One of my gaming buddies recently took up a Dwarven army. I realized, HA his march is my move!!! then I thought whoa those are some tough heavily armored midgets... Ogres have high S armor piercing long range guns!!! So any suggestions for a shooting list, specifically, lords and heroes since we don't have any leadbeltcher upgrades available to them.

Heavens slaughtermaster for bubble harmonic convergence. 3x 6 leadbelchers 2 iron blasters maybe a scraplauncher or 2. Poison pistol maneaters

My 2500 ogre shooting list, which was described by a TO as 'a gratutitious Ogre Wang to the face,' is as follows
Slaughtermaster, level 4 of Heavens, dispel scroll, 5-point magic weapon
Bruiser BSB w/Great Weapon, Standard of Discipline, look-out gnoblar
Butcher, level 2 of Maw with Hellheart
Firebelly, level 2
9x Ogres, full command and ironfists
9x Ogres, full command and ironfists
8x leadbelchers, bellower
7x leadbelchers, bellower
1x sabertusk
1x sabertusk

Heavens is primarily for bubble harmonic convergence (which is amazing), though there are other spells that are decent. The SM carries the DS so that folks don't know which level 2 has the HH. Most folks assume the HH is on the firebelly, giving the Butcher a better chance of getting in range. You want the FB so you can clear chaff with fireball and hopefully get sword of ruin. Plus, you might get the amazing and hysterical combination of flame cage and wind blast.
Use the leadies primarily to SOFTEN units; only worry about killing units that you absolutely don't want to engage. The blocks of Ogres are big enough and tough enough to absorb damage and dish it out in return. Plss, by having two primary combat blocks, you have a sacrificial lamb if you need one, to help secure your flank.

Wow, an Ogre list that focuses on shooting. Never heard of anyone using that kind of force. Hey Nihmwit, do you think that this list is good enough for a newcomer to collect as his first Ogre army? I'm seriously considering building this force and trying it out.
