The sucky units GAME

original thread ↗

Thanks to TWF for the idea.

Here's a fun forum game. I'm going to post a unit, and the first poster must post why this particular unit sucks, then name a unit themselves. Repeat the process.

I'll start. Tell me why Chosen Chaos Warriors suck.

Thanks

I'm in! I dunno if what I say is alteogether accurate, but in theory it should be (also, I should ask, is this a game in which joke answers, i.e. Skaven Slaves suck because they smell like low-quality cheese, are allowed, or is it a more serious game, with serious answers of tactical merit? Just in case, I will do both!):

Chosen Chaos Warriors suck because, with M4, they are slow and can be easily avoided/surrounded if march-blocked.
OR
Chosen Chaos Warriors suck because they aren't gribbly enough!

Tell me why Dwarf Organ Guns suck?
2 Pet Gnoblars! I dub them Itchy and Scratchy, for reasons that are too private to divulge.
No... It's meant to be serious, although sarcasm isn't unapreciated.

Organ guns... Let me see... Spending a rare choice on a 120pts machine, that does little more than what an avearge 5 handgunners can do almost as well (but at S4), and having a 1/18 chance of blowing itself up is what I will do.

No! What is really useful in the dwarf army is the Oath Stone mounted Lord, which seems totally impossible to avoid.

Thanks

I love this game!
I was gonna post it here only a couple of days ago icon_biggrin
Anyway......

The silly Dwarf needs to be on a bloody stone just so his enemy can see him, he's nothing a Tyrant with the Tenderiser can't sort out...............

Well I'm in but i like making werid comments lol joking around. Well the Ogre Tyrannt Tenderizer, (well do we have to say why it sucks or can we say something good?) it costs alot of points and have an Tyrant with Tenderizer has no armor and he is a sitting duck to *caugh* my wood elfs force with 36 archers *caugh* XD.

But what about those Snotlings??
Swarms that aren't unbreakable aren't much fun.

Wood elf Scouts are totally worth their point cost of 17pts per model!

Thanks

The game was originally called "crap on the unit above", thats what's fun about it, you have to find something bad about a really good unit sometimes icon_smile icon_wink

Wood elf scouts, 17 points per model for some poncy pointy eared puff who is scared to get into combat, I'd rather have 8 and a half Gnobbo Fighters
they'd surely break the pansies in combat by CR alone, if not kill a couple.........

gnoblar fighters are absolutly poo since there are slow have only the negatives of animosity and couldnt kill a fish in a barrel with there so call sharp stuff, they really are the poor mans goblin choice.
a nice juicy unit horrors would kick the stuff out of them

*please watch your language - little kids reading, etc, etc icon_smile
Horrors are only most effective in big numbers, thus making them expensive or less effective.
Their nothing a 85 pt Tomb Scorpion can't sort out.

Current Record:
Ogres
Played: 21   Wins: 10  Draws: 3  Loss: 8
Eldar

A beast, which will crumble to dust due to the static combat even a unit of gnoblar fighters will get.

Give me a unit of Savage Orc Boar Boys!

30 some odd points a pop, Frenzy, and only no Magic Banner for Big 'Uns.
Now a ranked unit of Black Orcs with Nogg's Notorious Banner on the other hand...

can be avoided almost too easily.
I'd rather pay the same price for a ranked unit of Khornegors

Thanks

Easily avoided and baited into wrong positions
I'd rather have a unit of 9 Grail Knights

a point sink with a flank a mile long - and rubbish when they get charged.

I think a steam tank does a better job.

A major point sink and beardy beyond belief, a Great Chaos Mammoth would do better.
