Hey all

Am new to the ogre kingdoms and have been doing lots of reading around this site and others to try and get inspiration for my new army. I toyed with many themes and ideas to make the army seem unique and offer me oppertunities and after darting from chaos to jungle to tomb king themed i have decided to settle for a mongolian theme, and to use my other ideas on maneaters. However my knowledge on mongolians and their culture is limited. So i figured i'd start up a log and ask questions and resource links. The main theme of my army is an emphisis on Ogres, so aside from a scrap launcher that im converting and the odd unit of trappers it will be mostly bulls and iron guts.

I have some ideas for my butchers, taking inspiration from SAW and hostel to create some lovely looking chaps, the kind you would definately leave your kids with for hours....

But i also want to do a really nice tyrant.

So if anyone has any ideas for cool character conversions, or simple conversions for my units i would love to hear them. Pics will be coming eventually, but I am of the ilk that likes to meticulously plan exactly what i want in my army bfore i start buying. So there won't be any proper pics until i have at least 750pts worth of ogres.

Thanks for the image, i have some ideas for the basic infantry models. I'm going to model some fur trim on trousers and hats, and am practising making some mongolian style plates for the shoulders and for the shoulders of my iron guts.

For my tyrant i was thinking about making an embossed mask of some kind. The themes i have found seem to be along the lines of tigres or dragons, so i'm gonna have some fun practising that to get one that looks good.

Should be buying a Box of bulls by the weekend so there will be some pictures soon, and i  am going to convert one of them into a butcher. Was thinking of givinf him a leather cowl and a nice big apron. Im still debating about what sort of weaponry he should have but i'm sure an idea will emerge.
