The Steelbreaker Tribe - 2000 pts OK Army List up for rating
The Steelbreaker Tribe Urf Steelbreaker Neckwringer Giantbreaker Drakewrestler the Loud, the Tyrant whose immense bulk is matched only by his ego, leads the Steelbreaker tribe to battle, aided by the two Butchers Grokfol Elfchomper and Gruf Bloodspitter. His army relies heavily on close-combat prowess, flanked by the mighty leadbelchers and backed up by the numerous Gnoblars.
Core 5 Bulls, Ironfists, Light Armour, Bellower, Standard Bearer 5 Ironguts, Bellower, Standard Bearer, Cannibal Totem 30 Gnoblar Fighters, Groinbiter 10 Gnoblar Trappers, Snarefinger
Special 2 Leadbelchers 2 Leadbelchers
Rare 3 Maneaters, Heavy Armour, 1 Cathayan Longsword, 2 Great Weapons 1 Slavegiant
Strategy Well, my army is centered around the Irongut army, which the Tyrant joins. It's basically a hard-hitting CC unit for holding up enemies while I set up flank charges. The Bull unit (in which the scroll caddy goes) does exactly the same, but they also flank-charge people now and then. The Gnoblars are, quite obviously, there for outnumbering, and the Leadbelchers guard my flanks. The Maneaters are basically a bunch of bad-tempered sods that take out small, unprotected units, or simpy join in the fray to break some heads. And lastly, the Slavegiant, well, I wouldn't want to be in his way, that's all I'm saying.
Cheers!

Seems solid. I wouldn't give your tyrant skullplucker, all it does is make him kill something on a six instead of it getting an armour save. If you gave him a regular great weapon you are strength 8 with giantbreaker! Better yet you could give him siegebreaker for the same amount of points as skullplucker and now you are strength 9! Anyone with a 1+ save now has nothing! I just think there are way better options than spending 30 points on giving your tyrant killing blow.
Current Projects: heavily converted Iron Warriors, Lizardmen, stripping and repainting Vampire Counts
Done: Vampire Counts, Ogre Kingdoms
To Do: 3000 points skaven still shrink wrapped, 3000 points Orcs (w/50 Black Orcs, waiting for plastic BOs)

Hmm...
Heavy Armour, Great Weapon, 2 Sword-Gnoblars, Luck-Gnoblar, Giantbreaker Big Name, The Tenderiser, Wyrdstone Necklace?

S9 is overkill most of the time. In fact even S8 is overkill most of the time. With S7 you will wound anything on 2+ bar stuff with T6 or higher, and how often does your tyrant battle cannons?
I wouldn't bother taking the Giantbreaker bigname, because I don't think slavegiants are worth it. If I took it, I would take the Sword of Striking to go with it. In this way I would have high strenght and high chance of hitting.
On your list, it is interesting but small. Interesting because you field an entire unit of Maneaters. I would personally never do this. Too expensive, and I would rather have some more bulls.
I would also rather have two units of 20 gnoblars rather than one of 30.
So here's what I would do if I were you:
Get at least an additional unit of Bulls Take another unit of Gnoblars Throw away the Slavegiant or the Maneaters (or both) If you can find the points, get a Scraplauncher
Hope it helps!
Cheers, Meatfist

I had to Google Big Red Book to figure out it meant the WFB rulebook - I thought it had something to do with Mao.

Thanks!
You know, I suppose I could take a Gorger instead of the Maneaters, but I WANT a Slavegiant (*drools* Mmm, plastic giant...)!
Alright, so how about a Tyrant with Heavy Armour, Great Weapon, Giantbreaker (might as well, since I'm going to have a Giant anyway), Daemon-Killer Scars, and a Siegebreaker?
I'll get to work on finding the points for another Bull unit! ;P

If you really want a slavegiant, you should definately take the Giantbreaker bigname. But I would bother taking the Siegebreaker as well. As I said, S9 is overkill unless you expect your tyrant to fight cannons all the time.
I would rather take the Sword of Striking.

No, probably not, but my friend will most likely have a Black Coach when I play against him.
I could take a Cathayan longsword instead of a Sword of Striking, gives you both +1 WS and +1 I, not bad for 10 pts, and then I still have 100 pts left for magic items/a Big Name.
So: Heavy Armour, Cathayan Longsword, Giantbreaker, Daemon-Killer Scars, and a Talisman (most likely Wyrdstone Necklace or 2 Gnoblar Thiefstones)?

Sounds reasonable to me.
If your mate plays VC, go for the Theifstones, since you need that magic protection.

Nice list, but I agree that I would take two units of 20 (24) Gnobos. Also I couldn't imagine ever taking two Butchers and not taking the Bangsticks...
Just my two pence though.

Daaamn. That's like, four items already.
Bloodcleaver, Halfling Cookbook, Bangstick and Skullmantle.
Too bad he's not a Slaughtermaster.

I also used to take the cookbook as standard, but you know what, I don't bother anymore, and it really hasn't affected my gaming signifiantly at all, I now tend to find it a waste of points.

My two cents here:
Bangstick beats Cookbook hands down. If your luck is awful and your butcher tends to die from his own spells the book is good but else go Bangstick.
Bloodcleaver is not really worth it. Fluffy and all, but the Siegebreaker is better altogether. And you can take it together with the Skullmantle.
Generally I see the Skullmantle as a definite must. Else it's a struggle between Dispell Scrolls and the other funny trinkets.

Yeah, again on the cleaver, I used to often take this, but more often than not didn't use it, as try to keep the butcher out of combat.

Yeah, that's probably what'll happen.
Actually, I think I'm gonna take a Bruiser instead of one of the Butchers, and then I'll give the Butcher the Bangstick, I think, to 'stick' that extra 'bang' in there! XD
Hmm... I s'pose I could convert the Bangstick from a Bull banner pole... But we'll see when I've actually bought the Butcher box, yes?
