I played a 500-point game of Warhammer today against my friend, me with my Ogres and he with his Orcs. It was a total massacre!
Here's the list I used:
1 Bruiser, no upgrades
1 Butcher, no upgrades
3 Bulls, no upgrades
3 Ironguts, no upgrades
And even that is 509 pts! The game, of course, wasn't serious so I was allowed to have a few too many points.
His list:
1 Orc Big Boss, Ulag's Akkrit Axe
1 Orc Shaman, Dispel Scroll
20 Orc Warriors w/ additional Choppa and full command
12 Arrer Boyz, no upgrades
The battle:
After deployment, we rolled a D6 to see who started moving. He won the roll and decided to start. He moved his ladz forward (his Big Boss was in the unit of Warriors, btw) - he tried charging my Irongut unit with his Warrior ladz but was like, two inches too far away... Next, in his magic phase (he had Gaze of Mork and Fists of Gork), he cast Gaze of Mork (I think) but I dispelled it. Right, then his Arrer Boyz shot at my Ironguts, but only one arrow wounded, and I saved it wiv my leet Heavy Armour.
In movement phase, I charged his Warriors with my Ironguts. My Bruiser then joined my Bulls and I flank-charged his Warriors with them. Next, I moved my Butcher towards his Arrer Boyz and cast Braingobbler on them - they spectacularly failed the panic test, even though the General was within 12". Next, I cast Bonecruncher on his Shaman - he tried dispelling it but failed. I inflicted 10 hits and 4 wounds on his Shaman, who died. Next, it was Close Combat. After a lot of hacking and bashing, only his Big Boss and 5 of his 20 Warriors were left. He failed to inflict any wounds, broke, and fled 10". I pursued with my Ironguts, rolling 11. So, only his Arrer Boyz are left, which fail to rally and flee off the battlefield.
So, there you have it - not one wound inflicted on my Ogres, his entire force obliterated. I don't think my first battle could've turned out better!
