just wondering - any reason for fielding the rhinox riders seperatly rather than as a unit?

I like the separate Rhinox as they now give two flanks to be concerned about. Before everything concentrated on them with fire and magic and killing just one very likely panic the other losing both while even just one is still very good.  I team them up with an Iron gut unit for a one two punch.  If one is blown away the other is still there. I send the IGs out and if charged by a hard unit then they flee and I counter charge with the Rhinox.  If they do not charge I combo charge with both.  Yesterday The IGs got charged by a 5 man chosen Chaos Knight unit. They fleed and got away to rally later.  The Rhinox promptly killed 4 on the charge and took no wounds himself and ran down the unit capturing their flag, he later combo charged his maurader unit which fleed never to rally, then his already wounded Chaos Lord on a wounded Deamonic Mount charged him in the last turn and put just two wounds on him with his Rending Sword.  The Rhinox killed off the mount for one wound but because he out numbered and was a musician and a fear causer the now non-Immune to Psychology Lord ran on foot and was run down.  The other Rhinox on the other side combo charged a chaos warrior unit with full command and took the unit down to half in two rounds of combat.  They won the first round but the warriors stayed then the lord comes charging in and wipes out the Iron Guts but the Rhinox stays on insane courage.  The next turn he survives the combat but is run down.  By then the other flank has crumbled for the Chaos mortals.

Shorty after stating I would use the BSB I got permission to change the list.  The BSB just was not working for me.  I like the model but the magic others say they are going to use scared me so I wanted more magic defense.

So far 1 loss against goblins???, 1 win against dwarves, 1 draw against lizards.  More tommorrow.

a loss against goblins with that lsit seems pretty weird - you'll have to tell us what happened when you get a chance.

Wish you more victories man!

One more win against wood elves and another draw against magic heavy tomb kings. With great soft scores good enough for 8th place and Best Army award.  It came as a complete shock and did not even know until I got home since I figured I had no hope of winning anything and left before the awards ceremony.

I do not feel so bad about losing to the goblins now that the guy I lost to won the overall.

I shall endeavor to write something up on it tommorrow.

Only being beaten by the overall winner is very impressive, and to think people complain Goblins aren't worth it any more!

i am wondering about what gets placed where. and how did you fight against camping armies. like... shotty dwarf gunlines, or HE magic where they camp in the back, without using gorgers. since they dont really take the bait on MSU tactics.
