Wildcard's Ogres - The Army of the Stronghold!

original thread ↗

It's about time.

Do you guys realize how long its been since I painted an ogre?

Do you guys realize that outside of my comedy weird house ogres you've not really seen "normal" ones from me in ages?

I realized it - and I'm setting up this thread to rectify it.

My Ninjogre project is basically dead in the water - with the Paradigm Shift Project well underway I feel I need to repaint/recreate my models in order for them to match my new ideas.

The "paradigm" ideas I've had so far basically stomp on the ninja theme with large boots - leaving me without a real clue on a theme for this new ogre army.

Then I thought - do I really need one?  shouldn't I just try to paint normal ogre models really well instead?

Now:

I'm not totally set on having a "normal" ogre army, so if anyone has a cool theme idea, let me know.  However I am set on having the skintone from the artwork for the bruiser in the army book - in the artwork the skin is almost chalk white with blue undertones and so this is what I want.

I also want the army to showcase the ogre models as much as possible so I'll be wysiwyging all the characters with all their upgrades, using a BSB, using one of each of the 6 different maneater models, etc. to try and get a real ogre kingdoms feel.

what do you guys think?

Oh, the list?

alright then:

1   Tyrant
   heavy armour
   brace of handguns
2   sword gnoblars
   cathayan longsword
   greyback pelt
   beastkiller
3   gnoblar thiefstones

1   Bruiser
   BSB
   heavy armour
1   lookout gnoblar
2   sword gnoblars
   sword of might

1   Bruiser
   heavy armour
   ironfist
   brace of handguns
   greedy fist
   wyrdstone necklace
1   luck gnoblar
2   sword gnoblars

1   Bruiser
   tenderiser
   heavy armour
   brace of handguns
2   sword gnoblars

3   Bulls

3   Bulls

21   Gnoblar Fighters

21   Gnoblar Fighters

9   Gnoblar Trappers

3   Leadbelchers

3   Maneaters
   heavy armour
   brace of handguns

3   Maneaters
   heavy armour
   brace of handguns

But I'll also be doing a butcher and some ironguts to keep all the options open for the force, as well as more bulls than I currently have just in case.  The above, though, looks like it will fill the core of my force.

I have the ninja ogre tyrant, the Ltd. bruiser and my current tenderiser tyrant that can all be repainted in teh new scheme with a respray, as well as a couple of my favourite bulls, but most of the rest will be redone from scratch and the entire army will be rebased as well.

all comments and crits welcoms guys - fire away! :)

What about a DOW themed army? With ogres from all over the place? This means you can have many different themes in the same army AND you can use some of your ninja ogres too! ;)

The Ogre models are really cool, that's why I didn't do a theme to them , just a few conversions.

The list?
I love Gnoblars and have only ever once not included them in a list, I like 4 more in each unit though.

Everything looks pretty solid, it's very combat orientated which is nice with some support shooting to help pick off the annoying stuff.

I know you've already had a barrage of theme ideas from me, but how about one more:

-The Ogre Stronghold. There's already established (albeit not official) fluff about it and it would allow you to name and theme some of the ogres after your favourite posters. Lead of course by the over-tyrant Hragged (it would also allow the 3 bruisers to get mod inspired conversion ;)). Also, till fits in with making the most of the actual ogre models, as you wouldn't really be changing the look of the army, so much as imposing specific characteristics on certain models

Thanks
Corai

TOTAL GENIUS!!!!!!

Would anyone be offended by this?  I can thing of a few posters who will be the gnoblars already :)

I wonder how I could theme us?

Hragged - gotta be bigger and more imposing somehow - but are their any little characteristics I can give it?

Corai - gotta have blue on the model somewhere

Ikim - ?????

Wildcard - ?????

Reg06 - ?????

one of us will have to be the BSB and another a butcher (as I will be doing one just in case 3 bruisers really doesn't work out).

maneaters - key posters or faces here at the stronghold - again I'm not sure how to represent them in ogre form other than just to name them in my head

bulls and belchers - normal ogres of the tribes

gnoblars - posters that annoy me :) (only joking......or am I??)

That would be fun.
You could look at most of them in their gnoblogs to find their specific or signature colours.
You could also ask the member what they'd be like and the idea what they should look like in an ogre form.
For example:
The member Malekith as a gnoblar with The witchkings head on it in stead of a gnoblar's head.

And of course their name should be on the base.

