New ogre lover

Hello all!

So a friend of mine (Bretonnian) has been always in tabletop wargames, and a year ago me and another friend got interested in WHF and started looking which army fitted us most.

I chose Ogre Kingdoms for their aesthetics (they're fucking awesome), I didn't consider if I would enjoy playing them since I didn't know at all how the game worked. Luckily I love playing Ogre Kingdoms (If I had liked HE, for example, I wouldn't have enjoyed them so much).

A year after:
-I have bought 2 battalion boxes, 1 ogre box, 2 ironblasters, 1 thundertusk, 2 mournfang boxes, 1 giant, 1 slaughtermaster, 1 bruiser (no GW) and 3 sabretusks (No GW).

-I'have been reading a lot of topics here in the Ogre Stronghold in order to learn as much as possible. There is a great atmosphere in this forum!

-I'm hoping 9th won't be very bad for us.

There are a lot of us holding up here until 9th hits, as a Tyrant all i can suggest is bring a lot of food. For some of us that food is non-WFB sometimes Ogre content. Blood bowl, Mordheim etc

Either way we all love sharing in the hobby in more so with Ogres. You seem to have amassed yourself a nice tribe maybe start a gnoblog to show off your work. If you are still painting, there is a lot of inspiration from other blogs to hopefully inspire you to push yourself. I hope to post some more of my Ogres in the coming weeks

I still have work to do with mounting and painting, I have already taken a look for inspiration, especially for maneaters and characters conversions. I hope to have finished my army by the end of summer!

As minigiant has said we will be looking forward to seeing your progress.  I really like the Sabertusk models you have gone with.  I also love the Avatars model.  I use him myself as my BSB.
