I never bothered to name my tribe, or even consider fluff, but the Lumbria campaign sparked an interest for fluff.
My tribe is the Ironboot Tribe, solely mercenary and walk, hence the name Ironboot, from land to land selling their services to the highest paymaster. The tyrant, Groff Elfstomper has recently funded his own campaigns.
The second in command is Varig Bloodgut, the tribes slaughtermaster, being handpicked my Groff to assume the title. Groff suspected the prior slaughtermaster of plotting against him, so Groff took blood cleaver from the slaughtermaster, cut him up with it and handfed the bloody dismembered parts to Varig.

My tribe is the Titanbane tribe, famous for the copious number of slave giants it maintains (and eats of course mmm... giant...), a pseudo-history for them is on the fluff forum

Mine is the Cult of Hyrka, who is an ancient Ogre war-god, who was the chief figure in Ogre religion before the coming of the Great Maw. Basically this is a small enclave consisting of great warriors, who dominate legions of slaves, all under rulership of Ghworg Kineater, Kill-Lord, Cult Tyrant and Stonefist-Smasher. Oh yes, and the cult also boasts the finest vegetable chefs in the Warhammer World (or would if they weren't so secretive).

I'm in the process of thinking of a name for my tribe/clan. On the 3 Bulls I have painted I have the Maw teeth painted like flames with another flame painted in the center of their gut plates. I was thinking of something like the The Maw of Fire, The Fire Eaters, The Burning Bellies. Something to that affect. Any other suggestions. I'm also working on some fluff for them too and a name for my Tryant.

My tribe is 'The Blessed of the Maw.' Led by Muss the Mawseeker,(anyone seen 'Once were Warriors'?) They are dark skinned with a duo of butchers, lots of everything bar Scraplauncher, Yhetees, BRR's and Slave Giants.
My army diary is "Khailes Marauders of the Foothills", but I changed my fluff halfway through it lol
And the Fire Eater Tribe is done by Puggimer I believe. Nice army that is.

Does anyone here have problems with their fluff? I always seem to discard mine within about three weeks of creating it.

Ghworg,
That's funny... discarding fluff... I tend to do it all the time. In fact, awhile back in this very thread, I mention the Eye Splinters, but then want to redo it, something different.
In posts in the Armies diaries section, you can find some fluff and progress with the "Bear-sons of the Blue Gorge"...
What's funny, now that my army is complete, painted and ready to go (updates in the diaries soon...), I'm back to the Eye Splinters.. it's just silly. Although I'm keeping some of the fluff from the Bear sons...
I change my ideas about fluff quite frequently, but I seldom just completely scrap an idea... I usually just change certain parts, or somehow have different outlook towards some of it. At least then, I haven't totally wasted time on ideas that only get tossed. I usually just change things and tinker with details.
I hope that helps!

Borog the Son Eater12 Sep 2006
My tribe, the Son Eaters derive their name from their disturbing (even by ogre standards) of allowing the winner of a "Guts Out" challenge the option of eating the losers eldest son
Ghworg12 Sep 2006
My new tribe is called the Mawguard. However, nothing much else about them has changed.

My tribe is called "The Shark Eaters", they eat warp tainted sharks meat given to them from Skaven. I have some of my heros and unit champions modeled with sharks teeth sticking out of them like a mutation.

My Tribe is the Hell Tribe. The great Helltyrant Diablo leads his Urdars, Blunderbores, and Gorebellies into battle in the name of the Great Maw!
You've played diablo 2 too much though i was looking at some of the monsters for conversions especially the demon catapults
my army is growing

Fists of Fury tribe!
When the Great Maw hit, they fled into Cathay instead of going with all the other tribes, and found sanctuary in the monastery of some reclusive monks (I really should not have been using plastic glue before coming up with my fluff).
Tim the Tyrant walked across the land, looking for a meal. When he spied a young boy selling a pot of treacle. Now Tim could not have that stand a pass up of a meal, So Tim ate the boy up and left the pot of treacle!

MY budding tribe is The Middle Finger Tribe
Got its name from from the current tyrant Zaramoth the skinny who spent his past years fighting with his band in the Chaos realms and by some affliction disease or mutation they lost their body mass and just got skinny (My tyrant is based on the Champion chaos ogre and the ironguts are the rest of the crew . I just love those models they look more ogre like to me ) but also got tough as hell but sometimes just stops to stare at nothing some say its because of the real horrors faced in the chaos waste (mawseeker big name) Anyway on his return to his clan they were rediculed and made fun of by the then still alive Tyrant. So Zaramoth's only option was to challange the offending tyrant to regain his honour and respect but during the ensuing battle Zaramoth slipped and fell and was almost gutted out by the fatter ogre when in one last act of diffence Zaramoth stuck out his his hand up and by pure incident his middle finger got stuck in the fat one's behind. The tyrant was so shocked at this violations of intimacy that he twisted slightly to detach himself from the abuse and that time Zaramoth took the opportunity to nail the fatter tyrant with the huge spike he has as on his shoulder armour.
From that day Zaramth became undisputed ruler and in respect for his so cunning vesatile move each time he goes to battle he shows the opposing army the long protruded middle finger in meaning wats gonna get to them once they lose to him.
Thats the end of the story and sorry for being lame and weak but if you read it then you really have time to spare.
Cheers
