Possibly going up to my store tomorrow to get needed boilers, ect..
Anyway, played a 2250 against a Lizardman Army. My list is 10 over but he agreed and I let him get a free spawning so it all balances out

My list is above
His list-
1 -4th Gen. Slann, extra spell, and I donno what other goodies but he got his 100 pts..
2 -2 Lvl 2s - one with Cloak, Old One Spawning, and one of 'em had Diadem
3 -Scar Vet on Coldone
4 -16 Temple guard
5/6 -2x 12 skinks?? I think
8/7 -2x 12 Saurus, each with Huanchi one w/ Quetzl 'cause I was over
9 -3 Salamanders
10 -5 Saurus Cav
I think thats it, was a very easy going friendly game so points didn't start any problems.

I knew the moment I saw the Temple Guard Placed down dead center that a Slann was going to join. So I planned to blast that unit with the hellcannon and tear it down in Combat res to take out the Papa Toad. I screened my Chosen and Warriors with the Mauraders and Knights with the hounds to prevent missile file and magic or from charging head on.
Turn 1-
-----The Dark gods were on my side from the begining. The Lizards were to get +1 for going first, but when you roll a 2 odds are still against you. I elected to go first wanting to get into the right combats as soon as possible. I sacrificed a unit of hounds and went as far forward to the sarus cav as possible, relying on statistics. Knights stay back as does the Daemon Prince, aiming for the counter charge. Chariots lumber their 7" forward aiming straight ahead. Mauraders still screening the real combat monsters. Magic.... I play Khorne no need for such foolish fairy dust!! The hellcannon guess a bit to short, killed one saurus and made the Temple Guard and a Saurus unit take a Terror test, but they loved their LD 9..
-----His turn one, charges the hounds

, and moves saurus warriors up but keeps that Toad back.. Move the skinks and salamanders so they can shoot. his Magic Phase comes, with
13 Power Dice. I have 3 DD and 2 Scrolls.. I only worried about the spells he directed towards the Chariots as the rest were helping himself and hurting Mauraders? The 70 point units can take allll the damage they want if it means saving the bigger and badder things. No panicing, I'm set! Then comes the Shooting phase.. Shot at chariots with salamanders, but rolled a 4,5,5,6 for armor saves. Once again shooting Mauraders and hounds, so I'm happy

. Combat comes, i just take off my hounds w/o rolling. He persuses THE AVERAGE 10'

I'm thrilled because he is now less than 5" away from my Chosen Knights!
Turn 2-
-----Obviously I finish up the trap I started and Charges His Saurus cav with my Chosen Knights and Aspiring Champion. Daemon prince attempt to charge a lone Skink Priest, but escapes the beast's charge by inches. Have to charge with my chariots due to Frenzy, but hey, that was the plan. The 2 Mechanical Chariots charge one of the smaller Saurus warrior units. I move the rest up and "feed" his shooting units my Mauraders and Hounds by placing them right up in their face. Magic is for pansys... Hellcannon shoots again, takes out 5 temple guard. Knights tear the Saurus cav up, over run the AVERAGE 10".. Chariots roll snake eyes for impact hits

.. But all is good in that now Chariots of khorne have
8 attackseach. So even with the wiff on impact hits, they chase down the Saurus and have a chance to hit the Temple Guard. One of the chariots was so close to the edge of the temple guard we rolled a D6, but the Old Ones blessed him that day.. the othe was an inch short

-----His turn started with charging the lone chariot. then he failed to rally his Skink Priest as he ran off into the jungle. Then some non important moving.. Magic I fended off most, minus the few aimed at mauraders. Had to Scroll a Uranan's Thunderbolt aimed at the chariot out of combat. More shooting at Hounds/Mauraders. Combat came around and his temple Guard chose Halberds to try to take down the chariot faster and dealt 4 wounds.. Praying to the Dark Gods as I rolled, I watched the dice come up as a 5,5,6,6
ignoring the wounds. This proved VERY worthwhile as I won combat by one point
Turn 3-
-----Charged my Daemon Prince into the rear of the other 12 man saurus unit, forced to hold or be run into the chosen as an appitizer. The othe Chariot was just out of line of sight for a charge so set up for a next turn charge on the Temple Guard. Charged a unit of Skinks with 3 mauraders and 4 hounds, can't stand & shoot. Position Chosen w/ Gw to face the Temple Guard next turn and Regular Warriors for the 12 man unit/Temple Guard if the Saurus couldn't handle the Daemon Prince. I don't care to spend my time playing with unicorns or dandylions in the magic phase, I like skulls

Hellcannon when on the fritz and evry magic user took a would with no save. Told ya it was good for notin pile of flowers

.. Won the Temple guard by 1 again and the DP against saurus. Mauraders and hounds wiffed..
-----No charges, just moving. He finishes off a Maurader unit in magic, and I dispell hit Uranan's from damaging the lone chariot. Shooting he was out of range with javalins, in combat with blow pipes so salamanders shoot at chosen, but the 2 shots bounce off and 5 handlers are eaten. Everyone stayed in combat..
Turn 4-
-----Charge the TG with a chariot in the flank and Chosen in the Front along with Knights in the other flank

. the regular warriors decided they had to join in with the Daemon Prince's fight. Magic isn't real. In the shooting phase the Hellcannon could only shoot at the salamanders and skinks, killed 3 salamanders,4 skinks and both units fled in terror. The saurus warrior unit was eaten alive. The Temple Guard had no chance. 7 impact hits at S5, 27 S5 attacks, 9 S4 attacks and 21 S6 attacks

. 31 wounds, no Saurus left Slann needing snake eyes rolls box cars. Dead Slann, no ranked units lefts. It was looking interesting..
-----Even though he knew the battle was lost, he want to do as much damage as possible. The salamander unit wasn't able to rally, and the skinks failed to and fled off the board. With one Skink priest left and an engaged unit of depleting skinks, he was willing to play it out. Magic I scolled Uranan's and he failed the other. Combat had the skinks fleeing into Warriors.
Turn 5-
-----Claim my table Quarters, then declare a charge with the daemon prince on the Chicken with a Cloak of feathers.. He flees but not off the board. Go straight to shooting and roll a Misfire 6
AGAIN wounding all magic users on the field once with no saves. Killing my scroll caddy, and the frail little lizard too, proving that
magic stinks!
It was a fun game for us both, he agreed he made a few mistakes by taking out the small units first and moving up his saurus blocks, but ya learn more when you lose. At first I was positive I would be decimated in the magic phase, but was able to hold my own, even with a mere scroll caddy

He learned more than me, which is always a good thing if someone learns. I only got a stronger feeling of proof in that Magic is a good for nothing ability

Even my magic user died for his abilities!
Proof!
Combat > Magic
