Thargruff snarled as the humans try to get at his masters back. This was enough to force them back and give him time to whip his huge sword off his back and smash six of their heads.
The ogres had disembarked from their ship thinking they would catch the coastal town by surprise. Leaving most of the mates back on board, they sprinted through the ports, only to be surprised by an ambush of humans a couple hundred strong. Being confined by the buildings on either side of them, and the tightly packed humans in front of, and behind them, some of the ogres started to panic, and those that did were chopped down.
Thargruff looked around and could see the band had been reduced from forty ogres to about ten. Everywhere around him, he could see the gunpowder from the ogres handguns wafting in the air. It struck him suddenly: the captain had failed yet another raid and they would have to go hungry, once again. The thought of hunger bumped furiously around in his brain, blocking out all other thoughts that his small brain could produce. Thargruff went into a crazed frenzy sprinting at the group of humans, swinging his giant, blunt, rusted blade madly about him.
Easily crushing and smashing his way through the small band, his sword was finally stopped on the shining blue armor of some important looking human. He tries to step on him, but his foot was stopped half way there and violently bounced off of an invisible shield. This only infuriated Thargruff more, who effortlessly ripped chunks out of the walls around him and started hurling them at this annoying human. Eventually the force of the stone was too much and the human wizard collapsed, only to be stomped and chopped to a bloody death.
The death of their leader sent most of the men fleeing. The rest, scattered and disorganized, were butchered by the remaining ogres. The Captain, to congratulate Thargruff, gave him a friendly jab to the ogre. Thargruff, still absorbed by his one thought (hunger), gave Captain Grub (who was nearly a head taller than Thargruff) a walloping punch to Grubs chin, which was followed by a very loud CRUNCH sound. Grub, who naturally took this as a challenge, swung his giant club somewhat in Thargruffs direction, only to miss his head by a couple of inches. Thargruff, finally calmed down from his craze, took this as an insult which was returned with a crushing punch to Grubs gut and many other shots all over his body. Thargruff eventually broke pretty much every bone in his old captains body and eventually brought his opponent to the ground. Grub, once a proud ogre tyrant, was now only a heap of bloody, deformed flesh on the road. Thargruff then whacked this lump a couple more times to make sure he got his point through.
Apparently, while Thargruff beat Grub down to a disgraceful heap of nothingness, Thargruff leg was nearly torn off and his left eye was gouged out of his head. Thargruff, exhausted, was then dragged back to the boat surgeon where he was healed with a wooden pole and a rag around his eye.
Thargruff later woke up from his sleep to the shout of TYRANT, HUR, HUR, HUR. He later found out that this was directed at him.

A Pirate's life is a life for me (what with all the money, excitement, bandanas and knives...)
