The fortunes of the Chaos Eaters have become even better since former maneater Gar Seawolf ate Ogur Spearchewer. Gar has provided the tribe with good hunting, bashing and feasting since his rise to power. This is mainly due to Gar having served all his maneater life in different navies. He has learned basic tactics there and has become strong, even for an ogre. On board he has learned to appreciate the strenghts of everyone. Something new that works is never a bad thing to Gar.
After having seen first hand the destruction wrought by artillery and gunfire Gar obtained, through some very shady types, a few cannons. He has used these to augment his crew's firepower by forming a group of leadbelchers. The ogres chosen for this job really like these guns, as they have risen in status since receiving them. And the noise is really good!
Gar has also learned that manoevering is very important in combat. For this reason he has started negotiatons with the local Yethees to get a few recruited. Also Gar brought the hunter Grak Spawnkiller back into the tribe, when he learned that before Graks' nickname was Longstrider. Grak does not mind the change of power much, as the previous tyrant kicked him out because he was hunting too much. He saw him as a threat to his position. Grak is now living with the tribe again, but still goes out at the slightest opportunity. Gar has no problems with this as Grak will invariably drag back something impressive and, more importantly, edible. This keeps the bulls and 'guts happy, which means Gar doesn't spend half his time bashing up his own crew.
What Gar is still looking for is a giant. Already he has led several hunts and has caught giants repeatedly. But Gar is quite picky in giants, so all giants caught have been served up in a feast the evening they were caught. Too flimsy to use, but good to eat! This has actually has caused a problem for Gar. His ogres are now competing with eachother to become the best giant tackler, as the one who drops a giant will be rewarded with the delicacy of blood- roasted giant fingers. So when Gar will find a giant that suits him he might get in trouble for not serving him up. Gar's solution to this problem is as follows: He will try and catch two giants at the same time, keep the best one and serve the other. Quite elegant and simple according to Gar, except for the two giant part of the plan.
Added are pictures of Gar and Grak.
