2400pt Swedish Comp

original thread ↗

Inspired by the US masters and kylek2235's battle reports i thought i would take a shot at Swedish comp myself. Having only ever played ETC comp and uncomped Swedish was a nice change in my thought process. I wanted to play a really aggressive game and just try 'out generalling' my opponents. I sacrificed the big comp hit of the Ironblasters to take a strong (anti) magic phase. Inspired by Kylek2235 i have gone with Hunters as a replacement for the Ironblasters. In doing so has really pushed the limit of this new 50% limit on Heroes

Let me know what you think
Samurai Ogres of Nippon

I much  prefer units of 3 bulls to minimum sized gnob units, although they seem to be in vogue right now. Yes you get drops and a semi-useful chaff unit but a unit of 3 is so very useful.

Gorgers are something I really want to try out. Be interested in finding out how they do. I think I'd rather more mournfang but I'd certainly give it a go.

I realise the hunters + sabres can vanguard. But I think if I were running two hunters, I'd have one on a carpet.
Honestly I just seem to find Gorgers to be the 2nd most worthless units we have. If lucky they do come out on turn 2 they still can't do anything till turn 3 and that is if they come out on turn 2. Granted my dice hate me and they come out on either turn 3 o 4 so there isn't much left for them to mop up.
