: Grinning, tusked teeth, dripping blood

Tyrant Name: Grud the Conniver aka Grud the Double-Dealer aka Grud the Avaricious

Tribe Background: The Warchompers rarely settle down for any length of time, preferring to march to war almost constantly. Tyrant Grud is insatiably greedy and follows any lead he can for treasure troves. Grud is shockingly canny for an ogre and while not of a tactical mind, he does know how to read people. He keeps a crippled seer named Largos with him and with his pet wizard he can accurately predict almost anything. Recently the Warchompers have set off for the old world on the scent of dwarven treasure brought to them by a returning maneater.
Cheers.
Tribe Name: "The Orlongs"

Tribe Symbol: Don't need one. Look, boy, you're either an Orlong or you aint... and we know if you aint...

Tyrant: Blistig The God Killer

Having returned to his tribe thirty odd years late after being sent on a seemingly simple errand for the Slaughtermaster, retrieving a hellheart, Blistig The Godkiller found things in the Orlongs to have stagnated. The once renowned southern tribe had significantly weakened under the rule of of its new tyrant, whose complete lack of any ambition other than sitting in the biggest chair and eating the best cuts of meat, had seen the Orlongs wasted in utter complacency. Having built a massive reputation for himself out in the world, the God Killer decided to take action. Once the Hellheart was finally delivered to Mungo the Corpulent, Blistig marched straight to the incumbent tyrant and threw down the gauntlet, as it were. Needless to say he had a good fight and a good feed that day. Now the Orlongs are back on the up and up, even though the Chaos gods seem intent on sending Daemon princes the Godkillers way to punish his uncanny prowess and boundless ambition every month or so...

Tribe Name - The Bloodhod Tribe

Tribe Symbol - A Viper's Mouth with Stylised Tongue in the Centre

Tyrant's Names - Broggut Hodjaw and Stromboli Bloodsupper

Background - Well known throughout the Warhammer world for their outlandish and overbearing behaviour, the Bloodhod tribe are called upon on many an occasion. Gus Thudvom, the Slaughtermaster of the tribe and ex Maneater is well versed in combat and has had a special 25 foot cauldron built to commemorate his (and the Great Maw's) acts. Broggut and Stromboli met Gus while chewing their way through the inhabitants of Lustria, where they live presently in the ruined city of Tlanxla. The Bloodhod tribe have managed to construct a 40-50ft structure capable of harnessing the power of the Grand Cauldron where Gus Thudvom throws all manner of dead being into the boiling pot. A plethora of cold blooded creatures have been tamed by the Bloodhod tribe in order to further their cause. Their name has been created by their duel Tyrants Broggut Hodjaw and Stromboli Bloodsupper. Seemingly unique to any other tribe they have 2 leading Tyrants, each incredibly powerful in their own way.
Tribe name: Sons of Northern Darkness

Tribe symbol: five teeth, forming a five-pointed star

Tyrant name: Abbath Tuskmaster IV

Background: The Sons control the entrance to the Mountains of Mourn from the Eastern Steppes, extorting tolls from merchants and, frankly, anyone else they feel like. They favour the frost-bitten climate of the north, and generally are paler-skinned than other ogres.

Their armies are often heard before they are seen, being accompanied by giant rhinox-mounted war drums; the rank and file also belt out terrifying but incomprehensible war-chants as they march to battle. Once spotted, the Sons are identified by their flamboyant black warpaint around the eyes.

Abbath Tuskmaster IV is a scion of the infamous Tuskmaster dynasty, renowned far and wide for its Thundertusk-taming skills. Abbath enjoys nothing more than driving his herd into the Chaos Wastes for a ruck with those funny little spiky warrior chappies.
The Beasteaters
The biggest skull they can find at the time
Noric firestomper

They live on the slopes around the fire mouth and so they have strong ties to the firebelly tribe
They spend there time hunting the biggest meanest mountain dwellers they can find to eat and to claim bragging rights. The largest skull that is brought back becomes the symbol of the tribe, when one is brought in that's bigger the 2 responsible fight it out and the winners skull gets pride of place.
Because of this the hunters of the tribe are held in high regard and spend more time with the tribe than is usually the case

Tyrant: Jephosis the Grueling

Tribe Background: they worship the mournfang and their riders as near-paladins, the hunter is a scout as well as a wilderness "shaman", seeming to pull sustenense out of the frozen outcrops of the Romesko mountains. ogre achievements 19/101
I thought I had already posted this ages ago but apparently not hehe.  Anyways here it is for the achievements  :D

Tribe Name  Thunder Frost
Tribe Symbol (image or description)

Tyrant Name Farad'n Chill Bringer.
Tribe Background Info  The Thunder Frost tribe live on the lower slopes of the mountains of Mourn around the Ice Caverns of Ymirdrak.  They tend to have a fair number of Yhetee's tag along for their hunts due to there proximity to the Ice Caverns and Northern Mountains.  In addition to their already stoney skin they have taken on a tint of blue testament to the cold climate.
They particularly like attacking Chaos troops being rather close an' all.  Might not taste too good but nothing a little Frosty seasoning won't change!  But whenever possible the Thunder Frost tribe will seek out more succulent meats for a change as and when the chaosy pallet gets too dull!  Up and coming Ogre's within the tribe will often get sent out to "secure" such meats as part of the tribe's initiation.  Always a good way to get popular with the tribe quick!

