looks good.  However, I'm going to have to take all those item/upgrade point costs off your list - please check forum rules before posting!

(snip)

there - that's better! :)

now, on your list I'm unsure as to why you picked jade lion - drop it for longstrider bigname to give your tyrant more flexability.  This also gives you 5 points to put a lookout gnoblar on the IG standard (the only reason for taking standards in a unit of 3 ogres IMO).

have youe ver tried yhetees?
if so, how did you go with them?

if not, I'd recommend dropping a unit of bulls and the leadblechers, and buying some in.

kind of :)  My current GT list does run 2 units of yhetees  - and I've had a lot of success with them.  Wednesday this week vs. VC:

1 unit of yhetees absorbed the wails of a pair of banshees and charded into the front of a block of skeletons that was poised to flank my tyrant's unit - this unit lost 2 members and never made its points back in the conventional sense, but effectivly held my entire left flank through self-sacrifice (along with the sacrifice of a unit of trappers).

the other unit flank charged 3 spirit host bases, killed them on the charge.  this cleared the right flank for a unit of ironguts to encircle the VC army without getting tar-pitted.  earning their points back here the yhetees then destroyed 2 units of fellbats with a charge/overrun move and were poised to get the banshees when my opponent conceeded in turn 5.  This unit took no casualties (or even wounds all game).

in short - yhetees die, but they always die doing something useful :)

your list looks good and should do well :)

Wildcard: do you find Yhetees to be like gorgers... ie. Take 2 or Take 0? It seems to me that the reason you had a unit to destroy the spirit host was because the VC player had to fight the other yhetees also.

Perhaps that's why yhetees never seem to work for me... the only defense they have is to get in close combat (-1 to hit). When they are crossing the no-man's land and everything with range can focus on that one unit- it dies horribly. if I had a second unit on the other flank, it would probably reach combat...

hmmm... I may need to test this craziness. I am getting better at seeing 12" without having to measure... it may be time to try varying my charge range.

sorry... did not mean to hijack. Nice list. Yhetees never work for me, but I an really bad at getting charge distances right. having 2 extra inches doesn't help if you can't tell without measuring.

I once accidentally declared a 20" charge because I though it looked like 12
Bah! you and your foolish "Logic" and you constant relianceon this "Tactics" myth. Everyone knows Ogres going BOOM are better.

seriously... if you are good at maneuvers, go yhetees. If you are more like me (I once accidentally declared a 20" charge because I though it looked like 12"... fortunately, my opponent thought I was joking and let me march instead.) go leadbelchers.

I don't think much changes when your 18. The only things I can do is buy cigarettes, porn and if I get in trouble with the law I'm kinda screwed!
