Randolph Fitzgerald winced as one of his kitchen flag stones exploded . The thought that his head had been on the kitchen floor lying on the very same tile was not what caused the merchant to wince , no this was secondary. Foremost in his mind was the cost , the manpower and the time it had taken to get them shipped from Stirland and installed into the kitchen of his town house.
As the huge bulk of the female ogre mercenary loomed over Fitzgerald , raising a three seater breakfast bench above her head , the textile mogul , realising he had no time to get off the floor before he would become a stain on his beloved flagstone flooring, rolled to his left .
As he rolled he snagged his silk cloak on the shards of the smashed flagstone , causing him to wince again. Once his roll was complete he yanked the Nipppon spun cloak from under the smashed breakfast bench as it destroyed yet another flagstone , again causing a wince.
This was getting expensive.
Randolph risked a glance to his right and realised the yard door was shut , but not locked. This cost him the sight out of his left eye for the best part of a week. The fist that struck him was the size of his cat , "fluffy". As the wealthy buisness man sailed through the air he wondered if his beloved pet would miss him on his pending journey to Cathay.
The kitchen door that led to the courtyard was of good , solid oak. It had been a guardian against the icy winds for two generations of Fitgeralds before Randolph inherited the lavish townhouse that the door was set to the rear of.
Perhaps it was the hinges that where to blame for the ease in which the back door was ripped from the frame ,thought Fitzgerald as he crashed throught the portal , breaking two ribs and dislocating his right arm.
This was getting too expensive.
Hens and geese squaked and flapped in terror as the monstous form of the female ogre ducked and squeezed through the entrance way from the kitchen , blinking against the sunlight that filled the muddy courtyard.
" Okay , okay Annarha , ten gold and that is my final offer !"
Oh how Randolph hated fee negoitations with ogres.

If it moves , kill it , then eat it...
if it fights back , laugh at it , kill it , then eat it.
