sword of antiheroes question

original thread ↗

An ogre character with sword of antiheroes charges a unit with a character. He does get the strength bonus for his impact hits aswell doesn't he?
"Sword of Anti-Heroes - The Bearer has +1 Strength and +1 Attack for each enemy character in base contact with him or his unit. These bonuses are calculated at the start of each round of Combat and last until it's end."

So yeah, Impact Hits are at the very beginning of the Combat Phase so he will have the bonus then it'll end when the combat phase is over. Then of course be re-applied at the start of the next Combat Phase.
Does that mean stomps too?
"Scotland, the ogre kingdoms of the real world."
Does that mean stomps too?

Yes
Samurai Ogres of Nippon

Does that mean stomps too?

Yes

I have had it argued that the following from the errata means no.

Q: Do Stomp or Thunderstomp hits benefit from any other special
rules, equipment or magic items of the model that inflicts the hits?
(p76)
A: No

I'm not 100% I agree with this argument, but its fairly clear that the equipment isn't allowed to affect the stomps...
I've always played that things like greedy Fist and Giantbreaker will affect stomp and impact hits, as they increase your strength statistic,  not just the Strength of the attacks with the weapon you're striking with.
Yeah I play like that too. It's only mentions that magic weapons only affect str when rolling to wound in combat unless it states otherwise. And the sword of anti heroes does state otherwise so I'd say it does affect stomp. But the faq does say otherwise
One of my favorite magic weapons!
Me too, I have a tomb king playing friend who never seems to learn and always has 3 characters in his tomb guard, he makes it so easy haha 😉
