are you worried

original thread ↗

Are you guys as worried about the next edition as I am. Its looking more and more as ogres as we know it now is coming to an end if the gossip is even half right. I've spent to much on my ogres for them to be dropped or mixed with a different race
Agreed. Everyone is so heavily invested in the current fluff for all their armies that for GW to change everything and reboot them all is... Frankly a little scary yes. However I imagine they will have some crossover period. Says to use your army as you currently have it in the new edition...so definitely not a waste! And we can always still play 8th...

(...) And we can always still play 8th...
Most likely that.

Unfortunately for fluff enthusiasts (me included), over the years GW has proven one too many times it doesn't seem to give a crap about it. But even worst than that, they also dont care about the dramatic changes on the game that they induce, every time a new army book or rules edition gets out.
My oldest army in my shelves is Chaos (started play them when Chaos was "undivided", as in "every thing in one single army book", not this Warriors/Beastmen/Daemon everyone apart thing), and I've lost cont of the times all of the sudden, with a new book out, half my army units became useless.

So getting back on track and as quoted above, if rumours to the new Ed. get to be accurate, to remain in the 8th Ed. might end up being a sensible option for some of the most scrambled army's.
Nah.. Ive been too busy playing Mordheim and sculpting to panic..
You don't know what you don't know, until you know it...
This was the "end Times" It pretty much did what it said on the box..
For all of any of you know,  9th could start with Karl Franz waking up from this Vision of what might be and thus he creates his romoured "mega power armoured holy Knights" and then its Business as usual...

It Will be fun to see what happens Next!