Tribe Name: The Bluestone Tribe

Tribe Symbol (image or description): A dark blue boulder being struck by lightning

Tyrant Name: Gutfang Firetouched

Brief Tribe Background Info: They regard the bluestone that they quarry as a lucky charm. All ogres in the tribe have at least one bit on them at all times, the older the ogre the more likely he has had replacement teeth made from the stone or had it pierced through him.

They live high in the mourn mountains and are often cut off in the winter, as such they eat the rocks if their stocks run out. Its because of this that they have a dark grey skin, the plagioclase feldspar in the rock reacts with the haemoglobin creating a dark grey skin. However this also means that the tribal elders dont have the usual fat that dictates power so instead they have fire walking competitions. The person who can stand in the heat of the coals for the longest is seen as the most powerful ogre of all. This competition has been won 12 years in a row by the current tyrant Gutfang Firetouched. No one can understand why but after being hit by an elder fire dragons breath instead of turning to cynders like the rest of his Irongut bodyguard, instead his skin turned a cream colour with greys and browns running through it. To this day he can spend so much time in the coals that he gets hungry enough to eat the coals.

They use the large creatures to haul the stones out of the quarries. With all the training from hacking stones the maneaters of the tribe manage to weild 2 picks as well as one massive pick like a human would a stick, as such in battle they are nick named the red boulders, their skin covered in the gore of their enemies.
Skraggi saw the ogre coming for him, placing the pistol into his mouth he pulls the trigger, alas Skraggi rolls a 1!

Tribe Name: The Deathcheater Tribe
Tribe Symbol: Great Maw in white with two added vampiric fangs
Tyrant Name: None - Vampire Lord known only as Dark Vlad

Tribe Background Info:
All having faced certain death some more than once, The Deathcheater tribe was nigh invincible and had grown too confident of their skill. Hearing of the mighty gathering of fierce adventurers and bountiful treasures in the city of Mordheim the Deathcheater tribe set out to claim it all for themselves. Fearing nought but the very largest of dragons, they set up a large camp in the unforgiving wetlands of Hel Fenn. This was a terrible terrible mistake, for a great terror lurked deep in the heart of the fen, great plans he had for the unknowing tribe.

Killing all that went near the camp he and his necromancer apprentice lulled the tribesmen into an arrogant sense of security. One fatal night they struck - swift as lightning the vampire silenced the Tyrant and his Slaughtermaster. Before the remainder of the tribe could even get a firm grip on their clubs; a throng of hands clawed and grasped at their feet dragging their heavy bodies into the murky waters of the fen.

Opening their eyes they woke as from heavy sleep they tried to bellowed with cruel laughter thinking they had cheated death once again. But something was wrong, not even a tiny whisper was to be heard - desperately trying again, but to no avail, the once so fearless tribe came to realize that they had been raised as lifeless puppets strung along obeying their new masters every whim.

They marched north.

They are some of the finest killers in the old world, for they follow the example of the most experienced warrior to have ever lived. They are the skull munchers, and they are coming to get you.....
Raaaaaargh!
Tribe Name: Fleshhooks
Tribe Tyrant: Morgg Fleshhook
While the Great Maw is revered and worshiped by all Ogres, some take this belief to an extreme extent, pushing the limits of there mortal frame to get all the power their every hungry deity has to offer for them. These masters of Gut Magic live closer to their former homelands (and thus the Great Maw) than any other Ogre would dare to do, and it is an existence of cannibalism, scavenging and ferocity that keeps them alive. The Fleshhook tribe is the most successful and longest lived of these extremists, having mastered gastromancy far beyond what most ogres would consider possible. While most living so close to the god would be instantly killed, the Fleshhooks have survived, as their leader, Morgg, has been able to stave off death for he and his tribe over a century with great offerings to the Maw, each time requiring a bigger feast, and thus, a massive slaughter. Although eventually the offering will become to big to even kill, never mind consume, Morgg Presses on, killing all those he can with two gigantic meat hooks blessed by the Maw, and increasing his tribes fighting prowess with his gastromancy. Thus is their continued existence, killing and consuming, for all eternity, until there is no life left for them to consume, or something else consumes them.
Tribe Name
The Rabid Ogres

Tribe Symbol
The Great Maw, Foaming at the Bottom

Tyrant Name
Moakee the Rabid

Tribe Background Info

When Moakee returned to the Mountains of Mourn, he was still a wanderer, connected to no tribe. During a stay with one friendly tribe, however, he got into an argument while telling one of his tales. A fight quickly broke out, primarily between Moakee and another, though the rest of the tribe could not resist the temptation to join in. Driven by an unnatural bloodlust, Moakee easily dominated his foe, before biting deeply into him. At that moment, the tyrant of the tribe smashed a path through his ogres and called an end to the fight.

Several days later, while traveling through the mountains, Moakee was approached by the ogre who he had bitten. The ogre claimed that at the tribe's next battle, he was gripped by an insatiable hunger resembling that which Moakee used to win his fight. Thanks to the bloodlust, the ogre turned the tide of the battle and left the enemy in shambles. The ogre wished to join Moakee on his travels, believing that he was gifted by the Great Maw itself. Since then, Moakee began traversing the Mountains of Mourn, biting ogre after ogre to convince them to join him in a new tribe. Occasionally, he cannot resist and eats whole limbs, but he has successfully built a tribe in this manner. It has gotten him in trouble with more than one rival tyrant, but he has yet to meet one he cannot either overpower with his bloodlust or convert to his own cause.

