Chaos Ogre Bushi

I made these last year before I started my Ogre Kingdom army.  These are for my Chaos army.  I am a fan of the Legend of the Five Rings CCG and when I saw the, at the time, new Ogre Bulls I decided that I wanted my Chaos Ogres to look like some of the ogre bushi card art from L5R.

So with some extra Beastman horns and some scratch building material, I made these Chaos Ogre Bushi.  I have made a unit of six.  The weapon that I made for them is a tetsubo, an oriental war club.  The top of the weapon is representing banded metal around a metal cylinder.

Cool! Reminds me of playing Onimusha.

Thaose are some nice coversions. How are you going to go about apinting them?

As for painting, one idea that I have is to paint the skin a light blue and the pants a deep purple.  The major color for my Chaos army is purple so I might do that to tie them into the army.  The other painting idea is to paint the skin red or a pale yellow with the purple pants.

Go with the pale yellow. I did something like the cover of the Ogres Army Book.

Seriously, these look good. They really have an oni vibe. I'd go with the pale yellow skin as it not only goes with purple, but won't blend into the pants like blue skin would.

I guess that would be best.  I was concerned if I painted them blue and purple that they would look to Tzeencth.  I am painting my Chaos army to be able to be any of the powers.  I am trying to keep non-specific units as generic as possible.