You should totally go for it. The 'Ogre Stronghold' army is an ace idea, and even better, you already have an established logo for it :D

I would say to make most forum members into Ironguts or Bulls rather then Gnoblars though.

It'd be neat with little conversions and modified colour schemes to fit each poster. e.g. Corai the Bruiser with his Blue hat :D

the stronghold logo would have to be on the BSB's banner :)

I think most members will be ogres - gnoblarhood beckons for a few though....

I'll be using the basic models for everything (only major conversion work will have to be the BSB as I want a new big-ass flag for us) - I'll have to decide thaen which member best fits which model.

I almost pity the one who gets the female maneater :D

Let the people who'd like to be in your army call it in and let them call the model they want to be, and maybe an idea of their own conversions, which makes it more personal.

not sure yet Lexy - I'm not sure that special rules would apply :)

on progress - I've started work on a new BSB today - I'm using an old "tyrant with 2 weapons and head to the side" model that we are all familiar with.

I've cut off the sword in the left hand and drilled through the fist - I've used some strong metal wire which I've fed through the hole which will be the pole for the army battle standard.

the angle is slightly tilted forwards, so I've countered that by basing on slanted slate so that the banner in now almost vertical as a result :)

the crossbar of the banner is something I'll be wanting to detatch for trasport/storage and that'll have the flag attactched.  I'll probably use the same metal wire to make it, but need to figure out how to attach the two somehow.

for the flag itself I'll be using leatherette - cut into bits and stitched together by yours truly to represent the skins from several rhinox being used to get the flag to the correct ( and gigantic) size.  I'll then be colouring and drawing the stronghold logo on it.

I hope to get the basic work done on that today.

basically its leather-effect fabric - often used for covering chairs and the like.  The wife had some cream-coloured stuff hanging about and it looks hide-like enough to be suitable and I didn't want plastic :)

also, I've been firming up a bit of the fluff for the stronghold:

As we all know, the stronghold is a huge, hollowed-out mountain inhabited by ogres - although we get many visitors from lots of tribes, and from thinlings looking to hire.  As a result the culture on the stronhold is something of a melting pot - but at its core are the ogres of the stronghold themselves - the ogres of the original tribe who maintain order in the cave systems and have a high respect amoungst their bretheren.

Any ogre can elect to foresake their tribe and join the stronghold by swearing an oath of allegience to Hragged and undergoing trails to prove they are worthy - and this attitude, one not common in ogre tribes, is one of the main sources of the power of Overtyrant Hragged.

Hragged views Greasus Goldtooth as an upstart - a pretender to the title of overtyrant.  Both of these mighty ogres have massive sway over ogre politics, such as they are, as both represent different ogre ideals - where Greasus is appetite personified with his massive gut and greed for wealth, Hragged respresent pure strength!  Hragged can perform feats of strength that no other ogre can match even in boast!  He has been known to throw bull rhinox as far as a scraplauncher can throw its junk and he has, on more than one occassion, brought down a mammoth with his bare hands!  It is said that his strength is linked to the mountain of the stronghold itself and that if one were to fail, so would the other.

There is much speculation on the result of a pit fight between the overtyrants, but one thing is for certain, such a confrontation would rock ogre society to its core.

Key points:

Hragged the overtyrant leads

All natural-born ogres of the stronghold have pale white skin due to all the cave dwelling

Being a central hub of ogre society they attract ogres from all tribes and have a thriving gnoblar population - being a cosmapoliton place, lots of cultural influences mesh.

yhetees patrol the upper slopes of the stronghold and are summoned by a great mammoth-tusk horn, blown when the stronghold goes to war.

gorgers are kept in pits and those who displease Hragged or his Subordiantes get thrown to them - they are not generally release in times of war, but may have found their own ways out of the cave network to follow the smell of fresh-spilt blood.

the watered down devalan mud was tries and worked really well :)  I've also poked some holes into the fabric and "weathered" the edges of the flag to make it look more ogrey.

I have built 3 bulls today for this army (minor conversions such as ironfist hand swaps and using bits from the leadbelcher and irongut sprues to give them some different positioning) that I'm happy with - 6 more to go as I want 12 in total for the new army possibilities. (I'm keeping only 3 of my previous bulls for this).

I've also built up all the gnoblars necessary for the force.

I'm going for "phrenzy" white ogres and use charndon granite and grey for the gnoblars.

I'll be using red as a focal colour on all of the models too.