Moakee claims that the origins of his tribe stretch back to a distant pilgrimage to the Great Maw, where he was granted a new power by the god. Others whisper that his power instead came from an infected bite when he was fighting as a Maneater in the Badlands. Whatever the case, what cannot be denied is that Moakee and his tribe are different than the average ogre. Each of them possesses an immense bloodlust that grips them during combat. While it causes them to be reckless, and has resulted in several massacres, it grants them a strength that has seen them through battles none should have survived.
Tribe NameThe Firewalker tribe
Tribe Symbol A foot with the five toes flaming
Tyrant Name Kordich Fire-eater
Tribe Background InfoLocated northwest of the Fire Mouth volcano, the Firewalker tribe turned from worship of the Great Maw to that of the Fire Mouth when the dormant volcano they lived under, and which provided warm temperatures in an arctic area, erupted during a dispute with a neighboring Ogre tribe.  The resulting explosion saved the Firewalkers from the brink of extinction, and the added fire rituals have only strengthened their warriors.

Several active hunters have lead to a larger than standard amount of large creatures in this tribe, and they are always active to ensure there is enough meat for the tribe to stay healthy.  Gnoblars are almost unseen in this tribe, as the proximity of the semi-active volcano to the tribe has killed off the weedy runts.  Instead, the labors normally carried out by Gnoblars are done by slaves, including Greenskins, Dwarves, and even less-than-worthy Ogres.

Tribe name:   Maw Breaker

Tribe symbol: a red great maw symbol with broken and shattered teeth on a white background.

Tyrant: Vorek the Defiant

Tribe background:

Called by the maw on the pilgrimage all ogres eventually take, Vorek the Defiant stood over looking the great maw and the wasteland surrounding it. But  Instead of awe and reverence, only anger, hatred, and sorrow filled him. Believing that before the coming of the great maw, ogres lived a peaceful life, untroubled by constant insatiable hunger and the incessant calling of the maw. Vorek left that horrid place and began to gather believers, others who were sick of, or even driven mad, being shackled to this thing, this monstrosity, horror that had destroyed what the ogre race had been. And what was worse, it was being revered as a god by other ogres.
The Maw Breakers, as they have come to call themselves, are now on a fanitical crusade to destroy the great maw and restore the ogre race to what it once was. The ranks of the the righteous swell with converts with each victory against those who stand in their way as they seek the knowledge and the power to reclaim their ancestral homeland and destroy the source of the darkness tearing at the soul of every living ogre.

Tribe:  Shadowmoon Clan
Tribe Symbol:  Crescent Moon
Tyrant:  Dentarg
Tribe Background:  Long before World of Warcraft ruined the Warcraft Lore, the Shadowmoon clan was involved in the campaigns to take Lorderon.  We were driven back into Draenor and fought for our lives against the humans.  After going through a dimensional cascade, we came to a land of many mountains and sky giants (we ate them).  We also started to worship a God with many teeth because he promised to feed our unending hunger.  We no longer Fight in the old worlds as we once did, but we fight a new war.  A war against pretty much everybody in the world.  (I mean, really... In warhammer all we do is fight against random people.  How does reproduction keep up with the loss of life!  Eventually everybody would go extinct!!!!!!  Read in the BRB and it has countless example of unending bazillions fighting unending bazillions and everyone dies but the special characters...  Anyway...)  But needless to say, it is a war and we must fight it!!!  When's dinner?
The enemy of my enemy is my double enemy.

Gut magic:  The art of eating what nobody else wants to eat, just to see what happens.
Tribe Name: Rockgut Tribe
Tribe Symbol: A mountain encircled by the Maw.
Tyrant Name: Bhorgur Rockgut, the Skystomper
Tribe Background Info: Bhorgur Rockgut rules his tribe atop the Skyknife, one of the steepest and tallest peaks in the Mountains of Mourn. A large citadel sits on the peak, one of the lost remnants of the once great and proud race of Sky-titans. Although the castle is small by Sky-titan's measures, to the Ogres its halls are vast and plentiful beyond belief. From his home Bhorgur has a large influence over nearby tribes - selling ancient weaponry in return for vast wealth.
Bhorgur earned his title, "Rockgut", when he arose to the head of the tribe. The previous Tyrant was giant even by Ogre standards, standing near 13 feet tall and easily as wide. It was to a hearty laugh that Bhorgur's challenge was accepted - the Tyrant was nearly 80, and every challenger before had been messily beaten and devoured. What the Tyrant did not expect, however, was that Bhorgur had eaten nearly half a ton of rocks before the fight. When he took off his gut-plate, a swollen, steel-hard belly sprung out.
The fight was a short one. The old Tyrant's neck was broken beneath a wall of flesh, the weight of a herd of Rhinoxen pressing down upon his head. The tribe accepted Bhorgur as their new leader, and many still practice eating rocks before a battle.
When the Rockguts go to war, they do so bellowing and sprinting down their mountain, the ground thundering beneath the feet of a thousand Ogres.
I miss the Tenderiser...
I used to be called "Ghlezgar", if you want to know.

Tribe Name: Boar Lobbers

Tribe Symbol: Boar Head skewered on a BBQ fork

Tyrant Name: Morkatch Swineswallower, Elfbeater, Fortressbreaker

In the Mountains of Mourn, every creature is larger, tougher and more ferocious than those who dwell in the low lands. One of these creatures are the Ram-Horned Boars, a beast that looks like a cross between a massive swine and a hearty mountain goat. These creatures are able to charge down a mountain slope no matter the obstacles that would trip a lesser hog, ethier by crushing it flat Or with pure sure footedness. Morkatch gained his name and tribe name/"tactic"from these irritable beasts. The first being gained from wrestling an alpha male down to the ground bare handed and the eating it alive. The latter gained from when one a potential challenger for came in the form of a sabretusk. Morkatch, still holding the squirming boar simply gave a look at the sabre tusk and hurled the pissed off porcine at the soon to be dead sabre.

