Ok first off, this is a great army! Your work and sticking with a theme ( albeit a weird one...but very original!) is amazing!
But I gotta ask, why this theme? I'm going to assume you work for the PO? Anyway who cares, you did a great job on these!

These gobbos have become famous around the net, and it's nice you're making additions to them.
Some units absolute hilarity (webmail unit and the snails are wonderful).
Awsome job.
cheers

I actually get that question a lot (who would have thought?). No, I don't work for the Post Office. When I decided some years ago to build a second army (my first was VC, which was since sold to my sone, and now I'm doing VC again - go figure!) I was a bit frustrated at my record (I was losing A LOT), so I said screw - how can I make the most random army possible? I then had two ideas for a random army - either a circus (clowns, trapeze, etc) or 'going postal' - I picked the latter because I was able to come up with more ideas for units. It quickly snowballed from there.

Thanks. I've heard that some other people actually have pics or mentioned them - I would really love to have links there. It really made me feel good two years ago when someone mentioned that he remembered seeing them (and not on my page) - this after I hadn't played them for a year! Even though I have won a few local tourney's and painting / modeling awards for them, it is hearing that people like it and have seen it that really make this worthwhile for me.
Thanks

Great theme, for it's hilarity and uniqueness, and the army looks good. But I'm worried about one thing- you missed the opportunity to use a big red triangle for the banner on your Mailboxes unit!

If by RAW, you mean "Reg06's Audacious Whims", then you'd be right.

Ok - I don't get the big red triangle for the mailboxes - I'm definitley missing your reference here.

What the....heck. I cant believe an entire army based on one of the weirdest themes ever...
Hey that troll head on the giant works really well, took me a second to recognize it!

I couldn't find one with a triangle, which is how I've always remembered the flag. They have those where you live right? If not, the mailman puts the flag up when he puts mail in the box as a notice.

Oh - I get it now! I've actually never lived where I've had a mailbox on the street with the little flag - however I just may have to redo my Black Orc standard for a indy-gt in 2 weeks! I may even have to find a way to put it on a hinge!

Actually, the flag is raised when you have a mail to ship (alrady stamped, of course), so the mail man comes and picks it up. I used to have such mailbox when I lived in Greenwich, Connecticut, some time ago.
Sorry for the off topic.

Great theme, certainly one I haven't ever seen before.
I was going to say 'you should've painted them black orcs' armour red', but I'm guessing the mailboxes at your place are black?
puggimer18 Mar 2008
You are thinking of the mailboxes for a house - the black orcs are actually meant to be the ones on the street (like the ones the characters are standing on):
So maybe the red flags don't apply after all, though I still like that idea.
