New to warhammer

original thread ↗

Hi guys I'm new to warhammer and have created a 4000+ point ogre army in less than 2 months haha. Would really love to know what books I could read that mainly follows the ogre kingdoms so I could get up to date with the lore behind them. I've been searching but can't seem to find anything. I want to just read about ogres if possible. Thanks in advance.
Also where do I find pics of guys ogre armies and where do I post mine?
Welcome to the Stronghold!

For finding pictures of other members' armies, the best place to check is the Gnoblogs section (you can even check mine, with the link underneath my avatar on the left! It's not the best or most exciting, but hey, it's mine lol). You can also select the "Gallery" link above the title near the top of the screen, but that section is from a LONG time ago with a lot of nice pics from old forumites.

As for books with the lore, I have no idea lol... I just have both editions of the Ogre Kingdoms army book, and the first edition had a lot of great fluff in it. As for Black Library books, I don't think they really have any that have any major focus on Ogres; I think that any Ogres featured in them are a sidepiece at best.

...Granted, I guess it would be fitting for Ogres not to have any books of lore, since their lore comes mostly from oral tradition :P
38 Gnobs! Almost on my 4th Pack of Trappers! Exciting

New book WLD: 21/11/3 - Got trounced by one of the "Khaine" elf armies... Stupid new rules...

Damn that's an impressive amount of bodies in such a small amount of time.  Keen to see some pictures of them.  Best you start a Gnoblog sir.

Thanks guys. Yeah I had been looking for books to read but sucks that I couldn't find much about the ogres.
Will post up some pics soon. I started my army with the ogre starter kit and added a Bsb, slaughter master, cannon and 2 mournfang. Then bought an army off a guy which included 4 mournfang, cannon, giant, 3 gorgers, 12 lead belchers, 16 ironguts, 16 bulls, 3 sabretusks and about 60 gnoblars. All for only $230 I couldn't pass it up. All were assembled but unpainted. So don't really need much more. Maybe a stone tusk and a fire belly would be nice.
