Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

original thread ↗

Hi guys,

I was planning on starting a WHFRP game at my school club (I'm sure I could find some willing victims..err...players) - so I picked up the core rulebook today and started reading.

Does anyone here know of any really good online resources for WHFRP that I could tap into?  Or a way of getting to play an ogre character? :)

I'm not sure of any online rescources (my WFRP glory days were in the pre-widespread-internet days of yore) but I'd check out the power behind the throne campaign books. They are without doubt, the best adventure written for WFRP and the popular concensus seems to be the best roleplay adventure period. I've played through them as a gamer and thouroughly enjoyed them

thanks

Wildcard, at the Black Industries website that Malekith linked, you can find some rules for Ogre Characters in the Fan Material area of the Downloads section.  It is in a PDF file, and they were created by someone named Andy Law.

You probably already found it, but I thought I would bring it to your attention in case you had not.
Its a fun game, and much easier to play then D&D, or most of the other D20 games.
As much as I love Warhammer I must say that I might go w/ another game if I were you. Granted roleplaying groups are quite fun, but all of them end in time. Starting a game I'd wonder how long it would last before I went out and bought all of the supplements. Then gain some folks don't care.

I've always been a fan of off-shoot RPs such as Exalted, Shadowrun, and etc..

I've been playing RPGs for over 21 years now, and trust me - a good game never has to end!  I still have some characters running from over 17 years ago and still finding the fun with them.  I have never tried the WHFRP system though.

I've decided to call on another old resource though - the old Fighting Fantasy gamebooks by the founders of GW - Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson.  I have all the books for this, including all the supplements that went with them to describe the world, and I'll be trasnplanting the warhammer old world and Allisania and making a frankenstein version of them both :)
