7th edition Ogres speculation.. just for fun.

I can see there being a little more variety, perhaps some hyena riding gnoblars, sabretusk packs, rhinox riders and maybe even some mastodons. This would create a stronger sense of unity in the army, around an ice age theme.

I'd like to see the leadbelchers not have the roll to hit. Another idea would be for there to be 'gnoblar gun numbers' that you could buy that would increase the rate of fire. Number one would mean you could reload while moving base movement, number two could allow you to fire in consecutive turns. Maybe a third could allow you to load more into the gun, rolling two artillery dice... maybe too powerful.
I really wouldn't like an 'ice age' theme for OK, I hate the yehtees as it is cause they just seem tacked on.

I disagree. GW is changing the other armies units as they go, eg. the Helblaster now have to roll to hits etc (if I didn't read it wrong )
I think that Kadriums last post pretty much says my opinion :)
My Pet Gnoblar is called nothing but "food"
I think by definition the gut plate should be counted as LA at least from the front arc so if you upgrade to LA you get a 5+ armour save.
I would also like ME to be treated as a unit of champions as per grail knights so that they can issue challenges (Just good for the fluff in my Bret ogre army I guess)
I like the idea of yetis with AHW would make them work well as flankers (I have to run a rhinox with he war banner to make em work at the moment)
Not sure about more units of Gnoblars. They are just fillers and good for ranks but as fast cav??? OK the new rules about panicking units would work in thier favour I guess.
Lead belchers I think are fine but yer tone down the miss fires a bit I still think rolling to hit is a good idea.
If I didnt have to roll to see when a Gorger came on the table then I might take em so maybe that as well.
And whats wrong with ogrelings so we can have ranked units of ogres???

9 gnobs a swordy my tyrant and 2 pack gnobs

My doctor told me I was paranoid
Well he didnt tell me but I know he was thinking it
I would like to see an ogre close combat unit in the special choices that fills a niche somewhere between ironguts and maneaters.  Perhaps an upgrade like inner circle knights, that gives one unit of ironguts WS4 for an additional point cost and a special slot.  I would also like to see a leadbelcher cannon option for bruisers, just cause it would be cool, and you'd think at least the occasional leadbelcher would survive long enough to be promoted.
