Maps

original thread ↗

Ok, so here is a thread where we can post maps, so that they are all in one place for people to access. If it works well, perhaps it will get stickied by a mod.

What good is the Ogre Stronghold without an ogre-ish map?

The Maw Pit and Fighting Pit are impassible terrain.
The Ogre tents count as difficult terrain and provide soft cover.
The Gnoblar hovels(Baked mud lumps in the south) count as a level 2 building as does the run down house in the North that the Tyrant has claimed as his own.
Woods are obvious.
The Grey on the left are cliffs/hills. Difficult terrain traversing the edge but open on top and level 1.

Another Couple maps.

First one is for the Crisis in Marienburg campaign. Special rules for the scenario but easily modified.

The idea is that this a crossroad in terrain that shifts with the weather and other conditions. Play terrain how you would but the scenario states anything not hills or roads is swampy with special rules.

Even so I'd treat the water as impassible, the broken down house is a level 2 building. Darker green patches hills. The brownish patch in the left corner is tall reeds so provides Soft Cover. In a normal scenario I would have it be Difficult Terrain, but in this one terrain has special rules.

This one is for the Shipwreck scenario.

Made one real quick
I was very happy with this map, so I thought I'd add it to the database.

Here is the key to the special terrain:

Tower: a building with 2 stories.
Fields: count as open terrain, but offer light cover to any unit inside.
Peasant hut: a 1 story building. It offers light instead of hard cover.
Swamp (Light green) difficult terrain, offers light cover, does not block line of sight.
River: difficult terrain.
Lake: impassable
Mountain (Grey): impassable
Hills (Olive colour) no terrain penalty, elevated.
Forest (Dark Green areas by tower): Normal rules.
Bridge: Open terrain. A unit 6 wide or less can pass over the bridge without penalty.

Another map with possible rules:

Hills: Elevated, open.
Road: open, no special rules.
Lava: impassable, except over bridges.
Dark green is charcholed forest, which follows the normal forest rules.

I made a terrain-heavy one.
Maw-Pit is impassable, except in challenges, in which the challengers (if the challenge occurs within 6"), are teleported into the maw pit. If someone kills their opponent, they regain a wound (They gain frenzy if they are at full wounds) and they are put back in their original unit. If nobody dies, the 2 challengers are expelled from the maw pit on the side farthest from each of their respective units, and are treated as their own seperate units unless they move into base to base with their original unit, and then they are returned to the original spot in the unit they were in.

The fissures (The black areas) are impassable, except for the bridges (See below)

The brown bridges are normal terrain, except they are highly unstable. when ever a unit crosses one, each model rolls a die. on a 1, the model falls into the fissure and is removed.

The forests are difficult terrain and provide cover

The river is impassable, except by bridge

The grey bridges are regular open ground

The ruined houses (they don't look like ruined) are difficult terrain, and they provide cover

The picure attachment may not work, if it doesn't, I'll edit it in (I'm not sure what I use to attach it, I'm not technologically inclined, suffice to say)
