Welcome all,
While the Ogres survivors are making a comeback home from their gory Campaigns throughout the Old World. The infamous Tyrant Grandfather Malron of the Eyebiter Tribe as for over sixty years put a tightest-knit over all the Trade Caravans making passage along The Sentinels Hills. After a harsh argument with four Tradelords about a dark pact made from the time of the first migration Grandfather Malron decide to put a final statement to this different by offering to settle the dispute with a racing contest within The Mountain of Mourn. Calling the bluff the four Tradelords put to themselves to each one find the best Ogre rider of the Old World to win the contest and in doing so win the settlement of the dispute.
The contest for BATTLE OF THE TYRANT II bring a new hope for all to compete in a good and fun bashing way between the legendary members of the Ogre Stronhold. In preparation for this special Contest The Trade Caravans Tradelords are to boost this contest in bringing it to a new level. The contest will be spread over a period of 5 months, starting on the 1st of August 2007 and ending on the 1st of January 2008. The contest will contain 3 parts to overcome: Writting, Painting and a Gut-Race. The winner of the 3 rounds shall receive 2 prizes send to him directly by mail by me: one Set of Citadel Wood and one Watchtower. The full value of the prizes is listed at about 85$ Can, plus postage cost. All prizes are brand new, directly from GW store and will be posted to the winner few days after the contest is finish.
FIRST TURN
The first part of the contest will be the writing of a story about your Rider and his Riding Beast making its way to The Sentinels Hills and offering its service to one of the four named Ogre Caravan Tradelords to join the race. Each Tradelords having a different with the Tyrant of The Sentinels Hills as resolve to put things to rest & finish this dispute with the help of a racing contest. All Tradelords are now located in the many market place of the Hills and have posted in each of there own market area posters requiring the services of a beast rider for a racing contest. Mark on the poster is the news that the winning rider will receive a watchtower tradepost for himself in a given region. The story must contain no less then 2000 words or more. This first part shall end on the 01 of October 2007. All participants must have their story sent directly to me by PM before this time. All storys will be judge and the best 20 of them will have the chance to achieve the second part of this Contest. The best entry will be announced on the 15 of October 2007.
The story must contain:
- From witch part of the Old World your Ogre Rider come from;
- From witch Tribe, Trading Post or Mercenary band your Rider as work for in the past;
- An account on how your Rider got its Riding Beast;
- An account on how your Rider as reach The Sentinels Hills;
- An narrative as to witch Tradelord he is going to offer is Riding service to;
- An narrative explaining how he is reaching the footsteps of one of the Tradelord hide-out.
The story must not contain:
- Any direct physical description of the Tradelord;
- Any direct link to work for Grandfather Malrond of the Eyebiter Tribe.
The Ogre Caravan Tradelords are:
- Barabus of The Mammoth Tribe, Slaves Tradelord of the Mountain of Mourn
(Established in a fur tent within the Slave Market Place named Bloodstone Square)
- Bradok of the Squiggoth Tribe, Beasts Tradelord of the Mountain of Naggaroth
(Established in the hold of a small fortress house named Fanghorn Hut)
- Damna of the Knarloc Tribe, Artifacts Tradelord of the Sinking Marshes of Khernarch
(Established in the rear of a bar in the western quarter named Black-Iron Brew)
- Gorrock of the Skilla Tribe, Weapon Trader & Pirate Lord of the Old Water Ways
(Established in the south market place within an old rockish hide-out call The Slug Pit)

