He is a fine example of Gnoblar-ness; cowardly, simpering, weak and lowly wicked. Beyond the applaudable accomplishment of surviving in the harsh world of the Ogre Kingdoms there is nothing special or unexpected about him. well, maybe one thing...
Meedle is likely one of the most powerful creatures in the Warhammer World!
As with most things involving Gnoblars it occured almost entirely by accident; Meedle was aiming to win a particularly intense game of "Shove It" (A popular Gnoblar past-time involving reaching into the cooking pot of an absent Butcher and shoving whatever one should pull out of it up their nose!) when hi searching fingers grasped what could be a winner, happily he heaved the morsel from the foul-smelling depths of the Cooking Pot and promptly shoved it to the back of his right nostril. Unfortunately Meedle had no knowledge that what his grasping fingers had stumbled upon was the'key ingredient' of any Butchers Pot: A tooth, wrenched from the horizon stretching gums of the Great Maw itself!!!
Sensing a more pliable mind then it had felt in millennia the Great Maw sent forth nearly all its might through this new channel, seeking to quench its world-devouring hunger. In the end it took almost all of Slaughtermaster Whassatz's larder (and a well aimed spatula) to cease the devastation being wrought by Meedle's snotty nose.
Sensing the potential of this innocuous little time bomb Whassatz tied Meedle up, blindfolding him, shoving rocks in his ears and plugging his other nostril. Thus he is kept, been fed scraps from the end of a very long stick until the Tyrant bids him brought to battle, to be deplyed, rather callously, with a firm kick to ensure he arrives closer to the enemy than his own side...
Meedle: 150pts (counts as 1 Hero choice)
M4 WS2 BS3 S2 T4 W2 I3 A2 Ld6
Weapons: Meedle is thrown into melee armed with only his Wikked Poin'y Fing.
Special Rules
Bicker, Sharp Stuff (see Army book for details)
Give 'im a boot!- Meedle may only be played in an army of 3000pts or more, this army must include a Slaughtermaster. After all other Models have been deployed roll a D6 and add 12", this is the distance in front of the Slaughtermaster Meedle is deployed.
Mind out, its Meedle!!- Such is the fear his own side have of him, Meedle often times finds himself surrounded on all sides by no friends at all as Ogre and Gnoblar alike make a point of avoiding him.Meedle may always make a March move.
No model listed as an Ogre or a Gnoblar may come within 6" of Meedle. If he comes within this range whilst routing all Units must take a Panic test, with a -1 modifier. If failed they rout directly away from Meedle.
The Maw's Plaything- Meedle is the most fun the incomprehensible mind of the Great Maw has felt in centuries, and so is loath to allow him to perish.
Meedle counts as having Magical Resistance 1 and a 5+ Ward Save.
Meedles Wikked Pointy Fing- In truth just a piece of chewed Rhinox bone, in Meedles grubby little hands it becomes a conduit to the indicriminate fury of The Great Maw, morphed by Meedles own cruel little thoughts.
The Wikked Poin'y Fing is a Bound Spell to be used in the Magic Phase with a Power Level of 6. To activate it there must be an enemy Unit within 12", Meedle takes a Leadership test, if failed Meedle may do nothing. If passed roll 1 D6 on the chart below:
Meedles Wikked Poin'y Chart
1- Meedle sneezes, expending all his potent energies in a flurry of apocalyptic bogies, and spends the next few minutes furiously picking the remains. Nothing occurs this turn and Meedle automatically fails his next Bicker Test.
2- Each model in the targeted Unit suffers 1 Strength 4 Flaming Attack.
3- Place the Large Template directly over the Unit and Scatter D6" any models directly beneath the Template suffer 1 Strength 7 hit with no Armour Saves.
4- One Model in the Unit (opponents choice) explodes without warning. First roll an armour save, if the test is failed place the small template direcly over the affected model. All models under this template get struck with a hit using the toughness of the affected model as its strength, partially covered models are hit on a 4+. Remove the affected regardless of whether it passed its armour save.
5- The Unit must take a Panic Test with a -4 Modifier
6- Meedle players choice
[/list]
The Wikked Poin'y Fing also counts as being Magical Weapon.
Bag of Nerves- Having the equivalent of a Greater Daemon lodged up his nostril has done nothing to cure the Meedles Gnoblarish tendancies towards neurosis and paranoia, if anything it has exacerbated matters!
If, when taking a Leadership Test, Meedle rolls a double 1 the tremendous power housed in his nose shows its displeasour. Place the Flame template against Meedles base and rotate it 360 degrees, any Unit touched by the template suffers D3 automatic wounds. Set aside any casualties this creates. after the Template has been rotated all the way count up the number of casualties, the total is the strength of the hit every Spell Caster on the field suffers.
Yes, he's shockingly overpowered, I mean't him to be. How much more fun and rediculous can you get than the truest Avatar of the Maw been a frazzled schizoid Gnoblar?

No leadership test associated with the bound spell?

Yeah, I thought Meedle worked really well, but my opponent was a lil unsatisfied... He agreed to allow me to play the rules, but I think he felt that Meedle was a lil over-powered afterwards
