Scroll of leeching

Has anyone looked into the usefulness of this item? I thought that this with the Elkhart and a dispelled scroll could make for a dominating dispell phase. Wait until the opponent rolls for a pretty dominating magic phase (ex. 6&4 for winds of magic) MOST people tend to use a smaller spell that they kinda want, but mostly try to bleed dispelled dice off of you. Throw 2-3 dice at it or something. As you don't care either, pop this scroll off, and gain those 2-3 dice in your pool. Evening up the pools, or even putting them in your favor. Just some thoughts I had. I'm wondering if anyone has done math or experimented with it at all.

Its going to be hard for Ogres to take, given the overall cost of our Arcane Item toting characters. The dispel scroll is cheaper and more reliable and the hellheart is more powerful. Frog scroll is also potentially hilarious.

If your opponent has a magic phase, there will be one phase that you have to control defensively. The leeching scroll doesn't guarantee you can control that phase - it only helps mitigate the nightmare magic phase.