SECOND TURN
The second part of the contest will be the conversion and painting of an Ogre Thunderlord with its Riding Beast. This Ogre shall represent the thunderlord that came to support one of the four given Ogre Caravan Tradelords against Grandfather Malron of the Eyebiter Tribe. The Ogre Rider and its Beast shall represent the character that will compete within the road race taken place between the Mountain of Mourn Skycastle and The Sentinels Hills. This second part shall end upon the 15 of November 2007. All participants must have their Rider with Beast pictures sent directly to me by PM before this time. All painted pictures sent will be judge following the next 5 days following the end date. The best 10 entry will gain the chance to enter in the third part of the contest and will be announce on the 20 of November 2007.
To be sent & receive:
Four (4) pictures of your angles of choice demonstrating your Rider and its Beast. The Rider and Beast must be presented on all pictures but your Rider is not force to be shown as mounting the beast. Fault to submit 4 pictures showing the Rider and the Beast will make you loose your rights to procede to the third part of the contest.
THIRD TURN
The third part of the contest will be a racing run between 6 contestants that have overcome the first and second rounds of the Contest and the Riders of Granfather Malron. This bloody race will be held between The Mountain of Mourn Skycastle and the legendary Sentinels Hills. Each contestants will have his Rider Heroe bashing its Beast in speed to the final line upon a given map. Dicing their way throw the given road they will advance themselves against the other participant and the Forces of Grandfather Malron. When two or more contestant arrive on the same spot they will have the chance to fight each others to keep up, stay within the race and arrive in first place or group themselves together and fight the trickery of Grandfather Malron. All move will be given within this thread and will direct the change upon the map made for the occasion. One post within this thread will keep all change made in order as well as update made to the main map. This third part shall start on the 25 November 2007 and shall end on the 23 December 2007. The contest winner will then be promoted as Heroe within The Sentinels Hills and shall lead way to his new Watchtower Fortress in the land of his choice. The winner shall receive is reward after the end of the contest.

Your Riding Beast must be a ground based character that represent one beast only and not be able to fly. Some example of riding beast are given here: Rhinox, Carnosaur, Mammox, Squiggot, Knarlok, Stegadon, Hydra, Converted Beast, etc
RIDER EQUIPMENT
Each Thunderlords wear light armour and carry an Ogre club. Combine with the hide of their beast it confer them a 4+ armour save when mounted.
- May choose has riding weapon either an additional hand weapons (+8pts) or hand weapon with an ironfist (+10 pts).
- May upgrade their light armour to heavy armour (+6pts)
- May be given 1 Lucky Gnoblar and/or 2 Sword Gnoblar (+5pts per Gnoblar).

Mammoth Ring: 35pts
The model may ignore the first wound it suffers as the power of the ancestral White Mammoth refill the heart of the wearer with rushing Mammoth livid drive & audacity.
Mountain Beast Saddle: 35pts
This well built saddle made from Greybacks bones & furs and tainted of blood give a -1 To Hit the wearer in a riding close combat. The Rider and the Riding Beast are immune to the magical Ice Weapon of Yhetees and count them as non-magical.
Mammoth Horn Amulet: 10pts
This item confer one 4+ Regeneration save that can be taken at any time.
Tradelord Carrion: 15pts
This flying creature is use as bird of prey and messengers between the tradelords. This Small Carrion count as having one extra Sword Gnoblar on the Rider.
Tradelord Bradok of the Squiggot Tribe

Any model which loses a wound after being hit by an Ogre club with this venom (after save,ect) must roll equal or under its toughness on a 2d6 or receive 5 wounds. Two use only..
Squiggoth Lifetaker Crossbow: 50pts
This Riding Ogre crossbow can be shot once every two turns (need 1 turn of not fighting to recharge) and always hit on a 2+ regardless of the To Hit modifiers. Range: 18 inch, Strenght: 5
Squiggot Skin Armor Plate: 30pts
These adding pieces of armor confer any hits the characters suffers to be resolve with 1 Strength. Can be added to any armor already carry.

The wearer of this heavy armor mades from bones taken upon the skeleton of the Undying Legion confer a Regeneration save of 5+
Golden Amulet of Nehekhara Tomb Guard: 30pts
The model receive 5+ ward save roll.

Any model losing one or more wounds (after saves, ect) to a weapon with this poison becomes subject to the rules for stupidity as it burst into the enemy muscles for the remainder of the race. Two use only

Every photo image and story sent are to be free of charge to participate without any retrospect of action. The Named Stronghold member Barabas formally demand that each picture or story sent be writted in a well manner to be posted on the stronghold forum and well named before being receive so that no problem occur when the time to decide a winner is made.
