I finally got around to building all the models I own, so I figured it's time to challenge my mate to my first big game. I've never played over 2250 so its weird having so much room to move. First things you'll probably notice is that I'm using the traditionally "weak" choices of Scraplauncher - all I can say is that I've never used it so I'd like to try it out.
My friend will be playing either High Elves, WoC, or OnG.
I'm hoping to dominate the shooting phase and make my opponent take enough casualties from range that he'll move into easy charge range for my combat blocks. The Ironblaster, Hunter, and TTusk can fire their cannon/harpoons at anything big and nasty; the Leadies, scrappy, and TTusk can drop lots of dice/templates on large blocks of low T infantry, and the ME are there to snipe off BSB/casters.
Once combat starts, my blocks should be able to hold their own especially if the TTusk is still alive to help get my models striking first/simultaneously (or at least strip elves of their re-rolls).
The only thing I don't like is having only 1 Sabre... considering dropping the carpet for different toys and a 2nd cat. We'll see. Anyways, let me know what you think!