I've set to sort a colour for the tattoos/warpaint though (blue has been overdone to my mind and I need another idea).

If you are making the ogres a white-ish colour, how about black tatoos? It would contrast greatly, causing them to stand out. Mind you, Lexy's idea is likely the better one.

I was going to use the red as a highlight colour.  certain parts of gutplates, etc.

Tattoos in red could well be good - it will provide a strong contrast.

If you look at the colours of the forum itself (the text, borders, etc.) - those are the colours I'll be using to paint the army :)

That's okay, but I'd take a more strong red, then the red of the forum.

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.

And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.
sorry for the lack of pics guys - I'll try and remedy that soon.

progress:

well, I've converted the BSB and tyrant now and am happy with the results.  I've also built 3 more ogre bulls (I wanted some new poses) and applied the skintone basecoat (dhenb stone) to a butcher (using the black moon chronicles alternative model) and to 3 of the maneaters (paymaster, pirate and ninja).  I'll be working up the skintone on these 4 models tomorrow and begin on their clothing, etc. after that.

I also need to spray chaos black on the Battle standard and the 6 bulls tomorrow so that I can also make headway on those.

I think I'll be trying to get these done, as well as the woodies, before the end of March.

undercoat - chaos black
basecoat - dhenb stone washed with devlan mud
1st layer - kommando khaki
2nd layer - bleached bone
highlight - bleached bone+skull white (1:1 mix)
extreme highlight - skull white

so far I'm happy-ish with the results - but until I get one model totally finished I won't know for sure.

slight change to the above skin recipe - I wasn't happy with the finish so gave it another light wash of devlan mud over the top - this has given the models a nice "earthy" tone that, although its not as pale as I originally intended, is rather nice so I'm keeping it :)

3 maneaters are about halfway through, as is the tyrant.

I'm hoping to have 3 more bulls and the maneaters done by the end of today and to get the gnoblars done by wednesday - leaving 3 maneaters, the leadbelchers and the tyrant, bruiser and BSB to finish later.

I've been quiet on here for six days now, mainly because I've been painting this army like a looney! :)

In this time (while working full time for 4 days and ahving a parent's evening and 2 boys) I've managed to complete (paint, base, flock, etc.)

6 bulls
3 leadbelchers
3 maneaters (ninja, pirate and paymaster)
1 butcher
1 tyrant (not quite finished just yet)
8 trappers

leaving me only 3 maneaters, 1 bruiser, 1 BSB and 50 gnoblars to go.  I'm aiming to have completed all 2000 points within the next 4 days (so by Monday).

One small sticking point - in the gnolbar units I've decided I want a 40mm "filler" in each, but I've no idea what to do for them.

things I've rules out:

1) a pile of meat (did that with gutmass' sleigh)
2) a pile of scrap (just don't think it'd look good)

but any ideas from you guys????

Wildcard,

You could have a couple gnoblars fighting each other and another watching.  I did that on a couple of the 40mm fillers I have for my Cooksnatcher Tribe gnoblars.  On a few others I used spare barrels and another gnoblar or two in a relevant pose to suggest they were bringing some 'refreshment' for their masters, and even making use of it.  I am not sure if I have any pictures of them on my gnoblog, but I could take some pictures when I get home this afternoon and post them for your reference, if that would help.

Wildcard,

Here are some pictures of my filler gnoblars at their current stage of painting/assembly:

If you look closely at the piggy back gnoblar, the bottom gnoblar is holding an ale mug for the top gnoblar.  Also, the gnoblar holding the broken bottle has an ale mug in its other hand.

Fairly basic filler, but it meant painting one or two less gnoblars than needed.
thanks for the pics :)  I like the barrel ones especially and might well give those a go!

I offically hate gnoblars again though - I've been spending today's SGC club painting them and after 2 hours have the skin basecoats, clothing basecoats and metallic basecoats done on 1 unit - all that time for only 50 points.....grr...but I'm persevering and will be trying to get the unit fillers built and the first unit finished tonight - If I can also get the second unit underway that'd be great so that I can finish it tomorrow and press on with the other maneaters and the tenderiser bruiser.

I'll be saving the battle standard bearer to last (hopefully sunday, if not it'll be monday) to complete the army - if I make the deadline of monday that'll be 2000 points in 10 days!

