I won my first tournament!!! Ok I can’t get too excited there was suppose to be 8 players, ended up with just me and one other person. Everyone else was playing 40K so I didn’t win overall but would have won between the two of us play since I was 1 win and 1 draw.
But we had fun. And I’ve been looking forward to playing against my opponent’s big green orc wall. The first game I won a massacre. I like the set up it was basically a pitch battle but we deploy in opposing corners of the table. The only terrain was in our deployment zone. I was able to get my trappers behind his spear chukkas, add wiped them out. Then smashed the rest of his line. I was able to negate his magic all threw the game. My Rhinox Riders rocked, smashing everything in their path! And Bogut fell to my Tyrant, that’s not too much of a surprise.
The second game everything went horribly wrong. In the first round one of my butcher blew his head up. That’s always a nice way to start the game off. So this leaves me with one butcher with two dispel scrolls to face an orc lord shaman, not good!!!! With Mork and Gork stomping all over my poor Ogres, taking out my other mage! My hunter gets defeated and ran down by 20 arrer archers, oh no! The shame of it all, and to top it off half my line turns and runs. But one unit comes in to save the day! Trumpets sound and the orc look up with fear in their eyes, as the hairy giants rhinox riders smash into their rank sending blood bodies soaring threw the sky, with a toss of their gigantic heads. I really thought I had lost this game, I had some really bad luck and was a real bad at judge at distance tonight, all my units got charged except for my rhinox riders. But like I said my rhinox riders were able to do some really damage before they left the field, this was a break threw kind of a game so their high cost really helped out as well as killing off a couple of units.
Well this was a fun night of gaming I really enjoyed it, even the bad parts it was at a point where you couldn’t help but laugh at my luck!
