Hi, I am just starting the game and wondering if this is a good list to build on.
Mainly solos because I'm buying things piecemeal to start.

Mage Hunter Assassin 2 PC
Ghost Sniper 2 PC
Already have Rahn and a MHA.
I didn't want to double up on things yet so I can learn rules and strategies first.

Not sure I can help you out here since I'm also a novice at Warmahordes and the Retribution. From what I hear Battle Mages and Rahn work together nicely and have great synergy. Mage Hunters are usually taken in Ret lists since they are cheap and can be used to take out the enemy caster/lock. If they fail, well they were cheap units to begin with but in lower point games every point lost is felt. Not sure about the Ghost Snipers but go ahead and try them. Maybe they will work in your tactics or then again they might not. I'm not entirely in the know about the Phoenix off of the top of my head but go ahead and see what happens.
Things blow up in your face? Make adjustments and retool. Keep playing even if you lose over and over. Every loss will make you better and help you realize what kind playstyle you enjoy or excel at. Sometimes the army or playstyle we gamers end up using is the one we never thought we field or do well with.
