Greasus the Big Friendly Ogre?

I've been looking through my ogre army book and have just read the whole of Greasus' page, which has not a mention of the words fear or terror. Either they forgot to put it in, or Greasus is so fat that he couldn't possibly make you frightened of him. I've read and re-read it 3 times now, please can someone else read it to make sure I'm not mad. And if it turns out not to be in there, then what does he cause?

I would presume that he causes fear like other normal ogres. See him like a step higher than the mighty tyrant.

I guess he doesn't cause fear then. He's not listed with the rule and those bright sparks never refer to him as an Ogre, so you can't claim he follows the Brutish Hordes rules. But that's not such a bad thing, Greasus is more of a 'Stand by and Watch' type leader. You want him behind your real forces so he can see them all and make sure they all auto-rally and get more CR. Him in combat is more a last resort, slap him at the back of the last unit, charge 8" and go out with a bang, if you get the chance that is.

Yep, certainly his main strengths are his leaderhip qualities.  He works much better in a high point game, where you have MANY oppotunities to use said abilities.  Kind of funny about the whole fear thing, actually kind of stupid!  Oh well!

Well doesn't it say at the beginning that ALL ogres cause fear? (I don't have my codex handy sorry so i cant check).

I would asume he at least causes fear, as even the lowly bulls do.

Try cheking Skrags profile, see if it has either listed for him?

Skrag causes Terror.

In the Brutish Hordes section it does say 'All Ogres' but even then Cause fear is listed in the individual profiles, but not under Greasus. It's the Read As Written system at its best.

Amongst my friends and I, the fat man will still cause fear.

Yeah, I mean something that obese has to cause revulsion, and the effects of that should reasonably equate to fear. It's just a matter of "uurrgh" rather than "aaargh!"

Well, that's what I assumed, about all ogres causing fear. But usually it lists ALL of the rules that a character has in their description, just to make sure

technically there is a work around for this that DOES make greasus an ogre - and therefore subject to the brutish horde rules - he is listed in his rules as having a bull charge, and only ogres ahve a bull charge - hence greasus is an official ogre and therefore causes fear

a stretch I know, but workable!

Or just don't point out that Greasus is missing the fear rule, I never noticed 'til now!

Yeah, that's about it. You can just imagine Greasus doing the revolting stuff like the Fatty in question.

Because I also noticed that in Skrag's profile it does say that Skrag causes Terror but that's probably just to point out that he doesn't only cause fear