I've decided to also do some rhinox riders in the same tones so that'll mean repainting 3 of them (can't afford to buy more new ones - 9 are enough I think!) and possibly a second butcher jsut in case anyone ever gets shirty about my "non-GW" one.

I am pretty sure BigD had some great Gnoblar unit fillers: http://ogrestronghold.com/forum/index.php?topic=4416.255

Maybe you could draw some inspiration from that?

I made a really simple unit filler by making the piggy-back ones joust (is this the correct usage of the word? :?). :P

thanks for the thoughts - I couldn't decide on what to do though and really wanted to press on, so I've just painted 8 more gnoblars (4 for each unit) instead :)

I've finished the painting on the first 25 and have only a highlight and a wash to do on the last 25 - and then to flock them all - to have finished 50 gnoblars in a day :)

I'm feeling fed up with them though - it'll be a relief to get back to the ogres tomorrow.

also, I'm giving myself a little change for tomorrow and will be painting a couple of small models from other armies (VC lord on foot and WE highborn on foot) to give my eyes a break :)

but critique is just as welcome :)

I like to try and keep models to a limited palette on these models I have

red
brown
beige
off white (rotting flesh)
metal
brass (some alternative metal)
grey (fur)

I specifically stayed away from anything brighter or stronger as I wanted the grey of the bases to pop a little more and also I wanted a gritty feel - hence the use of washes quite extensivly.  I might think about popping some of the fur upto white though, perhaps the contrast will help it even more....

the mace on the BSB looks less shiny IRL as its been washed and dulled down somewhat to make it more grimy.  Again, I didn't want to suddenly introduce a new colour here as it would have broken the theme.

keeping the gnoblars uniform was another consicous choice, I wanted red on every model in the army somewhere and realistically the jackets of the gnoblars was the only feasible apporach to this.

I'll check out the shading depths on some things, thanks for the tip :)

"skragg" has progressed as projected and is almost done - the base just needs flocking and painting really - as well as a few highlights to pep him up a little.

I've decided to rebase 2 gorgers to match the rest of the army too (just as I did my 6 yhetees) so although they aren't neede yet, I'll have options for the future.

right - butcher finihsed, and gorgers too.  I'll try and get some pics tomorrow.

I've taken a little of the advice that Manowar gave and taken all fur on the ogres up to white to add a little more contrast here and there.  It hasn't detracted from my grungyness that I wanted and has given me a little more contrast here and there.

well, time to add a little more (maw?) to the army - I've fished out my 4 "scraplaunchers" (snotling pump wagons with helstorm and hellblasters mounted on them) and am determined to get them painted up - along with 9 ironguts and another butcher.

This is more a case of having options once again as I'll be able to do the "standard" build as well as the "paradigm" build with the new paint scheme then.

Rather than repaint my ironguts though I'll be building from scratch - the butcher will be a repaint/rebase but I've not decided on which model yet....

I'm going to rebase "hellgut" andd his sabretusks to match as well, although he won't be repainted.  The tusks will get a new paint scheme though to try and bring them inline with the tyrant's gutplate version.

again, that'll give me a hunter for options too.

overall it'll bring the army of the stronghold to 4500 points which is nearly enough.

Looking forward to seeing those scraplaunchers!
well, a quick trip to warhammer world gained me my 2 boxes of ironguts which I'm building now - the 9th is simply cobbled together from my bitz box.

its too gusty to undercoat outside today, so I'll have to leave that until tomorrow and cross my fingers for slightly better weather.

the scrappies are undercoated however and I might get stuck into these tonight, along with a butcher......I know which model I want to bring into my tribe, but I feel a little bit awkward about doing it

explanation: I bought corai's change eaters from him ages ago, but they've been languishing in boxes ever since and getting no play (mainly as I don't like using a model I haven't painted myself).  I'm considering repainting skyron himself for the army of the stronghold.

anyway, that decision isn't made yet.

well, the ironguts are well underway now - basecoats done and washes about to start.

I've had some good news from the organisers of the GWAC campaign weekend - my ironface butcher will be fine for use :D

Now with all the extra models I'm in a quandry over the 4 lists I need to build - I'll have to think more on them all.

what I'll have to work with are:

1 tyrant
2 bruisers
3 butchers

6 bulls
9 ironguts
50 gnoblar fighters
8 trappers

2 scraplaunchers (I'm being conservative here, I might get 4 finished but...)
3 leadbelchers
6 yhetees

2 gorgers
6 maneaters
3 rhinox riders

and a 750, 1000, 2000 and 2500 list to build.