Since that day, The Boar Lobber tribe have bred and used these boars as live ammunition. Either through throwing them, launching them from catapults, or firing them from specially made iron blasters. The boars (usually) will survive the landing, and the midst of their bloodrage will charge the thing in front of them, I.e. the enemy. This tactics has laid waste to many oppenents and entire camps and settlements have been found crushed with hoof and boot prints indented into the corpses and ground.

Tribe Name: The Taan'gut Tribe

Tribe Symbol (image or description): The top half of the Great Maw symbol with a rock below(representing "the Ta'angut tribe and the Great Maw above all")

Tyrant Name: Wu'zu Mawfeeder

Slaughtermaster Name: Murgeng Feastgut

Battle Standard bearer: Tagadd Rustbeard

Tribe Background Info: Led by Wu'zu Mawfeeder and his protege Fargag Silvergut the Ta'angut Tribe were one of the last tribes to leave their homelands and settled in the foothills of the mountains surrounding Mist Gorge rather than migrating westward further from the Great Maw. Rarely do they venture in to the high mountains preferring the lowlands and foothills and, therefore, have not encountered the hardhsips of the Ogres that passed through the Sky-titan lands, conversely they also did not gain access to the Titan cannons and the beasts of the mountains instead relying on lowland animals for transportation. Giant wolves pull chariots and carry Ogres in to battle rather than Rhinoxen and Mournfangs and have been gathered by Hunters as their companions instead of the Sabretusk.
The Ta'angut Tribe is split in to two distinct groups, the Black Heads and the Red Faces, the former being those who utilise the blackpowder weapons and the latter those who rely on strength of arms. Each group mocks the other but live peacefully with each other in the tribe.

Tribe name - The Bogstompers

Tribe symbol - Muddy footprint in a black Maw

Tyrant name - Thuggard Mudguzzler

Tribe background info - The only thing tougher than the those of the forgotten settlements of Albion, are the creatures that feed upon them.
The Bogstompers are a wandering tribe that has made the Isle of Albion their home. A tribe of stranded ogres bought together under the rule of Thuggard, and guided by the Slaughtermaster Goulag Fenblades.
Tribe: The Breakfast Club
(Cause breakfast is the most important meal of the day and clubs are what kills the things, which will become our breakfast.)

Tribe symbol:

Tyrant: Mawfette

Info: The Breakfast Club is a warband of ogre raiders, that roams the borders between chaos wastes and the Mountains of Mourn. Over time mutation spread here and there and wandering chaos ogres joined.
The warband follows a mixed religion of chaos undivided and the maw, believing that the maw was sent by the powers of chaos i.o. to strengthen their influence on the world... and make ogres all strong and tough like, so they can eat everything!

Tribe Name: Tribe of the Major Leaflet Campaign

Tribe Symbol: Simply a large piece of parchment with the word DIE painted on in big capital letters

Tyrant: Rotgut Stoneswallower Leslie Giantbreaker

Info: The Tribe of the Major Leaflet Campaign were simply a small group of mercenary Ogres until they got an unofficial name from a jibe that was shouted at them by allies (well, former allies after the 'incident of the big club being shoved somewhere') from The Empire - namely a rather cowardly handgunner named Rimmer, as the tribe are normally more about diplomacy with poorly written communication than fighting; but mostly they can't be bothered to pick a new name. Contrary to the name, they don't give out leaflets, but send out Ironguts aplenty to rip whatever they fight against limb-from-limb.
Tribe Name Fire Starters
Tribe Symbol (image or description) The Great Maw with a flame in the centre
Tyrant Name Konungr-Bruni, Mountaineater
Tribe Background Info
After living so close to the Fire Mouth for so long the Fire Starters realised the benefit of a good flame for getting rid of annoying Thinlings.

The tribe has a larger than usual amount of Firebelly priests due their proximity to the Fire Mouth, usually preferring a Firebelly to a Butcher or Slaughtermaster as they have almost completely gone over to the worship of this aspect of the Great Maw.

The tribe can be recognised by their sigil, the Great Maw with a flame in the centre, signifying might by flame.
Tribe:The Beast Breakers

Tribe Symbol:

Tribe Background:  The Beast Breaker Tribe started shortly after the great migration, when all the ogres fled into the     mountains of mourn. A group was separated from their main tribe, and using only cunning and wits managed to survive off the land. They formed a village and prospered, the skills they developed made them excellent hunters, envied by all other tribes for how much sheer food and ivory they were able to accumulate. What made them truly astounding however, was the ability to tame beasts like no others. The Hunters of the Beast Breakers could tame most any beast they set there eyes upon. Whether it be Stonehorn, Thundertusk, Rhinox, or the dreaded Mournfang. They could tame them all, and often sell these beasts or incredible wealth.

Every so often the Tribe decides to descend from high up on the peaks, crashing down like a furious avalanche unto the valleys below. Under the crashing feet, hooves and paws the tribe smashes into whatever they feel like without remorse. Leaving none alive and hauling what they deem needed back to their huts on the peaks of the mountains above.

Tribe Name
The Jolnar
Tribe Symbol (image or description)

Tyrant Name
Vali the Hammer
Tribe Background Info
The Jolnar were once slave troops for the Graeling dwarves of Norsca.

