So I'm going to the same tournement as SmellyOgreMan, who posted a few days ago.
Pretty good comp system for ogres. No butcher tax for the magic lore, and a choice between a 2nd Ironblaster/Crown of command. I'm going for the Ironblaster!
The only thing I really don't like, is that the list I'm thinking of will start broken. Its a Win/Draw/Loss system of 20/10/1 points, but there are additional points up for grabs, including 2 for being unbroken, and 2 for breaking your enemy. As such, I have a couple ideas so far, which I'd love a bit of critique on.
The main idea is below. I'm betting on lots of chaos, and lots of elves, so the two blocks of Leadbelchers will be very useful for stopping the redirectors/wild riders!
Mainly, i'm thinking of a couple options to change the list though. Loose the sabretusk and take banners on the ogre darts to prevent auto-breaking. Drop the 2 x4 Leadbelchers to a single unit of 6, and then spend points on more sabretusks?
Additionally, is it actually worth it putting bellowers onto leadbelcher units? Or just directly swap those points for banners on the ogres instead?
Finally, any advice on what lore would work well with this list? I'm thinking just going for the Great Maw anyway, but I've only played small points games so far with the ogres, and as I have the option to pick any of them, I'd like to pick the most useful for this list (mostly thinking of Heavens or Great Maw so far)
Thanks!
Slaughtermaster: Fencer's Blades; Glittering Scales; Greedy Fist; Level 4 Wizard 385
