original thread ↗

so, i am going to buy some ogres.

very soon

and im exited

but i dont want to go crazy and buy all the wrong things so im always losing, like i did with my other team :x (0-0-11 Win-draw-loss   )

im thinking of buying a Battalion and a tyrant, and maybe something extra, but what?

that is my question to you, but nothing too expensive, like 3 yhettes  :?

p.s: how did my post count get up to 53 or such?
Buy and read the army book first, then Read up on the differnt unit hear on the sight. That way you can make an informed choice when you buy your fat guys. Me I would buy the battalion set and then some trappers and a Tyrant to start. Then by a unit at a time to fill in any gaps.
It's a good start what you're buying.. I'm gonna suggest you play some 1k battles (which is more or less what you have planned to buy) to get a feel for the army :)

What do you think ive been doing for the past 2 months...

yes, i was thinking some trappers would be helpful, either that or a gorger or Butcher... which?

ill post up an army list too of about 1k consisting of things im going to buy
It's hard to go wrong with lots of bulls.  The only issue is what to arm them with.

I believe either naked or fully tooled are the only 2 sensible options.  But that gives a problem if you want to arm them differently.  The solution - I've just ordered some very small earth magnets.  I'm going to paint up both the Iron fist and the bare hand so I can swap 'em around - without having to buy extra ogres!

Anyway hope you enjoy your move to the fast guys  8)

there was another question in there... :D

should i get Trappers, a gorger or a butcher?
Don't remember what the batalion box has in it, however, I'd recomend converting your own butcher for starters and buy the gorger or trappers...I guess I'd go for the trappers...but the gorger is oh so cool.
Cavalry = Fast Food.

I bought the big box, and two boxes of bulls, and that's all I've needed. You'll get plenty of gnoblars out of the battallion, both from the regiment and the bull sprues, enough to make fighters and trappers. For expensive metal models, like butchers, or gorgers, or trappers, if you can't, or won't convert them, play test with proxies because $40 for one character is a helluva lot if you don't like it.

If by RAW, you mean "Reg06's Audacious Whims", then you'd be right.

Get two gorgers
hmm... i am on a money limit... but i'll consider getting ONE Gorger. they do seem very helpful :)

$60..... i dunno....

i still think id prefer a butcher to any of these, and im not converting anything, because i know it will turn out crap. i just dont have a creative mind, or green stuff on hand.

where do you get that green stuff from anyway?
Your local store should have it. It usually hangs near the hobby (as in terrain, scissor, etc) stuff in a blister pack..