The nomadic tribe had been captured while weak from starvation, wandering through the mountains of Norsca.  Vali was a mere ogreling when the tribe was captured.  As years passed, he grew stronger and became the clear leader of the enslaved troops.  Possessing the typical ogrish megalomania and greed, he sought for the opportunity to escape their captivity and be the Tyrant he knew he should be.

During a particularly brutal battle between the Graelings and some incoming Dark Elf pirates from the West, Vali was able to lead his surviving Ogre brethren to their freedom.  They took refuge amongst the nearby caverns in the mountains.  To survive, they collected the armor and devoured the flesh of any Dwarven troops unlucky enough to stumble upon their lair.

The months of never-ending hunger and calling of the Great Maw began to drive the tribe mad.  Starvation began to set in amongst the weaker members of the Jolnar, which left his tribe at a greater risk of going extinct every day.

One night during a particularly nasty blizzard, Vali had a vision in his sleep.  He saw a creature of immense power, with outstretched wings and the head of a raven.  The creature turned its immense head and looked at Vali with burning eyes.

Vali, this ‘Maw’ you venerate will bring doom to you and your tribe.  The hunger you feel is not that of your own, but merely the curse that this ‘God’ has forsaken your peoples with.  The voice was immensely powerful and made the ogre struggle for breath.

Why you mock us, raven?  Vali wondered why this being had come to him.

You are strong Vali, and I have a use for your kind.  Serve me, and I will free you from the shackles of ‘The Great Maw’ and give you unimaginable power.  Vali paused, and licked his lips at the thought of what this Raven could give him and his tribe.  Freedom from The Great Maw could save them, and make the Jolnar thrive in battle.

The Maw powerful, the ogre replied, but Vali hates always hunger.  Free the Jolnar, and they serve.

Ogrish screams awoke Vali from his dream.  He looked around the cave to see his brethren clawing at their skulls.  Suddenly, Vali felt it as well.  A sharp pain shot from the base of his neck and exploded into his skull, as if someone had filled his head with white-hot embers.  He had rapid visions of symbols, scripts, past battles that he had been in, and then the powerful Raven from his vision with wings spread wide.

The pain suddenly subsided and Vali opened his eyes.  His tribe were all awake looking around, confused.  Changes had taken to their bodies, turning their rough yellowed skin to darkness.  Their once-dull eyes revealed a higher level of intelligence than they ever knew.  Chaos had began to take hold of the bodies and minds of the Jolnar.

The tribe's slaughtermaster slowly approached Vali, with his eyes wide in wonder of the events that just took place.  “Vali, I no longer feel The Maw's hunger.  What has happened to us?”

“I have made a pact to a new master, and we no longer serve The Maw.”

“Who is the new master we serve?”

“Tzeentch.”
Tribe Name: Stoneswallowers
Tribe Symbol: The Great Maw, a circle of jagged teeth, with a grey boulder between the teeth.
Tyrant Name: Ghrubzhog Stoneswallower
Tribe Background Info: A hundred years ago the Stoneswallower Tribe was known as the Boartusks. They were nearly wiped out by a war, leaving the Boartusks broken and homeless. Ghrabgutt, a Slaughtermaster with such an obscene paunch that he had a crew of Gnoblars to hold his gut up, discovered that he could get some nutrition from eating rocks - this was a few hours after eating his Gnoblars, leaving his favourite Mr Falldownpants (named for one hilarious incident) to last. The tribe withered, their guts shrinking to humiliating skinniness, as they wandered the Howling Wastes. But their luck turned as they wandered down a crack full of the tastiest rocks, and here regained their strengths and once again began to breed, multiply and attract Gnoblars. Although they now have once again set up basic animal husbandry, crude brewery and other trappings of Ogre civilisation, they still feast on the rocks at times of festivity.

Tribe Name
The Thunderfists

Tribe Symbol (image or description)
A closed fist with lightning bolts or a mountain with lightning bolts.

Tyrant Name
Krazog the Thunderlord

Tribe Background Info
Living in the shadow of a mountain eternally wreathed in lightning storms, dubbed by the surrounding Ogre tribes as the Mountain of Storms, the Thunderfists see the Mountain and its surrounding valleys as their own land. Due to the affinity with the lightning storms around the mountain, the Slaughtermaster and Butchers of the tribe have on occasion been able to cast bolts of lightning from their fists. As the worship of the Great Maw is held above all, the Thunderfists also hold feasts dedicated to the storms that they see as an extent of the Great Maw.

tribe name The Executors (know by the more informal name of "da decapitators" by the more superstitious gnoblars)

Tribe Symbol (image or description) a bloodied guillotine with forked lightning in the middle

Tyrant name the tribe leader has no formal name as any who have asked him have had their head swiftly removed from their shoulders , he is known simply as "Axe" by his tribe due to his legendary weapon that he carries with him everywhere

Tribe background info this tribe of ogres are executors first and for-most ,they are hired out in every corner of the known world by every race, from the bloodthirsty chaos to the civilised (apparently) empire to deal swift clean justice to all who would disobey their leaders and due to they variety of races that hire out these ogres, when the tribe marches to war (either to protect or enlarge their homeland) there is a huge variety of weapons and armour that each ogre is given by the race who hires them. Each of the ogres in the tribe have a preferred method of execution, from the simple decapitation to firing squad but there is only one amongst the tribe who is allowed to use an axe, the leader himself, the axe that he carries was gifted to him by the great dwarven smiths of Karak Azul as thanks for his actions when one of the orc prisoners escaped as he was sent to his death and tried to kill the nearest dwarf but 'axe' pulled the orc away from the dwarf and crushed his skull with one meaty hand saving the dwarf. Some say it was thorek ironbrow himself who presented it to him and that thorek and his most skilled smiths laboured on this gargantuan axe for an entire month. the haft of the axe is made from the branches of the lone tree that stands atop Karak Azul a wood so tough that it can only be cut by a saw with diamond teeth and has never been known to shatter , the axe head was made mostly from the famous gromril metal so that its edge will never dull and inlaid with gold and jewels and stamped with many ancient runes and thorek's own seal , none who face axe's fearsome weapon have ever escaped in one piece.

