Hi,
never played Ogres before, but as Dark Elves have become a bit dull I was lured over towards a bit of brute force. So I decided on the Ogre Kingdoms pretty quickly, but made myself the promise that I would paint what I have before getting more models with ogres (as I'm drowning under unpainted DE models).
With that in mind I kicked my tribe off with a Battalion, Slaughtermaster, Sabretusks and Tyrant, which should cover me for around 1000pts. So far I've got hold of my SM and Sabretusks
Still waiting on the bulk of my Ogres to turn up.
I thought I'd log my Ogres progress here for a couple of reasons. First, so I can look back over how and what I've done. Second so I can get some feedback from you guys. Thirdly, to try and keep myself motivated to paint, not just buy models, play games and never finish them.
I've now painted my two Sabretusks. Based in The Fang, layered up with Dawnstone, Rakarth Flesh and final white highlights. The mane I left based in The Fang then brushed over with white (first pic). I wasn't happy and the model looked very flat, although it actually looks better in the pic than it did in real life. So I brushed over the white on the mane with Hoeth Blue (last pic) and the model looks much better for it IMO. Oh, the bases aren't finished in these pics. I can't paint them up until the PVA sets properly, it's easy but slow.

When's dinner?
Hopefully have some Ogres to share by the weekend.