Got any WIP pics? i love the swords :)
its not a conversion (I wish my sculpting skills and avaliable time were such!) - its a resin model.  The model was made for a small french games company that went bust a few years ago.  The model comes in 3 parts - the hands/sword at the wrists simply join to the rest of the body.

You can still find the model sometimes online - and I have another one sealed here just in case.

And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.

over 9000!!!! (had to be done)
Up from the depths! :D

8th edition will be, for me, the edition of the ogres!  I'm fully determined to take the ogre army back by the scruff of its neck and help forge it, as much as possible, into a top class army on the tabletop!

I'm reopening this gnoblog, rather than make ogre updates part of the wreality check, as I feel its better fitting now that I've put all other projects behind me.

So, where am I going with this?

well - first jobs are, of course, list building and painting ;)

To get the army ready for 8th edition battles I'll need to paint:

2 slavegiants
2 scraplaunchers
6 bulls
1 irongut standard bearer
5 leadbelchers

and I'm planning on adding 3 more FW rhinox riders as well.

I have the models all built and undercoated and have been using them as they are for test games at my club, but seeing unpainted ogres is beginning to really get on my nerves, so tomorrow, painting begins!

I've spent the day refining lists at 2000, 2250, 2500 and 2999 points (the 4 levels I think I'll be most-often playing at), and this evening I sort out all my paints/brushes and painting area (its been a while since I've put brush to model after all).

One other job will be some rebasing work (flock has come off some of the bases in the corners of some models) and a little battle damage repair will also have to happen.

so, I guess that'll do as a re-introduction post.  As well as starting the painting I have a 2999 game planned against empire at the club.

I'll get back to you tomorrow with an update.

well another battle done - so far my 8th ed experience has been:

dwafs at 2500
beastmen at 2500
warriors of chaos at 2999
dark elves at 2999
empire at 2999

what I've found out from my last game was:

cannons are very nasty (my opponent brought 3 and a volley gun) - they can certainly take chunks out of units - but they can't kill units.  They can kill giants, very quickly.

an unbreakable slaughtermaster with a bloodcleaver isn't going anywhere :D

a unit of 7 ironguts with tyrant and BSB owns the board - got charged by kurt helborg and 9 inner circle knights, tyrant challenged and killed kurt taking no wounds, BSB and ironguts did for most of the rest.  Got them all in my turn.
THis unit then got into a horde of halbadiers with warrior priest and BSB - ate that and reformed (very important that reform!) and charged a unit of 30 greatsword with warrior priest - and ate that too!  I still have an irongut alive at the end of it and both characters were unharmed.  This imcluded pot shots from cannons.

reforms in combat and at the end of combat are vital and musn't be overlooked

6 bulls doesn't seem like enough

giants don't like cannons - or volley guns.

scrappies are still awesome and can take on units by themselves, but need support to get through them.

Agreed, I've been using units of 9 for some redundancy, with supporting 6's.

Not loving Guts at the min TBH, finding Bulls to be better casue of the cheapness, will have to try a unit of 9.

I think I'll be writing lists using blocks of 9 as a matter of course from now on - even if it means less blocks.

Ironguts are expensive, but that S6 is good - wounds on a 2+ against most enemy troops making every hit count, and having a 5+ armour save can also be valuable.

I could drop them, but I'd only do it for maneaters :)

Blocks of 9 are good, but less units can cost from my experience.

My latest list uses 2 blocks of 9 and 2 of 6 (that incluses charcacters joining units), going for a bit of a Bull horde

Wow my list is turning out to look a lot like your list also.  Here a few things that I jump out at me as differences and I wanted to get your take on them.

1.  No Halfling Cookbook.  Are you taking wounds from gut magic and healing them right away with Bloodgruel or just letting your butcher/SM be a couple wounds down when he enters combat and hoping he lives to swing his bloodcleaver?

2. No Dispel Scroll.  Like I said, my list is very similar, but I basically swap one giant for another butcher so i can double up buffs and have another arcane item slot - which is usually taken up by a scroll.  Do you find a need for a dispel scroll so far in your trial games?  Maybe I am a little too worried about losing the magic phase when I know it doesnt have the potential of being as one-sided as it often was in 7th edition.