Tribe Name: The Great Amsa-Sunnasa Horde
Tribe Symbol: The Maw, painted in red, around a single green triangle, sometimes grey.
Tyrant Name: The Great Khan Khenti Temujin the Red Mountain

Tribe Background Info:

The Amsa-Sunnasa Horde is relatively new to the scene, although its short life does not limit its long list of accomplishments. It started as a small band of survivors of a pilgrimage to the maw, lead by an imposing, both physically, and in an odd twist for Ogres, intellectual Ogre named Khenti Temujin. The future great Khan had received a formal education, and was well versed in astronomy, math, and history. His brawn and brain allowed the survivors to find safe passage to the west, and to the Mountains of Mourn. The legend goes that they were absorbed by tribe in the region, and before long the Khenti Temujin had risen to become a Tyrant over that tribe.

The future Khan was not satisfied so far east, and pressed ever westward. As he moved his tribe westward, he collected ogre's who had lost clan or tribe, and was said to even absorb entire tribes in his wake. By the time he laid eyes on his first Imperial City, he was leading a massive horde. He called his gathering the Great Amsa-Sunnasa, or the Great Spirit of the Maw, the Empire would later tack on Horde. He also took the title Great Khan. Khenti Temujin was still an unknown though, respected by those he crossed paths with, but not the subject of myth yet.

That changed the day he marched his horde on a walled Imperial city. No siege was attempted, instead a section of wall was destroyed with an explosion. Witnesses report small greenskins skittering towards the wall carrying barrels, and being chased by other greenskins with torches. The horde stormed in through the breach, the humans unprepared for the brutal street fight that followed. The Prince of the city retreated, and spread the stories of an Ogre, who waded into combat, covered in the blood of all who stood before him. He was described as an unstopable red mountain. The title stuck.

The city was occupied for a fortnight, and then abandoned, stripped of anything that could be used, or eaten. For the first time, legend of the Khan and his horde began to spread.

He continued westward still, only pausing to raze the occasional settlement, town, or city. The westward movement only finished once the Khan came across a great, ruined, fortress at the junction of the Grey and Black Mountains. In this Aspen Valley, the horde came to its lumbering halt, each clearing soon filled with the camp fires and tents of the great host.

They are still there today, the Great Khan ruling his horde from his throne in the great fortress. The horde frequently raids near by Bretonnia, the Loren Forests, and the lands of the Border Princes, for food, gold, and thinnlings to rebuild the great fortress.
Tribe Name: The Scourge
Tribe Symbol: the typical maw symbol, with radiating tendrils extending in random directions like veins.
Tribe tyrant: Gaaltus the devourer
Tube history: The ogre tribe known as The Scourge were born from the ogre tribes devoured by The Great Maw when it first landed, they were spared by it, so that they may spread across the warhammer world, devouring all they come across. The Scourge employs bizarre tactics, they dig through the earth with looted dwarven mining machines, and great blind cave creatures. Although they do use the same beasts as most tribes, The Scourge also make use of subterranean beasts, such as tunnel wolves and great worms. The scourge attack settlements and towns by digging out the very foundation of the place, causing it to collapse in on itself, therefore "feeding" The Great Maw. Once their prey has fallen in, the ogres of The Scourge descend on them, like a ravening pack of animals. Ogres of The Scourge are typical very large, and have chalky, grey skin. Unlike most ogres, who resemble oversized, broad humans, ogres of The Scourge have upturned, porcine noses and round utterly inhuman mouths, and while their appearance makes them look like the mindless animals they so often act like, their beady eyes and esoteric ways hide a greater intelligence than one might expect. (And yes, they are based in part on the Locust of Gears Of War, but only the city sinking and grey skin bits.)
The Scourge idea has a lot of character! I'm looking froward to seeing your list and models.

Tribe Name:  Thrymheim Tribe

Tribe Symbol:  A blue hammer in front of a mountain in the background, with a sizeable chunk missing out of its size (read Tribe History)

Tyrant Name:  Thiazzi of Thrymheim

Tribe History:

