Hey all!

Im fairly new to the Ogre Kingdoms and Warhammer in general. I have a battalion set from the time the Ogre Kingdoms came out a bit before 2010(?) Im probably wrong, sorry if I am. I have the 7th edition army book as well. I was getting into it quiet a lot but then academic commitments took over my spare time a lot and unfortunately I didnt even get to play a single game. Now I have time to pursue this again, I was going to go with something like Wood Elves or Lizardmen but then I realised I had a battalion waiting to be used (plus Ogres are badass 8))

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what else I should add to the battalion and any other pointers anyone has for a newcomer to the Ogre Kingdoms such as tactics, weaknesses and strengths, painting and modelling. Anything that is obvious for a begginer to know.

Thanks a lot guys :)
Welcome to the stronghold, always great to add another Tyrant to the community

For your questions have a quick read through the tactics section and even the army list section. I have a list in their called No Hold Bar, i feel it has a lot of tactical advice in there so maybe you can learn something from it.

As for your army as long as you have your general, 25% core and a battle standard i encourage you to build and paint what you like. Especially as you learn the game you might as well enjoy the units for all that they are worth before taking all the best stuff (My army list post is an example of that).

See you around the board