I too am taking one unit of 6ish Ironguts with runemaw to bunker my Slaughtermaster(on 2nd rank) and BSB.  Have you found that this unit draws a lot of the attention in turns 1 & 2?  I really am throwing them out there in hopes that they will take the brunt of magic missiles and shooting so that my naked bulls can have free reign.  I am hoping that just the threat of ironguts will be what makes them worth that nutty almost 50 point cost.
i think a dispel scroll is required to dispel ini-test kind of spell... those are way too strong to risk failing.

its something I'll consider, but I'm not sure its necessary yet.

i guess it all depend on what you play against...

here i play about 95% of my games against Skaven, Empire, Dwarf and Beastman... so i kind of learn to play against those...

purple sun (or whatever the name) and Crack's call.... ouch.

so far I've played against:

dwarfs
beastmen (using death)
WoC (using shadow)
dark elves (using fire and death)
empire

I'll keep seeing how it goes, but so far, so good.

May I ask where you put your Tyrant in 2500 and 2999 games, seeing your IGs are pretty full with bellower, standard bearer + 2 chars. What tasks does his unit have to perform?

Why do you boost your bulls in 2999s instead of playing 4 leadies? I found them very devastating in 3 games vs. wood elves.

Many questions from a new ogre player  ;)

Thanks

(This post was well below the standards of the Stronghold. Please do not use "leet" text or other similar abbreviations in your future posts. Thanks. - Randroid)

Edit: I am sorry. I should have read the rules in the first place.
But to answer your questions:

My characters all go in the IG unit to benefit from runemaw protection - the BSB and Slaughtermaster sit in the 2nd rank

This unit is my steamroller - it can take a charge from anything (so far!) and still get a lot of killing done.  I throw this unit in harms way and go after the opponents biggest and best.

I boost the bulls as 6 bulls isn't great, but 8 makes a huge difference to the damage they can throw out.

I don't add more leadbelchers in as it makes me less ready to throw them away as a diverter - something I think we still need tactically.  3 leadbelchers can still shoot hard, but can now fulfil other duties.

well, I've been making some progress.

I've been painting 10 bulls, 3 leadbelchers and 2 giants over the last 2 days.  I have 2 scraplaunchers sat on the painting table ready to start, but can't see me getting to them today - and maybe not even before my holiday.  This'll only give me a couple of days to get them ready before the Incursion tournament.

I've also done an irongut standard bearer - just part of the standard to finish on this guy so he should be ready today.

So far I'm 95% done on the bulls and leadbelchers - just the basing to do on these.  Hoping to get this done tonight/tomorrow morning.

I've got 2 more layers of sknitone to apply to the giants and I've yet to paint the rest of the model and base them properly - but I may be able to get these finished tomorrow in time for a game tomorrow evening - here's hoping!

wildcard, how do you find your army holds up at 2000 pts?

ive found that even when i take say..5 units of bulls, im being taken down by sheer force of enemy numbers.
but your 2000 list has only a small amount of core units, does the addition of the 2 scrappys and giants make up for the low amount of core units?
I've yet to try the 2000 point list out - most opponents want to play bigger games in 8th ed.  I'm rather grateful for this as I've found that the 2000 point list is a very difficult beast - something I'll have to work hard on as the Throne of Skulls event is 2000 points....

I've just got back from holiday today - still not at my home yet, but should be there tomorrow - but finally back online :)

Over the break I picked up some windsor&newton series 7 brushes - these are great btw - and I'd taken my 2 giants and 2 scrappies along with me to paint in the evenings.  I didn't mange to get everything finished as I was missing a couple of colours and didn't bring anyflock or dullcote, but I did manage to get all the rest of the work done!

I should have these 4 models finished tomorrow afternoon andI'll have some new pics for you by then too.

This coming weekend is the Maelstrom Summer Incursion event - 6 games at 2250 - and I'll be taking detailed notes to let you know how my ogres faired in a tournament setting.  Expect a detailed (hopefully with pics) tournament report from this one! :)
x105 - keeping pace with my wins!

Ogre achievements: 65/101 latest: maneater (play in 5 different venues)

Latest Fantasy Result: ogre kingdoms vs. high elves - 1500 points - win!

8th edition: 105/25/12

Sounds cool, looking forward to seeing it.  And good luck. If you meet any skaven, grind them to pulp for me, will ya?
My very first pet gnoblar isn't he cute?
ya know even though i have a tiny post count i wouldn't mind being a gnoblar but i just though that a gnoblar who got his hands on an iron-fist would be a funny spectacle.
