Hi
Ive only played a couple of games using my ogres and that was against nurgle WoC, so you can imagine how that went.
Ive got a game against an ex gw design team member and im pretty sure he will be using some form of elves,so im asking for some advice on what type of list to build.

Firebellies. Lead elchers to shoot pesky fast calv. A mix of bulls and ironguts, since most T3 elves go down fine to ogres, but having a decent gut block to deal with armour (silver helms/cold ones) is very useful.
Ogres have a tough time against elves, good luck!

I haven't played against any Sad Times elf armies, so disregard this if you know that's what he will bring. I've done very well against elf armies, never really a problem (maybe not super competitive opponents).
Leadbelchers are great, but make sure you use them against the right targets (cavalry)
Giants turn into pincushions, but Stonehorns with hunters, and MFC will work very well against their rank and file. Make sure your MFC always keeps bolt throwers in the front Arc though, or it could be painful.
Wild riders go down easily to massed fire. Warlocks at a bit harder to deal with, but can easily be held up with sabretusks or run over by stonehorn/MFC., use them in combination to mitigate flee reactions. Remember that fast cav cannot auto rally if they flee from terror.
Dark Elf Characters will be your biggest threat, hellebron will make quick work of anything she fights.
Gorgers are nice, but you'll want more than one to be effective.
