As I play CD, I can help ye out.

Things to avoid:

Hobgob blobs- Massed hobgob blobs can really slow you down so blunderbusses, warriors, and great axes can catch up.

Artillery- Earthshakers and Death Rockets will, for lack of better words, #$&! you up. Earthshakers half your movement and Death Rockets have insane tendencies to hit something 4D6" away from their target. Use gorgers, Yhetees, and trappers to counter them.

Taurus Lord- This dude is big, bad, and quite capable of going toe-to-toe with your tyrant. Since he can't join units, send a thundermace or tenderiser after him. He's WS 7 so don't expect easy hits. You will be hit on 3+ so watch out. Throw a hunter after him and use the harpoon launcher against him to cause several wounds on his mount.

Bull Centaurs- M8 Ld 9 critters tooled up to take on your core choices , send gnoblar screens to slow them down so Ironguts can get in and precede to splat them. However, they can have GW too, so they are not to be trucked with unless you don't mind being a slave in the name of Hashut.

If you know you're coming up against one of these beats, wouldn't a siegebreaker be a better choice? he may have Ws7 but I'm willing to bet good money that is stunyness doesn't have a comparable Initiative

Thanks
Corai
Ashamed I didn't think of it before, I've renamed my Pet Gnoblar's Hannibal, Face, B.A., Murdock and Sam & Al Quincy, Doctor Sloan and Horatio
You've got the point there Corai. I didn't even think of that. The thing is, he isn't that dangerous on foot. It's the taurus that makes him deadly. I belive he has I3 or possibly I4. One or the other.

The Lord is I4.
I wouldn't worry about Death Rockets, or even (despite their poison against your lightly armoured Ogres) Sneaky Gitz, because they mean that your opponent hasn't spent that Special Slot on a 2-4-1, 30 Point Bolthrower.

A truly cheezed-out Chaos Dwarf list will have a Sorcerer Lord (with Ld10!  icon_eek), 3 Sorcerers (all with max Dispel Scrolls), 8 Bolthrowers, 2 Earthshakers, 3 minimum units of Blunderbusses, and the rest naked Hobgoblins. There will be no way you can win without horrendous luck on his part.

So, yeah. Against a non-disgusting list, take Gorgers (who doesn't), Trappers (who doesn't), and maybe a Hunter. His Harpoon can prove useful against a Taurus, and the Sabretusks can rip up greenskins or warmachine crew.

Hur hur hur... I need to make a list based on that idea. Thanks Revlid! Oh... the fun I could have....  icon_twisted

Oh, and watch out fer the magical items I can pack 'gainst ye... Dark Mace of Death anyone? D3 wounds caused on all base contact opponents with no armor saves allowed.... Or the High Tauren with the Black Hammer and Gauntlets of Bazrakhh, a S8 monster that hits on 4+ and wounds on 2+s! HAH!

Something I neglected to mention, is that CD may take DOW, so watch out for Ogres if your opponent is running Maneaters, IG, or even Bulls. The Lore of Shadow places some nasty spells on ogres- causing Terror, and extra move/charge in magic phase...

As you should Grey as I am gunning for yah boyo!

But really the big problem is CD plays the panic game really well so you have two choices.
1. Hide and go fro the 10-10
2. Push forward and face the fire and hope you dont panic off the board.

Gorgers and scouts are a must IMO in this matchup.  Leave Fang at home as they are easy points
Sounds like a need to go with a very focused list. ..Skragg with 9 Gorgers and Yhetees or Maneaters.
Yhetees are probably a bad idea since pretty much everything Chaos Dwarf is flaming. Gorgers, on the other hand, should give the CD player some problems...
