Frozen fist tribe.

original thread ↗

So, i had this gnoblog planned veeery long time, but of course the computer gets broken. But now im here whit improved computer, and ready to start mine gnoblog.

Now, you might think what is Frozen fist tribe all about, well its all about snow, ice, and gnoblars throwing snowballs.

What i have in my army so far:

1 Bruiser (im using Maneater miniature)

1 Hunter and 2 Sabertusks

1 Butcher (converted from bull)

3 bull units (3 bulls in each unit)

1 Gnoblar unit (20 gnoblars)

1 Gnoblar trapper unit (8 trappers)

1 Irongut unit (4 ogres)

2 Leadbelchers (2 ogres in each unit)

1 Gorger

3 Ogre Rhinox riders (Rhinoxses replaced whit bears)

And, now the important part... the pictures

The Bruiser:

Gorger:

So, thats all for now.

Thank you!  :irongut:
Forgive mine bad english.
The bruiser looks good. The hammer could use more highlights as it looks like it has just been primered at this point.
I'm not a fan of the blue skinned gorger, but you painted it well so I can live with it.

Cool, looks like you've got quite a few models already.  Do you have a list in mind?  Because I could, I wipped up this 2000 pointer real quick like.  Not the best of lists but gets all your models on the table (I'm guessing at unit weapons and options in most cases):

Bruiser - siegebreaker, wyrdstone necklace, heavy armor
Hunter - heavy armor, 2 sabretusks
Butcher - dispel scroll, fistful of laurels
4 Ironguts - standard, bellower
3 Bulls - bellower
3 Bulls - bellower
3 Bulls - bellower
20 Gnoblar Fighters
8 Gnoblar Trappers
2 Leadbelchers - bellower
2 Leadbelchers - bellower
3 Rhinox Riders - bull rhinoxen, ironfists, heavy armor
Gorger

Nice blue gorger, looks a bit chilly that's for sure.

Thanks for comments!

@ Salvage: I dont have any ideas about what im going to take for my list, and i really liked your suggestion, so i think i will used it as my list until i get more figures.

So now i have been painting my Ironguts, and i have couple allmost painted, and i heres the two ironguts so far:

Bellower:

Standard bearer:

Oh, and that yellow stuff in the standard bearers base suppoused to look like beer.

Thank you!  :irongut:
Forgive mine bad english.
They are pretty cool looking. About the beer, you'd get a much better effect if it was more amber, and more translucent. But, I don't know how you'd go about doing that (water effects?)

Looking great, but again... remove those mould lines, people! ;)
I haven´t painted ogres today, cause i just get my hands on the new rulebook of 40K, and im psyked about it. Still i dont know is this any better than the last edition because i have never played 40K. But no worries ogres ain´t going anywere, and i managed to pullout one picture, of mine army so far.

I really like the snow look. :) I think the ironguts are your best work so far. My only criticism would be that I think you overdo the blood a little.

So, heres the bear riders you wanted to see Reg:

They are still WIP, and i know those trousers are terrible. I can´t fix them yet because im out of Greenstuff. I am going to paint those bears too, and maybe add some trophies so those bears don´t look like clones.

I also get mine Hunter ready:

Great concept. You could add blue wash, mixed with a little green wash and some water to the icy things and then highlight it with white. I have also varnished my ice weapons. I think it makes it look more icy so to speak. Here is an example

Those are some gigantic frikkin' bears. Truly terrifying.

Hello all!

Its been a while since i painted ogres because im working on my Space Marine army, and also something completely new, which is Undead Mordheim gang (i can take some pictures of them if you want). But i want my gang to be a little bit different, than other Undead warband, so i decide to add some very famous baddys from well know´n horror games. So first i decide to add Pyramid head, so i think the GW mini im using to convert Pyramid head is these guys: http://uk.games-workshop.com/darkeldar/miniature-gallery/6/. I create the pyramid from sides of two slottabases http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll151/Grimgorjr/IMG_0615.jpg.

So tell me what you think, and i if you have ideas who else badguy i would add, let me know.

Thank you!  :irongut:

Just reading that reminded me of this...

See mods, i was nice and scribbled out the profanity  ;)

Yes! Welcome to Mordheim Yuzokk. It is easily GW's best game.

The bear cavalry poster always makes me smile. Has anyone else noticed the one in the foreground carries a guitar and the other seems to be carrying an amp?

Finally i got my Pyramid head converted. It wasen´t hard to convert, but was hard to find the miniature from shop were i buy my minis.

so here it is:

http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll151/Grimgorjr/IMG_0638.jpg

http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll151/Grimgorjr/IMG_0639.jpg

http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll151/Grimgorjr/IMG_0640.jpg

And i must agree with you Reg, Mordheim is best Gw game. I have played couple games with my orc warband, and enjoyed every minute of it.

Thank you!  :irongut:
Forgive mine bad english.
Very cool. But it looks like the pyramid might be overly big (I can't tell because of the angle though).
