Several tweaks and additions have been made to the website over the last few weeks, here's a list of most of the changes:
Profiles
- Your Tribe's name now appears to the left of your forum posts, provided you have added a Tribe name to your profile.
- You can now add a Gnoblog link to your profile, and if you do you'll see a little clickable Gnoblog button appear to the left of your forum posts:
- Sig image restrictions added to prevent overly large images in forum signatures.
Member Ranks
- Gnoblar group added for those of you who have a fondness of the little blighters. Joining this group reverts your member rank back to "Gnoblar", and gives you a single green Maw symbol:
You can leave this group at any time if you'd like to return to your regular rank. Click here for more info.
- Maneater group added. This group is for Thinling News bots only, and cannot be joined.
News
- Twitter widget added to the News page, displaying the 10 most recent Stronghold tweets.
- Stronghold YouTube and Twitter accounts linked. When a video is added to the Stronghold's favourites, a notification will be automatically tweeted.
- Video Updates forum topic created. When a YouTube video is added to the Stronghold's favourites, a notification will be automatically posted.
- News feeds added to the Thinling News forum section: Games Workshop (What's New Today), The Bad Dice Podcast, The Waaagh Cast, Heelanhammer and Podhammer. Relevant avatars and website links added to news feed bots' profiles.
Smileys
- New Tribe added to the animated forum smileys, sourced from Rengels.de. A few of the new guys:
Gallery
- Work In Progress gallery has returned.
- Other Pics gallery added.
- Some additional images added to various gallery sections, with a lot more to come!
Pet Gnoblars
- I'd like to see more of these passed around, so I've reduced the number of posts required to award Pet Gnoblars.
- The Pet Gnoblar Guide and Records topics have been merged so that everything 'Pet Gnoblar' can be found in one place.
- The "+1" link to add Pet Gnoblars was occasionally being missed or clicked by accident as it wasn't very clear as to what it was, so now the link reads "+1 Gnoblar".
The Bellower
- Zipped versions of each Bellower issue now available, as some members had issues with downloading the PDF files.
- Dedicated Webzines and Podcasts forum section removed as it was a bit hidden away and lacked discussion. From now on new issues of the Bellower will be discussed in the Feeding Grounds forum section, and other webzines and podcasts can be discussed in Thinling Realms or Thinling News forum sections.
- Bellower Q&A topic stickied in the Feeding Grounds.
Ogre Name Generator
As mentioned earlier today, the Ogre Name Generator is now live!
