First of all, Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2006 is a good year for you all, and let the dice Gods smile upon you 
So to celebrate the new year, I've decided to present you all with our brand new forum. A big thanks to Bugman from Bugmans Brewery (www.bugmansbrewery.com - a fantastic website, go visit it!) for setting it up for me.
So why the change? Well the old forum just wasn't keeping up to date with rival forum technology, it was never really my own (it was hosted remotely by a forum provider) so I had very limited control over all aspects of it, and the owners of the forum provider (Boardnation) seem to have vanished so there's no longer any decent tech support.
However, this new forum is well and truly under my full control, so if something goes wrong you'll know who is to blame
There are so many improvements I don't know where to begin, so I think I'll let you all discover them for yourselves and I hope you enjoy the change
There are some obvious downsides - all members will have to re-register and I can't transfer all the old posts over from the old forum (remember when I was saying about a lack of control?
). However I am willing to reinstate post counts - if you want your post count reinstated and I haven't done it yet, please send me a PM providing me with your previous username (if you've changed it). Imposters beware, I do have access to all IP details both here and at the old forum, so I'll know straight away who you really are ).
If there are any specific topics you'd like to see make their way over here from the old forum (even though the old forum will remain online as an archive) then let me know and I'll do my best to summarise them as I have done with other threads that have already migrated to this new forum.
BTW there are still some cosmetic changes to be made here, I'll be working on those over the next few days.
