Hey guys I know that there are a couple of races that are really not made a codex or full one like the Chaos Dwarfs(but they do have a PFD codex) and Xenos Hunters. I read alot about Xenos Hunters but the only thing is they havent made a PFD codex or a regular Codex, or even in the White Dwarf(how the new blood angels codex) Do you guys think it could happen the Xenos Hunters? it has its own Stratigic rating.

I doubt it, at least not for a while. With a the Space Marine armies that are going to get redone, the Orks and Dark Eldar that need to get redone, and the other 40k armies that'll eventually get redone it could be a long while before they do a Xenos Hunter codex. Nor does one need to be made, after all that's basically what the Space Marines are.

I've always told myself that if they brought out the Xenos Hunter marines then I would start collecting them as my very first 40k army.

While it wouldn't be my first 40k army - - I'd love to play straight up DeathWatch too.
This is totally speculation, but here's what I think will happen with Codex:Alien Hunters. There have been whisperings of a Codex:Inquisition years from now, and I would suspect that GeeDub will combine all 3 ordos into one semi-generic book. All the ordos use the same house assassins (maybe they'll add a 5th? or redo the others at last?), the same deathcultists, the same stormtroopers, the same orbital bombardments. To distinguish ordos you would likely "mark" your generic Inquisitor Lord with one of the 3 available, which would define his wargear choices, etc - DH = annointed weapon + psycannon, WH = powerstake + inferno pistol, AH = xenos-weapon-of-instant-death + xenos-kill/capture-gun. You could probably pick from the 'puritan' load out or the 'radical' load out, but as is the trend now the options would not be as limitless as they are now.
Then you would have access to the ordos chamber militant - Grey Knights, Sisters, DeathWatch - in their Elites, Troops, Fast, Heavy roles. Or if you choose radical they'd each give you access to spooky eevil things - demonhosts, captured alpha psykers?, alien bountyhunters / lobotomized xenos monsters.
Given how they're doing the marks in the new C:CSM - as in, they aren't limiting anything - I'd think you could probably mix and match ordos units, but hopefully some boon would come if your INQ was from 1 ordos over the others. I'd like to see that kind of balancing / limiting feature anyway, at least make all INQ be from the same ordos and, say, compulsory troops must be either stormtroopers or from the same ordos? Then elites / fast / heavy could depend on how many ordos troops were taken (so you want an exorcist, you need a squad of Sisters as troops).
This is all speculation though, but I would expect a combined Inquisition codex that contained Xenos, not a seperate Xenos book.

They do have rules for Deathwatch space marines in one of the books of the astronomican, and they might have the rules posted on the GW site. but thats really as close to the xenos hunters as I've seen, and their model bits are special order... they arn't bad though and get some spiffy options... but a squad counts as an HQ choice, which is the only real downer for me.
woo!
IronGribdate unknown
Boss_Salvage thats a great idea i would love if that happen but if the Xenos Hunters ever came out i would play a pure Xenos Hunter army. But the all 3 Ordos in one book is a great idea you should tell GW that and they might use it lol.
Ghworgdate unknown
I dunno about all 3 Ordos in one book. Admittedly the Assassins/Inqusitors are the same, but the main troops used by the Ordos are different enough to make sure they each have their own book. Also, merging the three would mean a merging of wargear and then rules are necessary to distinguish which Ordo gets to use what. The main thing I would like to see in the future is a clear defining line between the radical and puritan elements of an Inquistion list, and more options for the radicals. For example, for Radical Daemonhunters, they should be able to swap Grey Knights for Relictors, average Space Marines who can use salvaged daemonic items, in addition to Daemonhosts.

And in UK WD306, they uberpwn in a Battle report against Tyranids.
I would love to see a Codex: Inquisition, because it's not just the big 3, I would love to have a couple of fun options for the Ordo Sepulturum i.e. the zombie hunters

Given the move toward extreme simplification, particularly of characters, in 40k codex, I think it very likely you'd take an "Inquisitor Lord" or "Inquisitor" and then select from a very small package of ordos equipment. Not in love with this idea in any codex, but hey, it's simple and you don't need a huge number of pages to explain what everything for every ordos does.
But I'm with you on the lesser ordos, would be cool to have some options to mix & match things to get new ordos. Like traits system with marines, or more like doctrines for IG actually. With limited troops, equipment, etc.

Since there are many types of alien, (as opposed to Daemons, and witches which essentially are more less all one specific type of enemy) I think it would be cool to if there was some special rule that would let you gain a benefit for fighting a specific enemy. Since the ordos xenos is all about killing the alien, they would realy know their foe enoughto know some of their weaknesses.
Radical inquisitors would be sweet, from what I've read in novels, they would have access to xenos gear, and may even be able to ally with the Eldar, (and maybe Tau?). and there would DEFIANTLY have to be rules for that inquisitor whom has gazed upon the Black Library.
woo!

**SPOILER WARNING** That inquisitor is Jaq Draco (although I beleive others have seen the library, AFAIK, only Draco has been named and written bout. And, although it's been a few years since I read it, I'm fairly certain Jaq Draco dies at the end of the inquisition war series

really? there was an inquisitor that was recent I thought, that had been their and was recently captured by Arahman of the Thousand Sons... the letter saying such from one of his subordinates was in one of the codices.

My main 40k army is Deathwatch. What i've heard from high ups in the GW chain of command is exactly what salvage suggests. Expect to see a Codex: Inquisition, combining all 3 books, to be released soon after the new ork codex... possibly last quarter of 2008. I have my entire army painted as deathwatch, shoulders and all... but use a vanilla marine list with Honour your Wargear and Scions of Mars traits.
Pics forthcoming! I <3 Deathwatch
IronGribdate unknown
Thats awesome Deathwatch is kool too, but one thing is they gotta make the Xenos Hunters Codex to combine all 3. Wish they do it earlier.
Boss_Salvagedate unknown
Go me!
I think it's appropriate to have Codex:Inquisition follow Codex:Orks finally hitting the shelves. With Chaos and all the Xenos re-released (Tau, Nids, Eldar, Orks ... Necrons at some point, but bugger those robots) it'd be high time for the Ordos Malleus and Xenos to show up to kick some butt. Also Hereticus, but Sisters need not specialize I suppose

Greasus... there are only 2 books out. They never released Ordo Xenos, aside from a WD article about running a squad of Deathwatch as an HQ choice.

yea and like chaos dwarfs they might not even make one but i hope they do but i think chaos dwarfs might have a better chance then Ordos Xenos but keep your ears and eyes open and hope.

I think we'll seem some codex:alienhunters before too long. It is a great oppurtunity for Gw to release a whole new model range qwithout much work needed to the rules (as the basis for most of the stuff is ther ei nthe other books).

So, I took my Ordo Xenos to Gamesday LA... half to kick butt, and half to prime the pump for collecting information about the new codex from staffers. Here is what I heard:
1) The new Inquisition codex will indeed include all 3 orders (Ordo Xenos, Ordo Hereticus, and Ordo Malleus). 2) The book has been written, but is too powerful as it now stands, and will be playtested and toned down. 3) Expect release date to be end of 2008.
I will be taking lots of pics in the next few hours and starting an Ordo Xenos gnoblog, for those interested