Far to the North, lining the Sea of Claws are the Frostheim Mountains.  Perilous and with freezing chill, the inhospitable environment was home to minute numbers of ogres, trolls and vargs. It was however privy to a large population of Norse Dwarfs, who dwelled within Karak Ungrim, the Fortress City.
The sparse tribes of ogres living in the Frostheim Mountains lived a nomadic existence, content to wander when they wanted and feed off any fauna they could hunt.  An interesting and certainly notable trait of the ogres living in the Frostheim Mountains is their icy blue flesh; no doubt reminiscent of their natural affinity for the chill mountain environment
Born into a small band of roaming ogres was a runtling, given the name Ymir.  As an adolescent Ymir was quiet, but developed an incredible muscle mass and enviable gut.  Ymir's growth in body was matched by the expansive growth of his appetite, not for earthly delights, but for knowledge of the world and the experiences it had to offer him.
Ymir took to wandering, leaving the mountains and descending into Troll Country.  While the adversaries he faced there were mighty indeed, Ymir found no beast to conquer him in combat.
Moving further South still, Ymir made his way into Kislev.  Ogre mercenaries are not an uncommon thing within the expanse of the Empire, however his icy hide drew the interested glares of the inhabitants of the state.  It was during this time that Ymir discovered the Bonerattlaz Tribe of Orcs.  On their way to raid the small town of Choika, the tribe's then-Warboss, Goz Thugrakka ordered his Boar Boyz to encircle the wandering ogre as he dismounted and drew his massive hammer (which he dubbed 'SMASH-SMASH' but was by origin a hammer forged by giants in old times) and charged forward to meet Ymir head on.  The massive arcs of the hammer left craters in the ground where it struck, yet Ymir's ability to dodge, unknowable judging by the size of his bulk, allowed him to dexteriously out-maneuver the great orc's blows.  Ymir strode forward in-between one of the orc's swings and its back-swing, threw back his head, then rammed it with the momentum of a charging rhinox into the skull of the frenzied orc.  He fell dead in an instant, his thick forehead obliterated by the full force of Ymir's headbutt.  The remaining orcs of the warband quickly devolved into fearful bickering and departed hastily, unanimously deciding that 'fightin' the blue fing' could wait until another time.  The victorious ogre claimed the mighty hammer of the Orc and traveled further south into the lands of Ostermark, where he stayed for a few weeks in the town of Zeisholz.

It was during this respite, that, unbeknownst to the vigils of the town, the Skaven crept quickly within the walls.  Throats were slit, and the only alarm to be heard was the clash of steel between the combat of a guard and a Clan Eshin Assassin.  Ymir, who at the time was looking out onto the plains of Ostermark, reacted quickly - far quicker than an ogre should, to the hasty blade of an assassin.  Where Ymir caught the tail of the Skaven and beat the cloaked figure into the stone of the wall.  Bellowing loudly so as to alert the rest of the town, Ymir engaged a charge into the streets to combat the encroaching tide of ratmen hoarding onto the streets.  The fighting was quickly halted as the ogre dispatched quickly the verminous assailants.  At that moment a torrent of fleshy putrescence erupted from the tiles of the street, and Ymir was faced with the terrifying form of a Hell Pit Abomination, a pallid, reeking monstrosity born of the fetid minds of Clan Moulder's most depraved Breeders.  Bearing no qualms, the creature hesitated not to lurch directly toward Ymir, who, steeling himself, drew back his mighty hammer and cascaded blow after heavy blow into the bulk of the creature's frontquarters, all the while avoiding gnashing fangs of the abomination's distended jaws.  The struggle was epic.  Each strike by the monster yielded two from the ogre, who, eventually overcome by exhaustion, threw his life on the line in one last ditch-effort to silence the creature, charging directly into the horrid maw of the largest head.  Ymir struck repeatedly at the innards of the creature, meanwhile being gnawed by the rats fostered within the internal organs of the horrid creature.  Slowly, the creature died, destroyed from inside by the strength of the mighty ogre.  He emerged from within the bulk of the monstrosity, only to find himself surrounded by an innumerable horde of ratmen.  One in particular caught the ogre's eye.  The Skaven, more bloated than some of the ogres Ymir had seen in his time, seethed with anger.  'Seize him!' squealed Throt - the ogre yielded no defiance due to the fatigue of his encounter with the Hell Pit Abomination and was enchained and marched to the Clan Moulder's main stronghold, Hell Pit.

For months, Ymir worked laboriously under the cruel whip of the taskmaster, toiling in the tunneling efforts of the other skavenslaves.  His back reddened raw by the lashes applied to it, with scars running deep, the once frozen-blue hide was unrecognisable; he lamented the loss of his freedom, and burned with abhorrence for his jailors.  As the gates to the stronghold opened once more, to permit the entrance of more slaves for the skaven's abuse, Ymir made his move.  Quickly overpowering the slavers surrounding him, the ogre sprinted full-force toward the quickly closing doors.  The assembled guards of the Clan immediately descended upon him, scratching, clawing and biting his open sores.  A Ogre held back his left arm, pulling it until it dislocated, but nonetheless, Ymir did not halt.  He ran and ran dauntless of the pulling chains and grasping ratkin to his rear, he bolted onwards, until, like a gust of blizzard wind, Ymir was free.  With no time for respite however, the ogre did not rest until he had reached the surface.  It was not until he had reached a fair enough distance from the Skaven hole that the ogre collapsed, succumbing finally to the months of accumulated labour and his sustained wounds.

Ymir awoke days later, having not been discovered, but with a curious, yet familiar companion.  The hammer that he had won from the Orc Warboss had returned by some means.  Surely, Ymir thought no ratkin would return it to him, he took it as a sign from his deity, the Great Maw that he was indeed favoured.  It was not until briefly after beginning his migratory journey back to the Frostheim Mountains that Ymir began to notice the effects of his long-term imprisonment - delirium crept over the mighty ogre and he wandered aimlessly, directed only by his shattered sense of reality, he fell unconscious once more atop a craggy outcrop on the side of a mountain.
When he awoke, bewildered and confused, the ogre surveyed his surroundings.  How unlikely and yet nostalgic a sight to see, but his own homeland; Ymir, the wanderer, the Orc Slayer, the Skavenslave had returned home from his existential journey of self-discovery.  Overwhelmed by the joy of being returned safely, Ymir raised his hammer, and began to weep and cheer raucously into the icy-blustering winds surrounding the mountain.  The emotions welling up inside of him needed to be released, so, with titanic blows, Ymir began demolishing cavernous blows into the mountainside, with sound like thunderclaps, he proceeded to smash into the heart of the mountain.  Meteoric blows rained down onto the face of the mountain, until he was nearly at its core.  Ymir collapsed, positively exhausted, spent from his lifetime worth of experience and prepared for whatever fate the Great Maw held for him, the ogre passed away, giving himself to the heart of the mountain.

