Quoted so it would also be on the second page. Great stuff mate, really voodoo. I love the coat and hat. I do think the mouth on the gutplate should be... smaller. Use smaller strands of greenstuff, right now the mouth really is to big/broad.

Sweet your doin a Voodoo themed ogre army to? If you have any ideas for convirsions please tell!
Fear19 Dec 2007
hey, sorry i haven't been able to do any work on my army recently due to a bereavement.
today i did some work on a gut plate (again) and I really like this one! however i may change the eyes... also today i started work on the base and i used the gnoblar trapper with the big fur coat and gave him a top hat! gnoblars copy their masters so i thought this was a good idea. also i put a pole on the base to (when i get round to buying a skeleton box) have a skeleton hanging from.
can't get any shots up as i haven't got my camera on me, hope to get them here soon though!
and hi, yeah I'm doing a voodoo army too. I suggest you look on google or something for voodoo stuff for inspiration, thats what i did.
thanks, fear

Sorry to hear about your bereavement Fear.
but I'm glad to hear more news on this army. The noblar sounds like a great idea and I'll look forward to seeing pics when you manage to snap some
Thanks Corai

The Hat and pose is phenominal! The 2nd gut plate seems to fit in better with the overall model as it looks more voodooy than your first attempt. I agree with Reg06 though. Your building these Ogres for yourself so dont go changeing them unless its because your not happy with them.
That being said I just gotta put this in here so please dont take offense. How are you going to have the Tyrant of your VooDoo themed army Not have a Voodoo doll equiped? I mean isnt that doll a staple of the faith? I wanna see a voodoo doll! Rawr! lol!
I'm just messin but I think it would make him look more Voodooy if he had more stereotypical pieces of the culture on his person.
Just some more free advise from me... and you get what you pay for.

I think you need a 'Mojoblar'... and some John the Conquerers root for your Butchers!

I'm liking the conversion.
Gnoblar in a top hat. fantastic. this i really want to see
Are you going to paint a papa shango type skull on his face to go with the hat.
I have a suggestion for one of the butchers have him holding a man and sticking pins in him like a voodoo doll but ogres not quite getting it and ends up using a real manling and shoving nails in him.
Keep up the good work.

Chuck Norris was the fourth wise man and gave Jesus his favorite gift, a beard. The other wise men were so hacked off, they got Chuck Norris removed from the bible. Mysteriously, they all later died of Roundhouse kick related injuries.

hey, nice feedback recently =D
yes a voodoo doll will be needed for sure =P but i think i am going to go with Davespaceman's idea about the butcher having one. the tyrant is based on baron samedi from the bond films and he dosent have one in them =P then again he dosent have a huge club either =P
should get some photos of the new gut plate and gnoblar with hat up tomorrow!
visiting family for christmas so it has been hard to get work done with everything else that has gone on recently..
thanks, Fear

hey guys!
happy new year and all that and i hope you all had a great christmas!
been really busy recently hence no posts ALSO my dad's digital camera broke down so i have had to resort to using my rather lacking camera phone to take the new pic =[
the gnoblar is as it is seen not much conversion other than the hat and the tyrants gut plate still needs some wire to go through the wholes round the mouth of the face on it to make it look like it has been sewn up =]
i know it is a bad pic but feedback would be great!
also i have started on my ironguts (as you can see in the background) so they should be painted within the next few days and i SHOULD have those pics up =D
also over the christmas i got my first ever ogre games in =D i was using this 1000 point army and i won every game =D i played night gobbos with LOTS of fanatics, the new high elves and dwarfs here is the list list:-
Bruiser Siege Breaker Wyrdstone Necklace Brace of Handguns 192
Butcher Skull Mantle 150
Butcher Bangstick 155
497
3 Bulls XHW 117
3 IG's 144
3 IG's 144
24 Gnoblars 48
24 Gnoblars Groin Biter 50
Total: 1000
Thanks, Fear
