KeefCracker's first list - Maneaters!

Hi all
thinking of doing an Ogre army if I can scrounge up some funds.
I love Maneaters , and will theme the army as savage maneaters , maybe an african theme
Bones through noses and that sort of thing, the handguns on the maneaters would be spears etc.
It's just a thought for now , any ideas ?

probably better to give the skull mantle to one of the other butchers since they are more likely to be involved in causing leadership tests. The only other thought is possibly a battle standard bearer (rag banner or rune maw) rather than a butcher since a couple of bad dice rolls and half your army could be facing the wrong way. Either that or give one of your characters "kin eater" big name and keep them central.

My experience of running a three butcher army seems to be that there are always two butchers up close and personal with the enemy (the Bangstick and Skullmantle one) and there is one that hangs back a bit and concentrates on the buffs...   With three butchers and 5 Dispel Dice - I think you could get away with a single scroll... you will find that once you start churning out buffs - your opponent is less likely to cast spells, and most likely to spend his magic phase trying to cancel your remains in plays...   I think you could easily drop one of the scrolls, give the Siegebreaker to the Butcher with the Skullmantle, and give the Halfling Cookbook to the last butcher... makes him much more resilient when buffing...

As for the rest of the list - looks good.  I don't use Kineater, and don't use a BSB - and have never really missed it... so I don't think you need to go down that route...   Ld9 to 12" is decent enough.  Personally, i'd drop the Wyrdstone and put in Longstrider...   It gives you the option of running out of his unit for the surprise 14" charge - but even if you don't, having the 3d6 pursue move is a good thing...  If you don't want longstrider, consider going out on a limn and getting Mawseeker (with no Jade Lion) - how often will you fail Ld9 stupidity tests?  Not that often, surely..

Find the points to grab lookout gnobs on your Iron Guts if possible... if you ever come up against an army with Cannons, you will REALLY miss them, and they are only 5 points...

I'd pay for these by dropping the Champ off the 4 Bulls unit... not really needed in Ogre armies.   Unless you really want to go with the Handgun theme, i'd also consider dropping the Handguns off the Tyrant... most of the time he will be marching or charging... not much chance to shoot, and a few Bs4 Handgun shots, are not going to make a huge difference... and 12 points will give you enough to do some other minor things... (like a Bellower on a unit of Bulls).