The dying moments of Ymir, the wanderer were witnessed surprisingly by a passing band of nomad ogres, all of icy-hides.  Their leader, a stark-headed yet wise ogre named Thiazzi, viewed the vivacity of the Ymir as without equal, thus, as a result, claimed the cavern made by the great ogre's final actions as the home-ground of his tribe, calling it Thrymheim, named for the clamorous strikes of the hammer against the mountainside like a thunderstorm.  Ymir, following this, was revered as the Patriarch of Titans, and his hammer was brought to battle countless times by Thiazzi.  In addition, Thiazzi thought it better to reflect the tribe's association with the great ogre, thus he flayed the skin of his own back to achieve the same reddened and raw tone, permeated by the lines of scars, presenting the might of the ogre who bore them, in the name of the Great Maw.

Tribe Name: Keg Smashers Tribe

Tribe Symbol: Black maw with a keg in the middle

Tyrant name: Current: Grotzerg Rotten Gut Brewmaster. Founder: Argoth Ale Devourer

Info:
many winters ago Argoth led a small group of ogres to the Empire in search of work as mercenaries. they were quickly enlisted by a dark figure met in a pub on the outskirts of the world edge mountains to travel to Albion in search of a bottle of the finest drink any man, monster, or ogre had ever tasted. the figure spoke of a barbarian tribe whose men wore skirts and ate the innards of butchered livestock mixed with oatmeal, and played ghastly tunes on an instrument made with leather bags and reeds. but still, they made one fine whiskey.

upon reaching Albion the group slaughtered and ate many men until stumbling upon the tribe they were after. the ogres learned the secrets of how to brew this fine malt, and a stroke of genius, and greed struck Argoth. he slaughtered the tribe and drank every barrel and bottle of the brew and returned home, the figure met in the pub now all but forgotten.

the tribe set up camp in the low lying valleys of mourn, near a few bogs, where they could harvest the peat for the fires to dry their grains and distill their masterpiece. it wasnt long before other ogres joined, and the tribe grew.

after hearing about the ogres new brew, the figure in the pub grew enraged, and gathered a small army to take back what he felt was rightfully his.

in the battle that ensued, Argoth and his tribe managed to protect his brew, but at great cost. the figure from the pub (found to be of dwarven race) was slain by Argoth himself, but before dying left Argoth with a scar across his right eye, rendering it useless. Argoth would always remember his greed by that scar.

Victorious, but few in number, Argoth led his tribe deep into the mountains of mourn. where the snow, ice, and terrain would deter even the most audacious of thief from observing the recipe of his sacred brew, only coming down to harvest peat, and sell their whiskey to the handful of merchants who were brave enough to navigate the bog and other ogre tribes.

it is now common for the tribe, in a drunken stupor, to load carts with the brew, and leave the mountains in search of wealth, flesh, and a good brawl. their numbers have grown, and with a new tyrant, Grotzerg, have grown war hungry, as infighting no longer amuses them.

TIME TO SMASH, DRINK & EAT!
Tribal Name - Meat Takers
Tribal Symbol - Skull set within the maw
Tyrant - Grugg Elfplucker

Background - Until recently the Meat Taker tribe was upon the cusp of destruction, led from one episode of misfortune to another by their then tyrant, the aptly named fat Urglruk the Cursed. There was many an minor inconvenience, such as the time mislabeled sacks of salt instead of sugar were added to an eagerly anticipated and ultimately unpleasant (but not as it turned out uneatable) demigryph crumble. But for every small piece of bad luck there was a matching slice of major calamity, such as the time their iron blaster misfired and managed to decapitate their last thundertusk.
Severely down on their heels and with their numbers dwindling due to desertion, accidents and cannibalism, things came to ahead for the tribe at the battle of the Ashen bend. Urglruk's scouts reported the sighting of a small band of dark elves approaching the ogre camp. Urglruk and his ravenous followers believed things were finally starting to go their way and rushed to attack the elves. Little did Urglruk know fate had two final kicks in store for him. The first was as they rushed the elves, he discovered his dimwitted scouts had merely seen what was the elven scouts. Drawing up behind them was a raiding party akin to a small army that vastly outnumbered the Meat Takers. As bloody battle was engaged, Urglurk then barked a crude challenge hoping to break their spirit by slaying their leader. That was the second disaster. The challenge was answered by an elven sorceress riding a jet black pegasus who flew straight at the bellowing tyrant and immolated him with bolt of pure dark magic. Their leader dead and vastly outnumbered, it looked like the end for the Meat Takers. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a young bruiser called Grugg changed the course of the battle. The elven sorceress was  still circling Ulgruk's smouldering remains when her maniacal laughter was cut short by giant fist closing around the fetlock of her flying steed. In one swift motion Grugg tore the pegasus' leg clean out of its socket and used it as a makeshift club to bludgeon the beast with as it plummeted to the ground. The pegasus' corpse fell on top of the sorceress,  pinning her in place as Grugg proceeded to eat the leg in his hand and then wrench out and devour one of its wings. The last thing the mangled witch saw was Grugg then reaching for her as plucked off and then devoured first her arms and then legs.
This single act turned the tide of the battle and the tribes fortunes. With Grugg as the new tyrant the only way is up!
