The Frostbite Tribe

I have played OK now for a year. I had a theme planned for my ogres before I bought them. Snow and frost were the thing I wanted to aim at. I am not a good painter, but I guess I have made a decent quality so far.

What I have generally (painted and based unless told otherwise):

1 Hunter (based and cround-coated)
2 SM/butcher/firebelly (conversions from bull and IG)
1 BSB (conversion from IG)
1 Thundertusk
2 Sabretusks
8 Bulls
7 Bulls (cround-coated)
7 IG's
1 IG (cround-coated and painted)
2 Gorgers
6 MFc (soon ready)
1 IB (painted)
8 Leadbelchers (cround-coated)

I have few upcoming tournaments and keeping a hasty phase here to get 2400p ready and running. I will post pictures , of ready Frostbite, hopefully before christmas

  I did have no idea...Well, mayby we can run the same "colours" I believe you had the name first. Good thing "locating" Frostbites elsewhere is ok to you

There are bound to be a lot of duplicate tribe names, so sticking to the same theme or colours with all "Frostbiters" would be impossible. Just go with what your GUT tells you.
I chose it because I wanted a tribe name that could unify wolves, ice/snow theme, a hint at the blue skintone (purple for MEs) and the Great Maw that they worship (a giant frost/ice dragon), without emphasizing too much on either part but would still make sense when you look at the symbol (my avatar). (and it gives quite a gruesome mental image if you think about it ^^)
The name of my Tyrant (Frothgaar the Mountain King (Froth -> Rabies -> Wolf)) was something that I submitted to Warhammer Joey (as part of my support for the Indiegogo campaign) to name her Malifaux Ice Golem (so there's even a video with her stating the name).

I use "food" soda or is it bicarbonate (?) and glue (the cheap one used only for wood to wood). I mix those two and after it is in place, I put some more soda on it.

Thanks Payne! It really works. It does take long time to harden so you got lot of time to work with it. Put when it does set up, its really hard. A Very cheap recipe. I kind a messed too much with it in the pictures above  My ogres look like there are no details on them..

So next on the list I have 6-7 bulls to be converted and painted as ME's and 8 leadies to paint. Also, my cousing bougth me (as joke and christmas present at the same time) a TT/SH model. So another mammoth may be coming up some day.

I did lose to Skaven totally by my own fault and I got totally crushed by VC's yyber vampire lord + lots of ethereal -list. Then I crushed Dark Elves, but the list my opponent was using was kind of one dimensional. And just few days ago, I got the better of that insane VC's list! Man, that game was intense and fun. The fun part most important. I am still "perfecting" my list after every test, but it is becoming very solid. And the tournament is not that far away

No that I have a stonehorn too, I cant help putting together a army that has MFc, ME's, IG's and stonehorn Pure attack. Could be fun to play as it would be the quite opposite to my usual Dwarf tournament list (pure gunline usually).

So much to do with the ogres, but next in the line should be painting thorek and one grudge thrower.

For the baking soda method mix white paint with it as the soda tends to yellow fairly fast

Well, it does not look forever like it had just been raining down from the sky. But mine still looks authentic in a way. It pretty much depends of how much u use soda in the mix with the glue. And it is almoust a must to put some extra soda on the mix when it is on base. One thing to mention, I dont have a proper white and skill to use it

Played a turney few weeks back. 5 games and results (my points first): 10-0 skaven (points from the first game were halved), 10-10 delfs, 10-10 BoC, 7-13 delfs, 0-20 VC. So, it started great, went on decent and finished badly.

In second and third game I faced a really good players and hold the initiave trough the whole game. BoC game could have gone much worse for me. 10-10 game agaist delfs was all my fault making it a draw! My turn 2, I sniped his lvl sorceress with IB! Turn 3, my TT hit stone in his some 30 spearmen and made them panic off the board..along with his another sorceress! From that point on, I shoud have just stayed in my zone and pick him more apart. But what did I do! I fed my TT to his shades, run my IG's along characters to his corsair horde and exposed my MF's back to his pendant carrying pegasus. Corsairs (had 2 assassins with stars in) shot something 4-5 guts down before CC. Somehow I won that CC after two rounds..

My fourth game (delfs) was a s**** game. I'm no beast when it comes to rules or tactics, but this dude was. The thing was, that he was even more about victory of any kind. And cheated a bit there and here. Christ.. Well, I learn a lot from that game and no hard feelings In my last game I had a great oppoturnity. I deployed my IG's and TT in corner and bulls with MF to middle. Because of terrain he had no other choice than run his black knights, with 3 vampires (one lord) and a choul king, to my trap He only had gheist to support his bus, but that was scared by my IB. So, I even got the first turn and my IB blows up and panics MF of the table. We played to the point his bus got me good..


Been a bit of with modeling. Converting 8 bulls to ME's and trying to progress with my old 8 leadies.
