Help give a new race a home

I've been compelled recently to design a new race in Warhammer based upon Polynesian culture (Mainly Hawai'i and the Maori as they are the easiest to find sources on) but I've hit a bit of a creative speedbump in trying to put them on the map, mainly because the Warhammer World is not a replica of Earth and as such the area where Polynesia would be is open ocean crowned with a huge whirlpool (Our own Maw) west of that we suddenly hit Nippon and the Lost Isles and east is Lustria

So far i've narrowed it down to a shortlist;
The Turtle Isles
Sulpheret Islands (Including Rumbling Isle and the Isle of Great Beasts)
The Lost Isles of Elithis (I suppose they look slightly like New Zealand, if you've never seen New Zealand)

If people could come forward with votes, their own suggestions or any existing fluff on the regions, I would appreciate it.

P.S. Sorry if this isn't really a 'Maw Pit Saga' but I thought it was best here as it deals with background material.

I reckon it should be the Lost Isles of Elithis. Then u could give them lots of looted Elven Magic items!

There's the spar of land just southwest of that on the sout side of the "Gates of Calith." Would explain them being a hardy people, constantly beset by Fiends from the warp, or why they worship the chaos powers, whichever way you go.
