Back after a decade!

Hey guys, I'm Izzy or Joe. Currently returning after a ten year departure. I'm starting to collect ogres and my lovely other half is collecting the dirty rat men. Recently I have been soaking up painting tutorials which is developing into a bit of an obsession, its something I am really interested in getting good at. I chose ogres as I love the idea of the big hulking mountain men and I like the bigger models to practice painting. My theme for my army I believe is going to be pale ogres, wrapped in furs with snow, ice and rock covered bases.
As for personal stuff, I have been a forester, a telecommunications engineer and I am now studying environmental science. I have also just been diagnosed with acrophobia and intense panic attacks so I'm dealing with that in my spare time

Anyway, looking forward to being an active member of your community and hopefully sharing my journey from painting buffoon to master!

Many fantasy forums are on a low with 9th being so close and putting people off

Yeah I picked the perfect time to start collecting! I'm not phased by 9th too much. It won't affect my pproject

I had a long break too (not as long as ten years ) as I've been working in China for the past 6 years but have gotten into the hobby over here!
