slaughter master model question

Hey guys, quick question.  I currently am painting my ogres and at the moment i have an ogre i converted to a butcher, but i really want a sexy SM model and was wondering what people thought about the Scibor SM alternative.  I think it looks nice.  Otherwise i was just going to use skrag as my SM model, lol.  Thoughts?

The scibor SM is a nice sculpt but I think from when it came out and the general consensus was mixed. Some loved him others not so much. Me.. I'm not too fond of the way the arms and hands look. He looks a little like he can't move and is inflated rather than fat. The face also looks a little in pain rather than scary or mad. I love scibors work but not the SM if I'm honest.

Yea, I hear you,  I am on the side the loves it.  I ended up getting ti for $25 shipped, so it was a good deal...now I have lots of fun things to paint and something that not everyone has!

Skragg as a butcher is a nice idea... i personally wouldnt even change his face.

Butcher model is not all that bad either, there's just a few head that are pathetic.

If you are going to go with an alternate (non-GW) slaughtermaster model, then my favorite would have to be the Geuele d'Acier by Ilyad Games.  I first saw it in Wildcard's army and had to get one for myself.  Now he sits on my craft desk, ready to be assembled and painted.  He will hopefully look something like this when completed (what you can't see is the myriad of knives, hooks, a tenderizer mallet, and bottle of hot sauce he has attached to the back of his belt):

Metal and OOP.... pretty expensive too on ebay.

He's resin and OOP (the company that made them went out of business a few years ago).  I think the look and detail of the model is simply amazing.  Mine came from eBay for $127 (US), so yes quite expensive.

Ilyad had quite a few magnificient sculpts, quite a shame that they no longer exist.

Personally, I use Bragg as one Butcher with Great Weapon, and have a converted Slaughtermaster with Lore of Heavens. Lore of Beasts/Death will follow some time, just need a bit of inspiration and a few ideas.

ah that one. He is sorta nurglish but I like him. I just find i cant bring myself to use none GW, not out of some sort of loyalty but out of the fact I'd like to use my ogres at things like ard boyz
